- In today's video I tell you a little bit about my experience using the Hasselblad 500C and my introduction to film photography. Analog film will be integrated into the channels content over the next couple months along with some content you would normally expect here on the channel. If you have been waiting for me to come back on the channel I'm sorry for the wait. Let me know what you guys would be interested in seeing going forward. I have a lot of video ideas i'd like to create and I can't wait for you guys to see them. Bye for now!

I just picked up a 500 CM and 500 EL/M with an A12 (6x6) back and a A16 back (6x4.5), I shot my first roll of Cinestill 800T on the A16 back pushed 2 stops in an arcade and have been happy with the results. These are fun cameras to play with, for sure. A nice little piece of history. Your exposures are really nice, thanks for the share!
"Trying to make everything look like an album cover" 😂 I love it! Amazing video Vic!! 👏
It’s all about the mindset 😂 thanks bro!
It's really interesting to consider framing in a square format! Awesome sample photos too, it would be really cool to see what you come up with in a studio setting
Thanks bro, It’s definitely unusual but I think that the limitation of a square format forces me to be more creative! Hopefully soon I’ll show some more studio shoots when I get the opportunity
I’m glad I never mentioned the name of this camera till I saw this video otherwise with the way I would have pronounced it I would have come up with a brand new camera name lol great video btw
Weeeell, as a Swedish person I have to break it and say that he’s not pronouncing it correctly either. But I’m guessing this is how you’d pronounce it in English.
Love the attention to detail in this camera design. It’s almost like the still version of the Bolex h16. Just clean lines - looks so good 🤌🏻
For sure! When I see the bolex, the chrome precision design is very reminiscent of the Hasselblad! Would love to get my hands on a bolex 😵💫
came across the name hasselblad a couple weeks ago and bam - youtube recommendation ^-^ appreciate the breakdown
Good to know the UA-cam algorithm is in my favor on this one! Hope you enjoy the channels content moving forward !
Hasselblad gang. Awesome video. Keep’em coming.
Wait, what is this place that fixes your hasselblad? and do you know if i can ship over to them?
503CX+A24 Film Back : )
Hasselblads are gorgeous cameras. I always love the images that I get with the Zeiss lens. I'd love to invest in a prism one day. Great images and a really thorough review!
They are such beautifully crafted machines! Hopefully I’ll get some more lenses in the future, Thanks you so much!
...nice real-world content. I just thought I'd add a couple of points.
The optical configuration of your Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm f2.8 C T* lens does not differ from the last 80/2.8 lenses produced for Hasselblad's V Series by Carl Zeiss, so I wouldn't talk it down in a hurry. The C T* lenses also sport mechanical automatic depth-of-field indicators *AND* mechanical timers, a feature which I reckon would be more popular these days than in the past. Regrettably, these two features were dropped in the next version of the lenses, (the CF Series). It is a superb workhorse of a lens - my only caveat would be to get everything checked pre-purchase (we are talking shutter, aperture blades, focusing, timer, DoF indicators, collimation, etc.) - after all, these C T* lenses are almost 50 years old.
There is a lot more to this lens than the above, but I hope this helps. Enjoy.
Some really nice photographs, especially in your 800T portrait session. FYI, my C/M’s chrome 80/2.8 is a T*, made as Hasselblad transitioned to black bodies…
Great images. I recently got the 500cm. I have the exact same lens and it's stunning! I have the hand grip with the flash cold shoe. I have tried a Nikon flash with it indoor and it's great to have that flexibility. The flash I use is a SB26 in Auto mode I input the iso and f stop and it calculates the flash output so easy I love it!
It will be nice to see you do some more film camera stuff I am currently playing around with a Kodak six-20 by modifying 120 rolls to fit onto it
Yeah I will definitely be showing more film related content going forward. Is that a TLR?
I love my Hasselblad so much !
Great video! Love the images!
