As you so beautifully say, "God's not done with you." You are such an inspiration and shining light in this world. So glad you are feeling better. Enjoy your trip! ❤ from 🇨🇦.
Hi!! You're so strong. I'm 25 and I had a lung stroke when I was 23 because of a blood clot in my leg or pelvis. It was horrible. Really scary and traumatic. Thankfully I'm totally recovered. Young people also suffer from situations like these, You're not alone❤
That’s awesome that you’re writing a book! I’d love to read it. You’re so inspiring, even at your young age, and you have so much wisdom to share with people. You have a lot of great things to come!
You are not dramatic at all. You are a warrior and God has created you to do such amazing and wonderful things. Your amazing. That is all. Thanks for sharing these girl. Sending prayers and love!!
You are truly STRONG BRAVE and WISE beyond your 18 years. I am a nurse and listening to you talk about your recent scare just hits home for me, as I work with people daily. Blood clots, DVT's and PE's are very scary and are definitely something to be aware of on the daily. I am so thankful to hear you had such a great team working for you to make you all better. I hope you feel how you impact other people's lives for the better, with every post. xo- Pumped for your Alaska trip. You deserve all of God's goodness.
So thankful you are okay! My three children are similar in ages to your family (Michayla, Mackenzie (son), and Mackenna) and I greatly enjoy your updates. God is good all the time, no matter the circumstances, and you clearly understand that fact. Enjoy your travels! Praying for health and safety.
Soo great to hear a life update!! I'm so glad you are well now, so sorry to hear you had to deal with such a scary situation again. You are never alone. Have an amazing time in Alaska!
I didn’t have the typical college experience either - I took some time off for a couple of years and then did a fast-track college program while still living at home and saving money :) It’s been a few years since I’ve finished and I have no regrets - take your own path and it will lead you to where you need to be! Can’t wait to read your book someday❤️
Girl. Extubation is like they pull out part of your lungs. It was pretty traumatic. Being on a ventilator, awake, is traumatic. I keep you in my prayers and I'm really inspired and proud of you for your constant pushing of yourself. All of this is not easy. But know; you shine bright. All the best.
So glad you are ok ❤ I’ve been following your inspirational journey for over a year now. Your strength and determination is amazing ❣️ Your upcoming trip to Alaska is going to take your breath away!! I get to wake up to it’s Beauty every day 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Sending much love from Alaska 🙏🏻🩷🙏🏻🩷
I love how positive and calm you are! You got this girl! I know that God is very proud you rn for how you overcame all the obstacles life has thrown your way 🙏👏
I found out I had a blood clot in my leg in April. Had pulmonary embolism…clots were removed from my lungs. It was an emergency surgery. Currently on blood thinners, eliquis. I’m Praying for you. You are young and strong!!
This is a longer comment and I hope you read it. I can understand the fear of being in the hospital and having all of the tubes and things are out of your control. I was 17 when I got something called Guillian Barre Syndrome because of a flu shot. I was paralyzed from my feet up to my forehead. My doctors told me that I would regain my muscles and strength. Things did get somewhat better, but since I had a severe case of it, I never fully got over it. I had to have tubes and all kinds of machines. They eventually put a trachea. This was in 1980 and I'm 60 now. I had a directive written up with a lawyer because of how traumatized I was from everything that started back then. I have had to have surgeries a number of times and I always make sure my directives are followed. I had panic attacks for quite a while and since I've had a number of surgeries, infections like sepsis and survived them, I have done better with being in the hospital for surgeries, medical and whatever else. I'm a person of faith and I have a specific Bible verse that has always given me a great deal of peace. That verse is from Psalm 46:1 and it says, "God is our refuge and strength ever present in times of trouble. I've used that verse on a number of things like I had someone air brush it on my car. I've had bumper stickers made up and I give them out to people who wants one. Or if they need a reminder that God is going to be there for you in the good and bad days. I honestly believe that when I got so sick that in many ways it was a blessing. My siblings were all involved in drugs and have gotten into a ton of problems. My dad was in prison and my mom also had issues. I left home when I was 14. My pastor and others in my church helped me get to a safe place and I was very much hoping to become a missionary. Since I was involved in church and my pastor and others were my mentors more than my family, I knew that God was the only way to go in my life. My parents didn't allow any of us to go to church, talk about God, read the Bible or anything like that. It was a fluke in a sense that my parents were worried about their image in the community. Instead of forbidding me to go to church, they allowed me to go as long as I didn't mention anything that went on in the house and the things that they were all doing. I did confide in my pastor and others who helped me get to a safe place. My parents never knew that it was my pastor that helped me. Anyhow, I was 17 at the time when I got Guillian Barre Syndrome I wasn't able to get involved in the same lifestyle that the rest of my family has. They all smoked cigarettes and used drugs. I couldn't smoke or do things that would affect my breathing. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. I was also given the gift of getting to talk to people from all walks of life. Many wouldn't say that being paralyzed and not able to walk is a curse, for me it was a blessing. When I speak about Psalm 46:1. I share how that verse got me through some really bad days. God is still with me and He's always proving my doctors wrong. I've been praying for you ever since I saw your video about your accident. I know in my heart that God is holding you close. When I watch your video's I can tell that you have God close to your heart. I think I saw something about you being a Christian and if I'm not right, I'm sorry for assuming that. For me there is something special that happens to those who believe and I feel that way when I watch your video's.
I do online law school from my health issues, and i dont feel I'm missing out on anything, its amazing and i dont have to leave the house. Library books are posted to me, i participate in zoom calls for the lectures, its just amazing. Exams are all online too. You're an inspiration to everyone, you do you and what's best for you, but thought I'd mention online uni, cause it really is great and not a diminished form of college you attend in person
Makayla, I also wanted to say the enemy is jealous of how much you radiate love and life! Your radiation of gentleness and strength is so strong and a gift 💝 the enemy wants to steal it from you! That’s why he attacks you, but despite this he will not win! Because you are still full of so much light!! You are truly an inspiration 🩵
You are the best, Makayla! Your mobility and posture look fantastic! I'm so sorry you had to deal with another health scare. You and your family are in my prayers.
So happy that you get to go to Alaska and be a part of LO!!! Your strength and determination is inspiring.. God's got you and its so amazing to see how He's using your story!♡♡♡
Your such a strong girl with such a great personality and positive thinking. I look up to you. You enjoy your trip and I can’t wait till your book is done, I cannot wait to read it.
Dear Mikayla..You just ...somewhat surprisingly...popped up amongst all of the Japanese ladies I watch who vlog! Well,God put you there for me as I've been a bit down. I'm a 67 year old mother of 4, grandmother of 4 and lifelong R.N.Illness forced me out of the workplace some years ago.I got covid when it was new..stopped breathing in the ambulance and spent 3 months in the hospital..YUK!! One of those months was in a rehab hospital as I was paralyzed ... I guess from covid. No one knew!!! My family was not allowed to visit and couldn't figure out why I stopped calling.End of story...I'm in a wheelchair. I got most of my movement back but my legs just don't want to support me.Enter Mikayla!!! I try to limit myself to 2 or so videos a day so they last...but thank you!! You inspire me and never fail to make me smile! From one cheerleader to another..granted that was a long time ago ...but you are amazing and God isn't done with me either!!love Becky
You are extremely brave! Your energy, resolve and determination is something I’m trying to adopt in my life. Although I may not have the challenges you face, nevertheless, I can appreciate all that you’ve overcome. You inspire many people, including myself:-)
I'm glad the surgery went well Makayla. I love watching your videos because you inspire so many of us that watch your videos.Especially me because I am in a wheelchair as well
I hope that you can attend a community college BB ext year. Interaction in person with a classroom and students/ peers matters so much. Online school is not the same. You are a fighter and will thrive as you get out there and spread your wings girl!!!
Ask your doc about taking this medical record with you to Alaska! Carry them just in case for ship doctor. Do they have you on Coumadin, warfarin or some anticoagulant? (Nurse here, a mom too!) Have fun!
I was just thinking of you yesterday and now, here you are! You look well and I'm glad to see you have the same positive outlook on life. This is livin', girlie. Enjoy your time off. ❤️
you are a beautiful young lady and we have been praying for you and your family and tell your cat we say hello,we are very happy to see you get stronger, love from alabama
God has big plans for you ❤ You turned a tragedy, that would have made me hate the world, and just be a pain to be around, and made it a blessing to you and others, and are a joy to watch you smile🙂
You aren’t being dramatic! That’s a serious situation and it reminded you of another life-changing serious situation. I think you are handling life with grace far beyond your years!
I love how positive you are at life and the big changes as a young woman! I enjoy listening to your voice it’s calming and cheerful and you are so strong at no matter what life throws at you! I wish the best for you and your a good person and deserve nothing but the best and I’m so glad they saved your leg, thank god it was caught early, prayers for u..❤
Wow what a week! You are so strong.Thank you for sharing your inspiring story. I am so glad your ok. Enjoy the trips it will be cold! Your so special and I appreciate your faith and have so much fun watching your videos. Look forward to seeing you in Alaska, cant wait to see you and Mariahs fashions!
Aww! What a sweet gift to travel with that much family! I love in Washington state, but the hot side, so I would welcome Alaskan climate right about now. It was 100 a couple days ago, but then 60's today and drizzle. Today was great!! Have a great trip!
I am glad that you are okay, but please don't ever wait anything out moving forward. I had done exactly the same thing multiple times and my whole left side including lungs were covered in clots due to May Thurner Syndrome as well. I am also a wheelchair user and fortunately on blood thinners and have stents for my clotting disorder and to help lessen my chance of more clots. Know that my message comes out of love and caring. I unfortunately am very familiar with hospital visits and stays. Our health is very complex. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers if that's okay. Take care!
I am so thankful you are okay!!! I know how scary blood clots are. I had clots in my right lung 5 days after surgery in July. Fortunately, I didn't need surgery, just injections and now oral blood thinners. I feel like I'm still recovering. Just so thankful for God's mercy. Hope you have a fun and safe trip!!! ❤
Enjoy your trip to Alaska that sounds so scary 😮love following your story. Your story and courageous personality is so inspiring. Continuing to pray for your journey❤ Glad you’re ok. Hope you stay healthy
You are absolutely amazing , your inner strength is unbelievable. I hope soon all your dreams come true from life … truly inspirational. Angel in disguise … ❤
That is so scary but I’m really happy that your ok. That stint can save your life. I’m glad that was diagnosed and fixed for you. That’s the good thing out of this.
Your light will always shine through the darkness! I just love how all the animals are so drawn to you - they can definitely tell you are a good person and soul! God has got you, girl! You are such an inspiration and you positivity and optimism radiates! Sending you love and light in Christ :)
Hi Makayla happy Thursday night and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and I enjoy your channel because you are amazing Supporter
Sitting here shocked and knowing what came next in your story, the swelling spreading to your thigh, step by step, the blood clot removal surgery, the stent, May Thurner’s syndrome, because the same happened to me. Very serious and life-threatening. It’s been 8 years since they put my stent in. You are a strong young lady.
God bless you and continue to heal you. Hope you had a wonderful time one the journey (WA, AK and conference). I'll look to see if you posted about it all. Stay strong girl! You're attitude and contagious smile are truly beautiful. Your word(s) is RESILIENT and blessed.
Thank goodness you are alright! You're very brave Makayla. You're Alaskan cruise is going to be so beautiful. I'm sure you will all enjoy every minute. ❤❤❤
Thank you sm for sharing everything you do! I started watching your videos about a year ago and i think I've caught up on all of them by now lol. I relate to you a lot even though our lives are so different and you help me through the screen with the hardest times in my life. ILYSM and I can't wait for the travel vlogs (their my favorite) and all the other content you'll be coming out with!! Much love
I'm so sorry that you had to deal with that scary situation. I'm happy, though, that you able to go on your trip and see Alaska. Exciting and wonderful times ahead. I'm excited to hear what you think of Alaska.
Makayla, you are so inspiring with everything that you have gone through at such a young age. Keep your head up. Always Do Your Best Because Your Best is Enough❤
Such a scary situation you endured. I’m sorry that it was so triggering. I’m grateful that they were able to treat you and give you a plan moving forward.. Last year my husband had a DVT turned PE. The experience for us was shocking and jarring, so it had to be a lot to process for someone as young as you are. You are brave, and strong, and we wish you the best in your recovery.
Oh Makayla, I am so glad you are well! I read the prayer request. As a former nurse - and a paraplegic myself - I am well aware what that means. So I am so, so glad you pulled through! God has many, many more plans for you to inspire others. I am happy and grateful to see you going strong! Have an amazing time in Alaska 🙏
So sorry to hear about all you have been through, Mak🤗 Being in the hospital is definitely not fun. It’s great to see you doing well and making plans. Wishing you and your family the best pretty lady❤️🙏🤗
SUCH a great attitude towards life! Seattle is an awesome city .. I’m in Canada but have been there several times and it’s fun! Proud of your journey and you are blessed (as I’m sure you know cause you are so kind and aware) that you have a great family and fur family too! ❤❤
I am so sorry you had to go through this, you are so strong ❤ thank you for sharing your journey. I am so glad you and your Mom went to the ER that saved your life. God has a plan and we don't know what it is. Continued Prayers for you sweetheart 😘
I'm in a wheelchair due to Spina Bifida and I still hate needles to this day because I got the wrong end of a nurse's bad day once when she was doing my blood draw.. I was 8 and I'm almost 40 now. Still scares me.
U r so inspirational and strong 💪 🙏 for you and please 🙏 for me as i have struggles im going through can't wait to see ur Alaskan cruise and everything you share!! Stay blessed 😇
I was screaming at my TV “get checked for May Thurner!!!!” And 3 minutes later it was diagnosed… good doctor! You can also get a stint put in your back - there’s a doctor in Denver that specialize in doing it on kids!
❤❤thank god your ok and doing much better. Your maturity amazes me. I hope you all have a fantastic trip that will create many Many precious memories. ❤❤
As you so beautifully say, "God's not done with you." You are such an inspiration and shining light in this world. So glad you are feeling better. Enjoy your trip! ❤ from 🇨🇦.

Such a good phrase. Since watching Makayla, I have noticed I whisper that phrase to myself from time to time. It's such a sweet reminder
Having a loving mother is the best. ❤
Managing your health is your full-time job right now and If you don't have a burning desire to go to college , home is a perfect place for you to be !

I can understand the fear of being in the hospital and having all of the tubes and things are out of your control. I was 17 when I got something called Guillian Barre Syndrome because of a flu shot. I was paralyzed from my feet up to my forehead. My doctors told me that I would regain my muscles and strength. God bless you and continue to heal you. Hope you had a wonderful time one the journey (WA, AK and conference). I'll look to see if you posted about it all. Stay strong girl! You're attitude and contagious smile are truly beautiful. Your word(s) is RESILIENT and blessed.

ILYSM and I can't wait for the travel vlogs (their my favorite) and all the other content you'll be coming out with!! Much love
You will love the Alaskan cruise, I did my first almost a year ago. Soak up that beautiful scenery, it is amazing!

Awesome plans! The best education you can get is traveling. I hope your vacation(s) are incredible. Alaska! I am so jealous....❤
So glad your surgery went well so you can enjoy your much deserved vacation with your family! Hope you all have an amazing time! ❤

Oooh, Alaskan cruise!! That is something I would have loved to do, too. Awesome!! God Bless you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
How scary! I’m so glad they treated you in time and that you are ok! 🙏🙏
