There's so many differences in opinions for the game. It looks interesting, but I'm definitely waiting for reviews. Games cost too much to be willing to drop $70 on a preorder

@WesNemo I've been going back & forth between the 2. The whole 30fps thing had me worried about DD2, but I still think I may enjoy it more than RoTR. I just don't know cause DD2 will definitely be best on a PC. I'd end up playing it on my Series X & I don't have a VRR TV

I'm excited for this game , but 2 things worries me the combat is atleast in the early hours not as exciting as you would expect from team ninja. The other thing is that the openworld feels very empty in the 3 big cities there are hardly any npcs. Im waiting for reviews before I decide.
I haven’t finished nioh 2, but early game Nioh and most games are really cheeks and takes awhile for it to get good and open world being empty also scares me. I kinda wanna be able to talk to every Npc and interact with everyone but Ik that won’t be the case

It seems like the people who think that graphics are really important are giving bad reviews to this game and people who just want great gameplay love it.
I preordered it and I'm sure I won't regret it as I love Team Ninja games usually.
A 70 dollar game should have “decent” graphics and be polished for a AAA price.

@@KrakkenXXXummm every game is just 70 bucks now. Unfortunately, that’s just how it is. And these graphics are good. They’re perfectly adequate and don’t do to much. I’m sure on ur ps5, on ur actual monitor, with brightness and graphic mode, then it will make it look somewhat great. Also I’m sure animations and there being actual cities mean they can’t go all in on graphics. It’s a pick one or the other and I’d definitely take the ability to launch exploding barrels or blocking parries lighting your sword on fire, then graphics. Game looks polished ash imo except for the stupid horse lol. Although I wish more games were like ff16 tho that just make gorgeous graphics with amazing gameplay
@@electroelysium2281Uhhhh you do realize this game is dipping down into 40fps in performance mode on console right? DD2 has variable fps, but it will average 30. It still looks better than this trash in every conceivable way.

I just can’t get over how this looks like a step down graphically, from ninja gaiden. To be honest, Nioh 1&2 didn’t look even close to as polished as ninja gaiden

Dunno why they didnt just call this “Way of the Samurai” its basically a current gen version of it.
Because a samurai has a master or is the master to a clan of other samurai a ronin I believe is a samurai that has left a clan for whatever reason and goes it alone.

This was one of my most anticipated games of the year but the previews are very mixed so far. So I'm not sure about buying this game anymore. I might wait for the reviews and won't preorder it.

While dd2 does seem like a game i would play, but ever since i realized the game ran at an uncapped 30fps on ps5 it completely turned me off from the game especially for an action game that requires smooth animations, plus anything less than 50fps gives me motion sickness, but ive been looking forward to rise of the ronin for the last year and it looks like i had every right to be excited, im a massive team ninja fan playing nioh 1 and 2, stranger of paradise and wo long, i thought all were great games in their own right but the one thing i wanted from them was a bigger and more explorable world which is exactly what we are getting, and after being disappointed by GoT im ready for a good AAA open world game set in Japan

I think the game is mostly average or more. 6/10 maybe 7/10. I don't believe it's that great that we expect to be. I saw some previews sayng that main story/ncp dialogue and graphics are not so great.
So it's all about combat style that it seems okey. So the game is not worth 70 euro at all.

Cancelled my RotR preorder because this game seems more like a dumbed down version of nioh and wolong combined. Going to wait until release and see if it is more like wolong or nioh. Not a fan of wolong dumb down mechanic. I played TN game for rewarding experience, wolong doesnt offer that. Swapping stance with penalty and bonus already limits how much you can do with combo unlike Nioh freestyle comboing system. Only thing i hope they wouldn't copy ghost was the matching stance for bonus/peanlty yet they copied that system.
