    Isn't DPI dots per inch?

      That is in terms of printers, but for gaming its degrees per inch

      So... You're doing 650 degrees of in-game movement for every inch? 360 degrees per full turn. Dude, it's dots per inch, and refers to the resolution and therefore the sensitivity of the sensor. Look It up.

      @@CasualDHK yeah you guys are right, I had heard degrees per inch a long time ago, and been told about the 360/(how many inches your mousepad is not a singular inch) a long time ago, I will be pinning this thread

      @@tonomrwong you're correct on how people measure mouse pads for calculating optimal DPI and sensitivity settings though. Not sure if this is still done but it used to be a thing.

      I don't use in game V-sync because it increases my rendering latency by a lot but i use fast vsync in nvidia settings and cap my frames. Also i use max performance energy management setting for battlebit. When it comes to resolution scaling i use it instead of antialiasing because at higher resolutions AA is not very sharp.

    My reason for invert vertical mouse just came from early gaming where the only 1st person games around were flying games which are always inverted because of joysticks in planes. When Wolfenstein and Doom came they were keyboard controls (and horizontal aim only) so when Duke Nukem came along with actual first person mouse aiming, inverted just felt like the standard way to operate - pull down to aim up, like a flying game. So I've never been able to get my head around non-inverted mouse aim.

  • @motomat86

    I have been really enjoying 400 scale @ 4k resolution (so basically game supersamples to 8k then goes to native res of 4k). The world and map are more crisp and has helped a lot seeing people through tall grass and weeds in some maps. But this really is dependent on pc hardware as you mentioned.

  • @FubukiKai
    @FubukiKai 11 місяців тому +1

    Upping screen scale can genuinely help with spotting things. In War Thunder I actually have the game rendering at 4x my monitors resolution just because my pc can handle it (its a pretty light game anyways) and it helps me pick out tanks from bushes. Really does help a lot.

    • @benq994
      @benq994 11 місяців тому

      I use it instead of antialiasing because at higher resolutions AA is not sharp enough (at least on my old monitor) Also in nvidia settings for battlebit i use max performance energy management settings and nvidia fast vsync with capped framerate. My rendering latency is usually around 3,5-4,5ms rarely goes higher. In shooting range it's even lower.

  • @utahnl
    @utahnl 11 місяців тому +2

    Output dynamic range should always be set to full range for a normal monitor, otherwise you'll introduce banding which lowers image quality for no real world gain. Output color format should always be set to RGB unless you're running something like 4k 120fps and your display connection can't handle the full bandwidth, anything other than RGB will reduce image quality.
    You can enable vsync if screen tearing bothers you but it'll significantly increase input lag, using rtss scanline sync might be something to look into as it'll eliminate most screen tearing while keeping input lag to a minimum, though it has its limitations. Using a framerate limiter is generally the best option to reduce stuttering and input lag but you'll still have to deal with screen tearing, set the limit to a framerate you know you can reach at least 99% of the time otherwise you run the risk of reintroducing stutters.
    The fxaa and smaa anti aliasing options are rather poor, they are cheap screen space effects that reduce aliasing by blurring the image to an extent, smaa is slightly better than fxaa, using screen scale you can do proper multi sample anti aliasing and should be the preferred option if you have some gpu performance to spare. I have it set to 150% scale though a lot of players say 125% is enough. Anti aliasing becomes much less important the higher your display resolution gets.

    • @benq994
      @benq994 11 місяців тому

      Hi i totally agree. In nvidia settings you can set "fast vsync" then cap frames to your monitor refresh rate and using max perormance energy management setting for battlebit and some older games that has problems running without it (for example nfs carbon can't run properly on RTX3060 without that setting).

    Glad to see your channel growing and more gun reviews,builds and live play such a good way to show how to use weapons. If battlebit keeps going in a positive direction and grows you'll probably be one of the biggest community/content channel.
    Do you happen to have a group youd recommend to play with? I'm very causal at best,a little shy when talking on mic idk why lol, and have a sporadic schedule due to work, I found some groups in the discord for battlebit but they have comenmint requirements that I really can't meet lol.

    Personal preference, but I like to reduce the Hit Marker durations to .5. I feel sometimes it lingers for just that little bit too much where it almost becomes deceiving when you have a fast firing weapon. That might also be why you're seeing your headshot marker when you're getting a kill.

    BattleBit behaves a bit weird. I would generally agree on trying to get competitive advantage by putting every graphics settings on low, but I couldn't disagree more specifically in this game. For some reason, I notice no performance improvement whatsoever from putting graphics to low, and if anything it actually begins to feel more choppy maybe, so playing on ultra preset actually feels better and doesn't degrade performance at all. I have no idea how could this be possible, but it works like that on my PC. Even render resolution doesn't change much, so I've left it at default 125% for Ultra preset because at 100% there seems to be a bit too much aliasing.
