I just bought the cheap Torpedo Captor 8 model. The included IRs are pretty good, plus I can get decent tones from my amps without my neighbours calling the police!

Other than EQ for different sounds reverb is the most important thing to me the the wall that you slap your sound against and not for the types of sounds that you hear but for the little things you don't hear

What's the load box looking thing sitting under the suhr reactive load on your shelf?
Hi Pete. I have your cab pack for Wall Of Sound that I use with either amps and a power station, or my new IR-X. Did that pack have presets too? I wondered if when I load WOS and your cab that's how you intended the cab to sound, or if it's supposed have the settings in WOS dialed in a certain way to get the tones you were going for.
P.S. I do not have your cab pack for Celestion's Speaker Mix Pro yet, which is yet another thing you sold me on :D . I am getting on better with the plugin though. It's not a one click and play kind of thing. It's almost as complex as a proper desk, so it takes a bit of sussing out how to get it to sound its best (its really easy to clip its output etc -- I save if I like the sound, so if I mess it up trying to tweak it, I can just reload the save).
I don't hear it in the parts with the Paul Reed Smith singlecut I hear it in like the clean part in the intro it's it's extra on with what you have it's it's a digital thing in the background that just isn't there all the time it has to be either UA-cam compression or something in the plug-in where you're playing the clean
That clean part your first piece that you showed off just has digital noise to death
Maybe check your listening system. I don't know what you mean by "digital noise". The sound is just as I intended. Might just not be the kind of tone you like.

Even though you are Pete thorn and my UA-cam Idol. I have to tell it to you like I tell everybody else watch your favorite band on UA-cam on your TV it sounds like a million bucks and until your music comes across that TV sounding that good you ain't doing it right

It still sounds amazing because of your playing but I promise you less is more it takes a little more time to dial them plug-ins and then you're taken to do them I've never used a plug-in in my life but I have watched so much UA-cam of people doing it and it just has that same digital bleeding sound in the background
I figured out what that sound was Pete I've been testing all week and I can put my pod mic in the room and get a good sound just like 90% of UA-camrs out there and it's the noise suppression kind of sounds like some kind of weird chorus in the background do then I put the headphones on and run the modeler straight to tape I can almost emulate the room sound with my modeler and it definitely sounds better just straight to tape with the modeler so no I don't think it's anything that you've done wrong I think that the OBS noise suppression kind of sounds weird

Pete could you help me show off this old modeler maybe some of the new guys would send me a few things to try out I'm almost ready to start releasing videos I just can't afford the internet at this moment I would like for you to see it first and tell me what you think

Okay last comment I'll bet that you can take one of those stand-alone modelers and a few of your stand-alone pedals and run them directly to your interface and get the best sound that you've had on UA-cam

I'm just saying it sounds pretty good in your room but maybe you should listen to the mix on your TV before you let it out
It's nice to give audio files different this and that to mess around and make a million different sounds more into what a poor person would do to get good tone
To tell you the truth I think it's just UA-cam's compression
I used the software some time ago which was free at the time, so I bought some IR’s from them. Then they made the software a payed version and the free version didn’t work anymore. I could use it if I payed 80 bucks, never buying anything again from that company 🤬

@@TorSagen Yeah, that’s the one, I was even considering buying their hardware but after experiencing this crap I changed over to a different brand.

( just checked their website and the cheapest version is on sale for 39 dollars, normal 80 dollars. The old version was working fine but only with online login. They made the old version stop working because it was always working fine, I didn’t update anything on my OS, two notes just wanted you to pay for the software. I’m not paying again for something that was working correctly because they changed their policy. If I buy their software who says they will not do this ripp off trick again in the future.)
Yeah what happens to your plugins when you run out of money or have a bad month and can't afford to pay that
My phone is a crappy phone my internet service sucks but I have heard you sound much better I just love your tones but especially at the beginning of the videos there's been this digital noise that is just terrible
Well, I would offer, maybe that's the problem then. You can't critically listen to anything on the phone
@@PeteThorn I agree you can't critically listen on a cell phone but you can comparatively listen I mean I would add that you really can't listen to it right at all unless you're in the room what I'm trying to say is 90% of the guys on UA-cam Just compare crappie sounds this sounds different from that and that sounds different from this so you hear the difference and you hear what this does and what that does butt it still sounded like s*** from most of the guitar UA-camrs out there

Nope Pete go back and watch your videos on UA-cam on your TV and watch a video where you recorded with a mic and a speaker or with a modeler direct to tape and they don't have that digital bleeding and digital sound in the background like the newer videos of the plugins
