- I have played Paladins for 5 years now, and I main support. I'm not a grandmaster or a pro player, but I have picked up many helpful tips along the way. This isn't perfect for everyone, and that's okay!
Thank you for all the comments and support!

Wow, the effort and detail that went into this video was superb! Great job and I learned a lot, happy to subscribe!
Just found your channel and I'm going through all your videos. I have over 3k hours, but still find them very informative, relaxing and a great refresher from someone who really genuinely enjoys the game and has proper opinions and tips. You deserve way more subs!
your guides are genuinely one of the best, thank you for making them :)
your videos are a godsend, im mainly a frontline player but i’ll flex to support if everyone’s instalocking dps, i wish other roles had these sorts of videos about them as it really helps to get a good idea on how to play a character and why to use certain cards instead of the usual build videos
hey there! so glad i found your channel. i already incorporated your ying & lilith build & it works perfectly for me. can't wait to "steal" your rei build next hehe - keep up the good work & thnx for your content :3
I am by no means a support main. I'm actually a flank main, but I'm broadening out and trying to learn the rest of the game. This really helped me learn Rei. I've been coming back to this vid for a couple of days now. I went from struggling to defend myself and keep up with healing to being able to consistently out heal the enemy support and keep up with damage. Great work explaining all of this! It has been super helpful!
This actually helped me play as rei and I really thank you for that
I just got her today(I'm a Grover main) and I'm enjoying playing Rei. Thanks for this guide, it'll help me improve ^^
I don’t play Rei but it was nice learning about her kit. Nice video!
Absolutely love your uploads! Thank you so much! This is really helpful
Thank you! 💖
Ive been enjoying Focus rei as a healer lately
I like this about the supports, same character different playstyle.
I got so many 150k+ games
It was so fun
i just started playing paladians again im lvl 10 and i watched ur video when i was playing rei and now im watching it again it helps me once again!!!
Like your strix friend, I too hate fighting a Rei. Even as a healer myself. I watched your video and OMG playing her makes so much more sense now. TYSM!
This helped me so much
I love your videos💜
Just started playing Paladins with my wife. I've been using IO, Seres, and Rei. Been playing healers since Everquest in the late 90s and early 00s. I really enjoy paladins so far thanks for the videos.
Love this video!
I am a GM support main and I love your videos! You should do an Io champion break down, I'd love to see your opinions. I hope you make more support videos! ⛩️🦊⛩️
Thank you for this! I got 123k healing but I got reported for it:( so I thought I was doing really bad and your guide helped thank you!
rei is such a diverse and unique champion and healer and a lot of people underestimate her. she can be a good healer a good damage healer and you can even do both at the same time. she has good defenses and let’s not talk about her buffs.
10:33 the struggle all support players have faced
Real
I like using restraint when I have a second support, since that allows me to afford using spirit link and envelop more offensively than I would as a solo support
For having tested and played healing with focus and healing with extension (and deft magic card),i would say extension is better, not really because of the talent (the talent is okay but not great) but because of the link being 1 sec cd and deft magic being a thing, you can reduce the cd of your envelop and chain heal by a lot with this card, more envelops = more allies to protect 👍, and it's also easier to cast the ult on an ally and probably save him faster/easier from dying than if using focus, focus is not bad and i do think there is some good healing loadout possible with it like the card that reduce ennemy damage while link + link that does triple damage, or going focus for being an ult charge battery, but i would say focus is better for a damage rei playstyle (rei dps), btw restrain is really good if you go rei dps against grover/lillith/grohk they can't heal at all and will die really quick
Rei was one of my first mains along with grover. To me she is very easy to play but like you said when people do not group up it's fruitless. Not to mention your survivability goes way down because your chain heal isn't coming back.
here is a tip i just learnt today with rei, if a vora tries slicing you up with her ult, use your ult and you'll be fine, the animation will play of vora's ult will still play but you will survive it if you time it right ^^
YESSS ANOTHER ONEEEEEE 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤
ive been using her magic in the blood card so that i can reduse the chain heal cooldown while using focus. i seem to like it more then the envelop one
Honestly I like the card that reduces all of her cooldowns when you use her Q. I play it at least 3-4 in my builds. Also this isn’t known much but with that card in your loadout if you spam your Q in spawn for a bit when you enter the fight if you use your heal for example your heals cooldown will immediately be reset. It’s really good for when you are starting a fight and give your teammates more burst healing and ult charge. Same goes for your F. Albeit it is a bit tedious to keep spamming Q whole game but I think its worth it if you wanna get your abilities faster.
A great card! I personally do not use it tons but I think it is fantastic when people do :)
i used to run this type of build when i was first starting rei before i learned how to use focus, and it was definitely tedious spamming it the whole time, but it was effective in healing AND providing ult charge. it goes to show that either play style works, it just depends on the person!
Honestly thanks for these videos, they are pretty useful as I am comming back to Paladins after like a 4 year break from the game and I am trying some supports to find a "main" because I don't really like the other champion classes but dear god the new anti-heal mechanic is kinda killing my will to play as a healer/support, feels like it gets way to high way to fast into a game.
Would you find a video all about how to heal late game when anti heal is highest helpful? ^-^
@@Emmy13691 I'm not the other guy, but yeah that would definitely be useful! Great job with the guides
@@Emmy13691 god yes I would, I have a general idea on how to do it but no clue on how to put it into practice.
@@Eis_Cold Awesome! I am looking for other videos to do in between champion ones, so I will add that to my list! There are lots in the pipeline :)
what are your thoughts on the card magic on the blood? i usually run it at lv 5 but i dont feel like it is as impactful as it should be idk, btw love your vids they're so helpful coming from a support main
I personally used to use it but had the same feeling as you, it just wasn't doing enough so I switched it out! I just feel like it wasn't doing enough to be worth it
@@Emmy13691 yeah same here, might replace it w sth more useful, thank you for replying
My builds are more cdr oriented
Because her heal lacks a lot so it needs to be off cooldown as soon as possible
So magic in the blood and deft magic are ma daddies
I'm literally gonna play support now
Dmg rei is so good
Funny how people to this day still think Extension is the "main healer talent" and Focus is the "dmg talent"
I agree with everything except lepori prayer not being worth it. As a 1 off card it gets the best benefit, and it happens way more than you think. Compared to acio forces where the max you can get is 4% DR as a one off, it’s much better
I'll switch it out and give it a try! You make great points :)
How exactly does enveloping magic work? It seems to imply that Envelop ends if it mitigates a certain amount of damage, but I don’t think the ability description says anything like that. Or does it improve the “max damage per instance” effect of Envelop? Also, Hi Rez really needs to get someone to optimize their card descriptions. “Increase the Healing Spirit Links provides” definitely sounds like a typo. It would be much clearer as “Increase the healing of Spirit Link by X per second”
So first, the card, it is vague but it does increase the healing provided. As far is Envelop, it works the way I described. So if a Sha Lin, who has a base damage of 1000 shoots you and you are enveloped, it will reduce that shot to 275 damage. Every shot you take in envelop is reduced, you can take 10,000 or 1,000 damage but it will reduce each hit to 275 when active.
@@Emmy13691 I understand Envelop reduces the max dmg per instance, but what does the Enveloping Magic card do? Does it lower the max dmg per instance below 275? Sorry could’ve been more clear I was talking about the card.
@@bo_unerro Oh I am totally with you now! So it reucees that 275 damage. I at level 1 it reduces it by 7% so 256, level 2 is 14% so 237, level 3 is 21% so 218, level 4 is 28% so 198, and level 5 is 179! So at level 5 envelop will now be 179 max. Honestly had never run that math and it's pretty good!
I personally don't like Rei, she works well in ultimate based and grouped teams, close maps, and 2x supports composition, and into some champions that has a base damage per hit which is 300hp+ so your "envelope" will actually work properly well ... but against champions with a fast fire rate and with a low damage per shot that skill become almost useless + long map flanker and off tank won't probably get heals most of the time. Those are actually true point then the opinion is completely personal, maybe cause i use to play mostly flanker and mainly vii I'm saying that i never appreciate a Rei in my team, about ranked matches at least if it's a normal siege everyone must feel free to enjoy playing who ever they won't but trying to not ruin others fun
Don't main seven kid
@@Mr.Samuel250 ok bro, must be glad to be a so funny person in life
I don't know if anyone has noticed this but i think what was said in the video about how rei's healing is best in groups is true but is bad when your team is spread apart is false and the only reason why i think that is because of her talents, let me explain what i mean
rei has 2 ways of healing people
chain heal is by far her main and best way to heal, it does a lot but teammates need to be grouped up for it to be affective
spirit link can heal teammates but it's never worth using for it's healing capabilities, this is why rei should seem only decent with grouped up teammates for healing but there is one exception, spirit link heals 50 hp a second BUT focus can triple that meaning 150 hp for a short amount of time, this alone is why I think rei can still do decently with teammates that don't group up because you can still pocket your tank with your chain heal and if a flank needs healing you can use your spirit link on a flank and heal a good chunk of their health while boosting their ult charge by a ton, the other thing about focus too is that the triple strength also affects enemies too, because your team is aggressive rather than defensive this talent also allows you to defend yourself and even have the ability to dive low health enemies since your spirit link does 750 damage over 4 seconds mixed with the 30% slow and your weapon dealing 450 damage which is pretty solid for a support. now I don't think this makes her the ideal main support, you're still better off choosing other supports but it can work but it's just difficult to make it work because it's a rather unique way to play her
This is a great comment 👏
What skin are you using?
The first half I am using Valedictorian, and the second half is Golden Rei :)
I usually use Pumpkin Patch the most but I don't think it is in this vid!
I wish there was a tank version of your channel tbh
I'll see what tank friends I can pull for tips one day, my tank is Inara :)
as a 600 rei gud tips
An honor 🥰
Why would u rei ult someone who's gonna get hit by drogoz ult?? IIRC it only applies 50 dr to u and not to ur teammate
I'm sorry if I was unclear! It's 50% to Rei, but your ally is immune! They patched that just Rei would no longer be immune
Zenyatta? 😭
Do not keep spirit link on the same person the entire game especially if you have deft magic. I see many new reis do this.
i miss the days when ying and seris were the only good healers and if someone didnt ban them theyd just insta loose... paladins just got so toxic now its hard to enjoy lmao... if your flank is bad, hes bad, doesnt mean hes an idiot... or if your healer cant heal you in your 1v1 through a wall dont blame them... you got in the 1v1 without thinking aboutbhealers positioning(which is focused around healing point tank)
girl, gamer girl nice tags...
Being a woman who games is not something to be ashamed of nor is it a dirty thing. I add those tags so that other people who identify is a woman can find my videos and find somewhere they may relate with more.
