- Welcome back to another video! This is my guide on how to play Evie in Paladins, Season 4. Evie is one of the hardest champions to play in Paladins, requiring good game sense, map knowledge, mastery of her kit, and aim in order to do well with. In this video, I'll be giving you guys my tips, tricks, and loadouts to help you get better at Evie. This guide covers her base kit and tips for using her different abilities, ability combos that can help you kill enemies, ways to practice Evie's abilities, proper ice block usage, and how to build a strong loadout, all with the goal of helping you improve with this difficult yet rewarding champion!

Andrew, what applies Caut?
@@T.K.F. Weapon shots apply cauterize on any champion. In this case, Evie's ice staff is what applies cauterize, whereas her ultimate, which does not count as a weapon shot, does not apply cauterize.
@@AndrewChicken does barik's turret apply Caut too? And does that mean, abilities doesn't apply Caut but skill shots does?
I just watched 20 minutes of how to play Evie even though I know I will never play her.

Evie is the only champion where I'm not even mad if they kill me a lot; I just respect good Evie players.
I started out with Evie. I liked the character design and tend to prefer learning a hard, often underestimated character. Same with Vega in Street Fighter.
Resulted in being brutalised for a fair while though lol.

I play on Xbox so I can’t turn fast as Pc players so I jus turned up all my sensitivitys and it also helps me with Maeve cause I’m a Maeve main it’s fine with io any ying but I don’t know what champions you play so that was probably irrelevant but yeah!
Same lol i played her using kbm but im on ps4 the sens is so low its hard to dash and use E on enemy
i am the worst at playing with flanks (my main roles are tank and healer) but i'm really into Evie, and i won't give up until i learn how to user her properly... this video helps a lot
I'm glad that us Evie players aren't hiding our tricks anymore. That's partially the reason why this champion is so hard to play. None of the Evie players want to show their faces and share their knowledge.
Andrew, I think it would be really fun, if u make a video where u give one tip for and against every champ in the game, like pushdabutton does. Or, like one thing that everyone does wrong with each champ

Tbh I always liked evie's playstyle, I like how hard working and dedication you have to put on this champion to master and I like that this champion is rewarding when you fully master her

Thank you so much for this video. Evie was the first champion I bought and I played her so much that she's my highest leveled champion but I still wasn't able to play her that well. This really helped!
Thanks for the quality content, Andrew, you rock! Evie was the first flank that I tried and it didn't go well. I tried her again a few months ago and still found her too squishy. It's funny because I also tried Kinessa and Cassie at first. So I switched to low-skill champions and did better. I'm just a filthy casual anyways so it's all for fun.

6:15I just wantes to remind u something evie ult hits for 600 and when u use snow globe it's half duration and double dmg which causes her ult to do 600dmg anyway so it just hits faster not more
But you can stack the effects

No, it should do the same dmg regardless if u use snow globe. It deals double dmg, but for half as long

Using over the moon or wormhole: 30 damage every .25 seconds for 6 seconds
Using snow globe: 60 damage every .25 seconds for 3 seconds
Same effect, but snow globe deals the damage faster
If you use both snow globe ults at the same time: 120 damage every .25 seconds for 3 seconds

This helped a lot! But one of the cards in the load out wasn’t really me but impact helped a lot and I got 40 kills with the cooldown resets! Great guide Andrew btw chickens my favorite food hehehehhe!

I was thinking of putting her in my champion pool and it looks like she is gonna take just as much or even more practice than maldamba and I see a lot of my mistakes thx your awesome keeep it up
For me the soar speed card is very important, cause under 4 i got mostly killed in soar, cause im so slow.
I learned alot from this video thanks.. i can now play evie in ranked more comfortably

Id say a huge mistake on wormhole build is not increasing distance of blink, buts thats just my opinion
Overall amazing content as always!!!
By most high elo players wormhole is the choice bc you’re not meant to teleport somewhere the enemies see you, and good wormhole players aren’t predictable

I'm new at this game and Evie is my main hero, my first hero was Viktor but he felt slow and Evie fits my playstyle. She is fun to play.
Im an over the moon main, only thing i have differently in the loadouts its the soar speed, blink heal, and killing frost at 3 and impact at 4 for 100% reset instead of 90%, it doesn’t seem like much but if someone has the health for you to one shot them immediately after your soar that extra 1 second matters a lot.
Evie mains let us rise and sit on your ice throne’s

I have played 66 lvls on evie, most of them on wormhole and founs out that once people start to shoot you when you blink back you can trick them by shooting more then once adter blinking whilst they look at the place you blinked from.

Hey Andrew if u even see this comment, do u have any tips on how to hit shots because I am struggling trying to predict the enemies, and how long did it take for u to get good with ur shots if u don’t mind me asking
if it helps fellow fgcs, she is a full one proper rushdown character with insane combos, reversals and quadrillion way mixups and the ice block is literally an fgc block which focilitates on the enemy neutral, so if it helps use this mindset when playing evie

i love playing evie....but i am a console player lol. shes so much fun but damn if playing her on console isnt a bit masochistic

To avoid dmg upon exiting iceblock i always aim DIRECTLY upwards and soar (I buffed my soar speed by atleast 21%)
I think the most important mistake for new evie players is ice blocking for too long. Most of the time when u activate ice block u want to get out of it right away and use another ability or finish ur target.
Would you recommend the card that heals you when you use your ice block? I have seen many times Evies healing in front of my face then flying away

If you make the other team motion sick, thats how you win with evie.
I am on pc and I figured out how to play her and now i am destroying meaves which I hate to play against but with evie it’s different.
Great vid! For items why not use lifesteal? She does a lot of dmg...
Life rip can work well in some circumstances, but I pointed out kill to heal in the video because it's super effective given that it can heal up to half of her health back (since she only has 1800 health), and her loadout/playstyle revolves heavily around snowballing kills.

Also I am a lvl 47 just coming back to the game and I feel like a lvl 3 and I played plenty of games practiced shots and combos but the aim is just so hard

Stages of becoming an Evie main:

After trying her with a controller for the first time on stream a few days ago, I don't know how ANYONE manages to play her on console. I have no tips for that.

Impact card is useless with wormhole cuz when you've not blinked back you have NO cooldown. Need a blink range 5 instead
evie is hard but other game experience can help like doomfist in overwatch, or soldier in tf2 soldier for hitting her primary and doom for movement my doom experience help me with movement but still cant aim for shit
as a tracer main i've found her movement a lot easier to get used to

there are other people that can shoot you and get rid of that 90 extra hp fast, if flicker 3 or 4 were to be there over cantrip 4 (or replace cold acclimation 1 for cantrip 1 if you put flicker on 4) it would give you that extra hp back and itll work out
on top of that, a good evie would be able to be the "housefly on crack" that she is, and make it so that shes not even humanly trackable when fighting the sniper so they would have a really hard time landing a headshot, better yet a single shot
but its all just personal preference so I'm not one to say anything
Well, replacing cantrip could be helpful in such a build. I just left that card in because I really like it. The most important thing with that build is the cooldown reset combo and the health card to make it anti-sniper. Other than that, yeah, you could absolutely do that.
Also, buzzing around like a "housefly on crack" hasn't stopped some Kinessa players from ending my whole career with just one shot on a few different occasions XD

Evie is not a possibility lol
it is actually, you need to use little bit higher sense, im one of them :D
Im a console player and I play evie a lot. I changed my control settings so it could help me out more which honestly does. I recommend you changing your setting and trying those out to see what works better for you!
