I really like these coaches! I've got two in LNWR livery, I am quite fond of the plum and cream livery. I also have another one in LSWR salmon and brown livery and one other in GWR Chocolate and Cream! They are ideal for small branch line style layouts with mine and with tight curves too.
I’ve bought some in LSWR, GNR and LNWR liveries and I adore them. They’re simple but still very well detailed and nice looking. Currently I’m aiming to buy some NBR ones too.

They will be a boon to people who want to have a layout in a small space. A Terrier (or similar sized tank locomotive) plus a few appropriate coaches would look like a reasonable sized train in a small space, ideally in a nice, pre-grouping livery. The Maglight system sounds interesting, although I don't tend to imagine pre-grouping trains having very bright light. There is a similar system on the market, but that is activated by vibrations. (The light goes off after a couple of minutes of non-movement). The Maglite system sounds a better bet to me because I found that every time a lorry went past outside, the lights would come one, draining the batteries.
Shouldn't the rear of the LB&SCR brake coach be red, and the overall color of the coach just a tad darker? It looks correct in the stock photos, but not here. But someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
They are doing Great Northern Railway- it's just the GNR used varnished teak as the colouring of its' coaching stock, which the LNER also adopted for passenger stock- though as the older coaches got more tired and tatty, they were cascaded down to secondary and branch-line work, and repainted in a plain brown.
