The Community is currently speaking and has been speaking since Zyriel. However, the team is simply not listening or adapting. Looks to be an unnecessary miss and fumble on what should be a slam dunk feel-good event/sale.

I am not buying anything until they address the real issue of the broken tokenomics of the game instead of dumping even more cards to an oversupplied market.
All the present sales are still based on the ATH market. The prices went up when SPS was on fire but stayed there when the market turned. Of course nobody is paying that much when everything is plummeted by 95%. Should'nt these sales follow market trends on the way down as well? Also, if the DAO paid for these cards, should not the DAO have a say on the pricing?

I am not - but I'm thinking of buying Waka + Lux for less money than the maxed rare. That should tell you something... :)
I’ve bought all the promos until now. Too expensive and I can only justify it so much.

The price of these new cards will probably bleed in the market. Just buying it cheaper later might be the best option. If the team starts extorting players with cards that are absolutely necessary to buy with these prices I would consider moving some assets to other projects.
I feel like $15 would l have been the fit price, good for whales to max and good for newbs to go all in for with low funds.. but it seems the teams greed has been a little green, too much green in their eyes 😔
I believe the team was in a parallel universe with splinterlands in the bull market. Are they for real? The pricing exceeds that of a meta summoner such as Yodin.

The values of both Wakka and Lux Vega are on a steady, unsustainable decline, which is a serious red flag. I’ve invested heavily in both of these Promo summoners, and their pricing right now is absolutely absurd given their long-term potential. Frankly, the current pricing of these Promo cards almost guarantee a loss.
Summoners like these should hold infinitely higher value due to their unique role in the game, but the market is reflecting none of that. The rental market is even worse-barely pushing $2,300 in daily volume. At this rate, you're looking at a three-year payback period on rentals alone, which is completely unreasonable for anyone hoping to turn a profit.
This entire situation reeks of a cash grab. It’s clear there’s no balance between investment and returns, and until something changes, I'm passing on any further investments. The numbers just don’t add up.
I want a bcx of that 0 mana. But with the same value I could get a max lvl vigilantor, or 3/4 max level rare chaos legion summoners... so....dificult to buy those at that price.
Sad but too expensive. Can't even use DEC-B to purchase. They should bring back discount when using vouchers ;) Or, burn other cards to get a discount.
Many people like myself lost their faith in card prices going higher in time. When i first started this game, i saw the cards as an investment, so spending money for a card was easy knowing that i can sell it back whenever i want for a similar price or even more. But now seeing all card prices -especially the old ones- are dropping, what is the point really? I already have enough cards to play, i dont need new ones. Only cards that interest me are the new legendary summoners.
I'm certainly not buying them at whale prices, and in the splinterverse there's so much I still want, like a max Thaddius Brood so I can spend my $ better imo :)
With the current system, cards just won't hold their value. Hence, the lack of demand.
New cards need to be better than the previous ones to sell.
The team is pumping out more promo cards(and probably mini set) to sell even when the player base is down.
Older cards then get moved to Wild "bot only" zone where you're forced to bot or get drained by bots; or land for more useless tokens.
So before new cards get released, you'll need to ROI with SPS/DEC that'll never be listed on T1 exchanges.
Then rinse and repeat with new cards under the same old game mode the past couple of years, and now with a small team that's mostly tweaking the game while hoping new players will come.
Why would new players come to get sucked into this ecosystem, especially when it's health is a going concern, on a chain like HIVE?

Cards are simply too expensive for what they are - I could get so much more value for that amount of money.
Also Altumns tells me he won't need them to compete for the leaderboard, so I'm not going to get any.
In addition - even if I wanted to speculate, it would make way more sense to just buy SPS.
I think many have the same mindset regarding SPS
delusional developers….. first for fee they requested from dao secondly for pricing of cards.
This legendary is basicaly useless…. 1 mana epic with same ability showed us why…. That aditional damage per fiend dont have point when it is exausted most of the time.

I'm not buying anything. Next year the cards will cost a third or less of what they cost right now. Plus, new cards will come out that will be even more "meta" and more rare. Not spending real money on this lame game.

I HATE HIVE WALLET!!! I deposited Bitcoin almost 2days ago. Still hasn't arrived in wallet. This has happened over 5x. I have to open ticket to get my funds. This wallet is truly garbage. They at this point have stolen my funds. It was confirmed on the Blockchain. I'm sick of having to do that. And they haven't responded in 2days. While I wait for my own money. Splinterlands is on THE WORST BLOCKCHAIN EVER!!! Can't even deposit to buy PROMO cards. I hate this game I hate Matt. I ahte Hive. How many times they gonna steal my money? Wtf is wrong with these guys. Have a sale then cannot deposit to buy. Eff these guys. More excuses. I don't even play anymore. You guys as investors should be very mad. If we cant sell cards how are we gonna grow? I won't waste Credits because DEC is 30% discount. They cannot do anything right.
