Know what I love..I love that he didn't torture us with ugly, way too loud ,MUSIC 🙉
I've been collecting vintage costume jewelry for almost 40 years and I can honestly say that you've put together an outstanding group of pieces! Bravo!
Boy, would I love to see your pictures!!
Love! Thank you! You'd lose your mind@my Grammy's house...and the area alone. OMG. Vaudeville costumes, jets from the Civil War, costume jewelry galore(200yrs this house has been in my family+I'm 5th generation in the industry... Hoarder!)
Trifari was a big company when I lived in Rhode Island. I know many who worked there, and we always thought it was cheap jewelry. To see that it is worth money now is amazing. I appreciate your knowledge and sharing the wealth of information. I’m slowly learning, but getting there.
Perhaps what folks value/appreciate most about some of the older costume jewelry, is that the 'gold/silver tones' still look true to color today- better quality metals & finishes used. You won't see those peeling or getting super dull. Same for the costume 'gems'~ better quality overall, meticulous workmanship. Nothing at all like the crap hanging in every dang dept. store today, for the most part. Great tutorial Don- missed this one.
Love this video! Thank you for the education on these fine pieces and costume jewelry makers!!
Excellent video. I’m hooked on costume jewelry.
Thank you I watched your video last night I just have a eye...I found A Christian Dior vintage Swarovski Crystal chain & a Gold Tone chunky chain Ralph Lauren
ho no 😳 I got several Trifari items, and I gave as a present to my friends, the last one I gave is beautiful frog that I got second hand store for $12.OO, thanks for your educational video .
Oh noooo 😭😭😭😂😂😂
From the comments below, it looks like you got us "jewelry junkies" attention. Love the video. I do have one duet clear rhinestone pin.
Found a Claude Lalane piece at a flea market for a dollar. Sold it for 900, but only cause it had a chip in the cheak of the apple. Did not even know until a week after I bought it. Just thought it was a cool smiling apple pin. Anyway love your content. Oh and forgive the spelling of the artist name, not sure if that is correct. The back was marked CL.
That's amazing lol just a smiling apple caught your eye and it literally paid off ❤️
The jade green set reminded me of jewelry that maybe Cleopatra would have worn?? Liz Taylorish.
The white enamel Trifari Precious Pets pins are highly collectible. Years ago, I worked in a building where Trifari had their showroom. Trifari dumped boxes and boxes of jewelry in huge dumpsters in front of the building. Some people were even jumping into the dumpster to retrieve the jewelry! Many of the jewelry pieces were not completed. Others looked like prototypes. I managed to retrieve a few boxes, some boxes had the Precious Pets line. Some of the pets weren't completed, their eyes were missing, others were finished.
Beautiful display and very helpful. Thankyou
Great video! My favorite pin was the Dior one.. Thanks for the info!
This is such needed info as I embark on costume jewelry. Loved it. Thank you!
Thank you, AP!
And tell your wife, "You go, Girl!" (All the showy stuff.) I greatly admire women who are confident.

I would love if you’d another updated worth and collectibility video on costume jewelry Pretty CrownTrifari Please! and Thanks Don!
I have been finding alot of small silver rings and pendants in the bins at angel view cost 25 cents each
How would you be able to tell if it is a trifari
Great video, sir. There is definitely some solid information there. Finding vintage anything in my area takes quite a bit of work - as the video you did about the fire chief telling you to map your entire area - and I am trying to canvas my entire area and go to "out of the way places" to root out the good stuff
I loved this very informative video. The jewelry is exquisite. I love the gaudy stuff.
.. going through my parents estate..and this video (amongst others of yours ) have been extremely helpful...we actually have a few trafari pieces...not sure what to do with them... thank you for the information..☮️&🌱's
Hi Don, loving the videos and info. You share THANKYOU. Can you identify something I found in an old button tin?
Do you do appraisals on jewelry and or other items, if so can you send me some information on how to get started? Thank you
Just found your channel so excited love Trifari beautiful

Amazing video...thank you!!!
Awesome and very informative!
I learned alot. I am trying to figure out the jewelry that was given to me, it's value sorta and where to find makers marks
Thank you !
New subscriber here, loved the pins and information given. Thank you
I have a number of vintage brooches including a few trifari. My question is this, how can I find out the value of my brooches. Some are unmarked and I am certainly no expert. How do I find out they're value without spending $100 per appraisal?
Great information
Fabulous vid, always learning from you.
I understand about the ivory, but how do you determine if the coral is legal to buy and/or sell?
Has anyone heard of jewelry made by Lady Buxton?
Did anyone else notice that the pea piece actually has beans in the pod? X
Thank u !
Omg I sold mine jewelry at Etsy for so cheep
Hello, how do I purchase some? Do you you ship to PORTUGAL?
Very interesting. ❤️😻😻
Are these values you show on E Bay actually sold prices or just asking prices? Can't tell if they're in the green or not.
Sold
Oh I wish how the women in my family would have loved costume jewelry as I do. Instead they had a love for what I call boring mall jewelry. 😔
hmmm.... I have a rhinestone CHANEL pin like the one at end. Don't know if it's legit.
super! Thank you
Wow!
I have one of these that is a cat, can I get a new truck now?
If I have some, how would I sell?
I need more info on how to find out if something I have is valuable. Like I have a ring I'm looking to sell, on my Esooko page, (sustainability centered depop/Etsy) and I noticed it says 10 karat gold on the engraving. The diamond on it could be real, but I have no idea. I'm not sure where to go to learn how to identify these things. I almost sold that ring for 20 dollars🙃😵 I need help!
All jewelry has to be stamped if it's legit noble metals. tTe ring may say 10K BUT........if it says 10K G.P that means gold plated or G.F. is gold filled........so they try to trick you sometimes. If it's European it may say .750 meaning 75% gold(18K). There will always be a mark if it's real and fairly modern. If it's gold it will feel heavy and a magnet won't stick to it either. You can also look at the edges around the diamond setting under a magnifying glass. If you see any kind of flaking......that will be a sign that it's plated or filled. From time to time you may come across some REALLY old stuff that has no markings on it, or fake markings as well so always be wary. Your local jeweler may also be happy to test it for you as well if you ask nicely. You can also buy gold acid test kits and diamond testers online for a reasonable price if you end up needing to test a lot of items.
I'm shocked at the prices on fake jewlery. Nice designs, though.
Ty for another great video. How do you validate attribution to Trifarri and other brands and specific artists - are they all marked? If not, and seems high quality, are there easily searchable resources? I have hundreds of pieces from an estate. Ty
It’s not blue glass it’s called sleeping topaz
I think you are meaning sleeping turquoise, but that is not what they are selling.
great content but what are the chances i will ever come across this?
0 if you're not looking for them. We've found many similar in the same price ranges as have many other sellers we know. All you have to do is look at the sold listings to see a LOT of people find them, since there's thousands and thousands that have already sold.
Trif’ arri with the accent on the first syllable. 🙄
I wish you would have included pictures of the backside
