Would love to hear some more hype commentator moments as I'm sure they're fire, but this certianly ranks up there. The history that this set has is incredible. Scar and Tophs background with both Amsa and Mango makes the calls so much more important. The fact that they commentated sets all along Amsas career like his first upset of M2K in 2014 at Kings of Cali 4. And seeing Amsa on this long long road to beat the best melee player and win a supermajor... The raw emotion in their casting is fantastic and if you don't think it's one of the best calls because of that then I'd love to hear what is because it's gotta be earth shattering

With all the odds against him, Amsa won against Mango TWICE (one of the hardest players to beat especially when he got momentum like he did in the last few games) with Yoshi who has a shorter grab than Marth & can't even jump out of shield! Someone understood his mechanics more than anyone else, and learned how to truly use that to their advantage. 19:51 i think its my first time seeing mang0 face desk + smash controller like that. that tells me he really didnt play amsa lightly as a friend but a real-strong opponent and went all out on him. such historic set. awesome + congrats for both players

A lot of people talking about aMSa winning his first major and first super major at the same time, talking about how he parried the Fox Up-B into the opening that won the game, and talking about Yoshi finally having a major tournament win. HOWEVER, can we talk about how aMSa took Mang0's last stock as a 0 to death with a parry mixed in? There is way too much to talk about in this set. So insane, down to every interaction between these two players and their characters. Having to defeat Mang0 TWICE in the same tournament to win? Talk about absolutely scary no matter who you are.

    Congratulations aMSa!!
It's been so sick seeing the yoshi master climb in tournament placings this year, from fifth to third now first for the first time ever. Such a sick first tourney win too!

This is such a win for melee as a whole. People have been saying for years how good it would be for the overall meta for Yoshi to win a major. And for amsa to win THIS one, where everyone was playing out of their damn minds, is just astonishing.

The mad man did it! aMSa has been my favorite Melee player ever since the M2K set in Kings of Cali 4. I honestly teared up when he finally won today. After watching him get so close so many times it feels sureal to finally see him win a major. And what a major to win.

The win in game 5, of the hardest tournament to date, against a person who is infamous for coming back from the losers bracket, on final destination, each on your final stock, and to win the first major tournament, using a YOSHI...
This was super poetic and the most satisfying thing I have ever seen in melee.

Winning the most stacked Super Major, with many of the top players playig out of their minds (Mango was shitting on everyone until he faced Amsa, IBDW was cracked af, Zain was looking like he wanted it so badly, and Jmook was doing Jmook things), playing a mid tier, and beating the two last active gods, who still are pretty much the gatekeepers of Melee's top echelon? All the ingredients for what I would consider one of the best tournaments ever played.
In the relatively short time I've been watching Melee tournaments live, I've seen a Falcon, a Pikachu, and a Yoshi taking the W. What a thing of beauty Melee is.

Just reporting in as a casual player of melee since 2008-ish and someone who has enjoyed watching tournaments regularly since 2012...its so insane to see aMSa win and see Yoshi vindicated as a viable winner of a supermajor. It just shows there's still SO much Melee to play after all this time, it's incredible. Congrats aMSa!!!!!!!
