I accidentally locked my keys in the car and called RACV to come help. And the way he was able to unlock my car was so easy it shocked me how easy these cars are easy to steal. All's he did was. Shove this inflatable thing in the side of the door where the window was. Infated it making a small gap. And then simply using a wire, slides it through and pulls up the lock.

If you do alarm, you can try install an additional siren inside the car to annoy the thief or at least make them deaf while trying to steal it. Usually if they know you have an alarm they break into the car, pop the hood and cut the siren first to silence the alarm. If you can get a battery backup siren under the hood and another siren installed inside.

this just happened to me 2 weeks ago during the weekend, i left my wallet in the car in the glove compartment and i had a dash cam, although they couldn't pull the wire out. cops don't do anything even though theres a huge crime wave of cars being broken into. they got into my car shortly after i got home. they literally went to places with cameras and the cops aren't going to go check it out.

I made my own alrm system for my car useing some wire. Alomenum foil Paiper a 12v normally open relay. And a switch to activate it. So how it works is simple. I made some simple switches useing the aluminum foil and wire. The paiper is so the foil won't tuch the metal door. I wired the switches to the relay so when ever the door is opened the relay closes. I also put a physical switch so I can turn it off if I'm going around town. I have a switch on each door so it's protected. I then wired the relay to the car horn so if one of the doors opens with out the alarm beaing disabled it will turn on the horn thus wakeing me up an calling attention. I'm planning on adding a switch to the trunk an hood as well as buying a wireless switch to disable the alarm so the horn dose t go off when I open the door an flip the switch. Hope this helps give you ideas to protect you're car

man, this happened to me but I took the law into my own hands. I heard someone outside at 3am and get out to see teenagers running from outside my beater civic. I caught up to them and got a hold of one, took back wtv change he stole from me and took his ID, warned him that I knew here he lived now so he better be careful, the look on his face was priceless. You were lucky that police actually showed up, when I called them, they took 2 hours to get to my house when I live 5 min away from the station. They were completely useless.
Sorry for this mess, dude. Your car should be a personal space nobody else can screw with. I’m always hoping nobody tries this crap on my 1991 Sentra SE-R, I’d be heartbroken if they did a number on it or took it. It’s never too late to use more anti-theft, I guess.
I had a 1200$ Clifford alarm on my 2003 Acura 3.2CL typeS and it’s saved me from getting towed a couple times, that alarm had an ignition cut off switch; was amazing the little key looked like a cellphone people would ask “is that a little cell phone on your key chain” ... it just showed what parts of the car the person was messing with and would flash that area if it was sun roof door, windows ... this was back in 2008 that same alarm is probably cheap as heck, it had a 2 mile long reaching capability... I’d def check out Clifford alarms
I bought myself a detachable wheel for my Mugen Accord just for these exact circumstances . I don’t have anything really of value in my car other than maybe my head unit , but then again it’s only worth $75 - $100 , as well as locks on my center console and glove box . I also removed my electric door lock assembly that can be used inside the vehicle , I did this because my neighborhood had a few cars broken into and they were all newer cars and had electric power door locks . (And as you may know , any electronic device that has a receiver and a controller , in this case . Your car being the receiver and your key being the controller . Runs on a certain radio frequency . )And with this said frequency , criminals can use certain applications on mobile phones or some type of device that can transmit radio frequencies , can then match your door locks frequency and unlock them with just a push of a button . So just a heads up for you guys who own a newer car , maybe disconnect the battery at night and have a spare key to open the doors in the morning :)
Sorry about what happened dude I been there so i know how it feels. The good part is that they didn't take off with the car. I had my car fingerprinted and the found the sob :)
I know it sucks, but at least it wasn't worse. My 95 Civic was taken on Saturday at 3:35am and luckily it was found yesterday (Thursday). The neighbor's cameras didn't show the people, but it showed the other car drive up to mine, then it showed both cars drive away literally 2 minutes later. All they took was the car battery and my inexpensive stereo. My steering wheel was also dented a bit. What's weird to me is that the locking mechanism on the club was still intact. They just broke or cut the black metal around the lock.
Crime rate in Boise has seem to been rising a lot lately. Few months ago someone in my neighborhood who was a mother of a friend of mine was stangled and taken advantage of, before that there was a string house robberies in my neighborhood, and before that some tweaker randomly broke into someones house and killed them. I don't even live in a bad part of town (or at least it wasnt 5 years ago). I had a 2001 Civic ex coupe and someone stole the wing off mine.
Great car bro I like the acura webs I been throw something similar a good friend told me to unplug the relay on drivers side in the car that will make the car not start but the alarm still works to the vehicle if u have one .
An old lady in my neighborhood had her forester stolen in broad daylight. Everyone was at work and no one saw it happen. Thieves went after another neighbor’s Range Rover and scattered when the alarm went off.
The most I've ever experienced was people constantly taking the hood ornament and wheel covers off my old car. Now I've got an 03' Odyssey, which isn't that "hot" of a vtec Honda (still sounds really good), but it does have some stuff inside. I should be careful after seeing this video.
Some advice factory and aftermarket alarms won’t help at all it’s a false comfort instead look into chipped programmed keys and ignition switches from factory Honda you can research and find one cheap at a wrecking yard or salvage yard and take it to the dealership to have it rekeyed and reprogrammed also consider a fuel cut off switch hidden so they can’t drive off yes you may still have a damaged car but you will still have your car of any type make and model
This is why I got rid of my Integra. Too much trouble from fools, and unnecessary attention. I like being able to sleep at night. I had multiple break in attempts and I just left the Honda game, and car game in general. I still drive a 1997 Civic for commuting but Its my beater car and even then I put a wheel lock, alarm, and park it by my room.
a giant flashing light on the middle of your dash! lol also make a toggle switch for your main relay so thieves cant start your car at all. better than a fuel pump kill switch. also a clutch pedal lock is a nice deterrent. maybe a home made cover for your radio, like a piece of an old DVD case or something so it stands out less when someone walks by. i know how it feels tho, my same type of car was stolen for a few days before i got it back :/ needless to say ive done some anti theft stuff to my car myself!
Those years of hondas the keys interchange. I bought a keyswitch at autozone and the new keyswitch key fit the old one....idk why the deal is with that but...
Look, after twenty+ years of unlocking and starting your car with a key, the integrity of the lock gets compromised so much it's easy to unlock without the dealer key. Replace your locks and these petty ass break ins will be reduced. After petty break ins comes people trying to steal the car. Get an alarm, make the installer tuck the alarm wires well into the firewall so they're not easily ripped out. Use a killswitch or just straight unplug some wires and get a clutch lock.
You got lucky they were after the car what I see happened is that they were trying to use the key to start the car but couldn’t because the cylinder wouldn’t turn with what they had. After the failed use they did were trying find a key to start the car but they were caught so they tried to make it look like a failed attempt at the stereo. A stereo thief would be in and out with your stereo in seconds and not be caught.
I used to have a 97 Civic beater. It was literally a piece of junk and thieves broke into it twice. There was nothing of value in the car though. They just took a cheap stereo that I didn't care for. You know you've hit rock bottom when you resort to breaking into some old beater cars lol.
Dang that sucks, has a similar experience about a month ago, i parked my car (1996 civic ex sedan) and locked it and came back and the car was stolen. Found it with no radio and no front wheels. Also they took the sensor for the door so now the light doesnt turn on when i open the door.
At least they got caught dude. Here in the uk theft from cars is rarely investigated due to police cuts, even house burglary doesnt always get a response. Take it on the chin man, not really much else to do without putting you & yours at risk

That's exactly how the USAA guys did it when my wife left her keys in her van once.
Scotty wasn't wrong when he said don't get a Civic they're the most likely cars to be stolen and or parted out.
Their also the number one car resulted in accidents aswell.
That's just how numbers work when you produce and sell the most amount if vehicles in a time frame.
Corollas too.
John Smith A stock Honda Civic will not save your life in an accident, that car understeers like a bitch & I've seen it in videos & heard experiences from people IRL to know i'd prefer more confidence.
Rev up your engines! Oh...wait. Your engine was stolen.
i heard back in the day on forums like one and 7 honda keys were the same back in the 90s and hondas are easy to steal they wouldnt be going for the AC/Radio area they would be ripping off the lower column cover and had it stolen already
Stephen Cain yeah in high school I had a 98 civic and this guy had the same car as me and he got into my car with his key and put rocks and lefs and shit in my car trying to prank me or some shit but that wasn’t funny or fun at all man I fucking hated it :/
Dam your the PD where you live actually cares lol where I live they broke into my car stole my tax files , light bar and even spilled a monster in my passenger seat and the cop that took my report ignores me and I never heard from them again
Battle Toad that’s so shitty, I’m sorry for that bro
Ezra Inthehouse it’s all good lol it’s just funny how they broke into this guys car and they took finger prints and everything!
Battle Toad different people handle situations differently. That really is shitty tho man. They could’ve took the extra steps to do those same things
Damn dude. They really wasted a monster??
I just recently bought a clean black 2000 civic si and the very first thing I installed is a killswitch, I’m saving up for a good alarm and then a detachable wheel.
Unhook the ignition under the hood.
Same thing happened to my 9th gen si. Broken into but they didn’t steal anything. Just a huge mess, a broken window, and a cigarette burn on the driver seat. So many haters out there bro. Keep doing what you’re doing.
that sucks man. Hope it got all fixed up!
ALLDAYANTHONY yeah man. That was back in 2016. I Have motion lights and cameras now. Cigarette burn is still there. It bothers me so much. I not even a smoker. I Saw that junk yard video you posted, I might take a look at my local junk yard for a “new” seat.
This happen to me yesterday they broke in my Honda eK hatchback they only stole my weightlifting belt and my ray bans they didn’t even took the stereo that’s kind of weird
Kiki shit dude my 01 si coupe has been broken into a couple times, my father recommended leaving nothing in the car but something they would take disconnect your battery and have a tracking device attached to it. I’m looking into it. Cops have told straight up they won’t help.
this just happened to me 2 weeks ago during the weekend, i left my wallet in the car in the glove compartment and i had a dash cam, although they couldn't pull the wire out. cops don't do anything even though theres a huge crime wave of cars being broken into. they got into my car shortly after i got home. they literally went to places with cameras and the cops aren't going to go check it out.
Broke ass gym rats
They stole the VTEC
No, they did not steal the iVTEC.
They broke off the top of the HVAC and took nothing.
@@newagederpderp r/woooosh
Dude, I feel sorry for you two weeks ago someone try to take my 05 mercury grand marquis. It looks like they did not what they were doing. The dashboard light was red solid i called the cops. They did not believe me they told me to call them again if something else happens. I still have it, I just end up disappearing my own vehicle. Thw worst of all it happen when I was at work from 7 to 9 and night. May God bless you and take care of you.
Chris fix has a great video on how to install a hidden kill switch
I made my own alrm system for my car useing some wire. Alomenum foil
Paiper
a 12v normally open relay.
The thief probably couldn’t drive stick and left
lmao
In America stick drivers tend to be people from poverty so I doubt that's what it was lol
its a manual so no wonder they couldn't steal it
Dingo damn why you mad 😂
Damn!!! That sucks Anthony....😞 such a clean ass Honda too! 😡😡
I found the robber sleeping in my car I guess he got tired from looking for the kill switch and gasoline kill switch too it was very strange on why he slept on my 03 Honda Civic well at least you didn’t get jacked cause those a holes dismantle the car and body for parts great channel good knowing you ✌🏼
haha what a wild story. People are crazy man
I'm from NJ. Retired from the Honda game. This was nothing new over here. Back in the day you really had to watch who you dealt with in the Honda game here.
And I'd have add. Especially around here in 2021 the Honda theft game is no where near where it was. So that sucks its coming your way now.
what radio is that?
Wow that's the reason Hondas get stolen. They don't have alarm systems.
man, this happened to me but I took the law into my own hands.
@Aug 18 im 6.3, 230lbs and it was a fat 18 year old with his skinny friend leaving him behind cuz he wasn't able to catch up... Wasn't hard
Too bad the thieves didn't get one to their head.... A waste of air..
Glad they found them. I have a 98 civic hx and love it but it was recently stolen and recovered. The cars are awesome but they’re too easy to steal.
That is very true
Whoever did this is pretty low
Sorry for this mess, dude. Your car should be a personal space nobody else can screw with. I’m always hoping nobody tries this crap on my 1991 Sentra SE-R, I’d be heartbroken if they did a number on it or took it. It’s never too late to use more anti-theft, I guess.
Just gotta make your Honda un- stealable. Remove the fuel pump relay when you park it and for bonus points get a quick release steering wheel.
Just had my new head unit stolen from my GSR this last weekend from my garage SMH I feel you man, sucks people can’t respect.
just found your channel, I live and grew up in Boise, cant believe someone tried to break into your shit, keep up the videos brah i just subscribed.
I’d def check out Clifford alarms
god damn that radio is one hell of a unit
I was thinking just get a quick release steering wheel and just take it off the car when you leave lmao
luckily it was not stolen ... otherwise it would be John Wick mode
Sorry about what happened dude I been there so i know how it feels. The good part is that they didn't take off with the car. I had my car fingerprinted and the found the sob :)
Lmao when i started scrolling down this popped up and i tought i saw a nindo switch in the thumbnail
Man that’s a sin, you know how hard it is to find a dash that clean in a pull a part!!!
Definitely wasn’t like this a few years ago :(
@@ALLDAYANTHONY
Time to move back to po dung hagerman Idaho... Lol.
nice civic, nothing flashy just the way I like them
me too
Great car bro I like the acura webs I been throw something similar a good friend told me to unplug the relay on drivers side in the car that will make the car not start but the alarm still works to the vehicle if u have one .
Yep i do to my integra
If u have a honda get an alarm
Agreed
They just wanted something to use to cool down the heat I guess
On the bright side....at least the Evo is still mint.
I would have hunted anyone down if they tried to steal my car!!!! Good of that neighbor with eyes looking out for you!
I am so sorry you went through this man!! 😞Some people just suck plain simple suck man. Hey man love your radio where can I get that radio 🙂
I have a 1999 Honda Civic SI all black and I'm scared for it to be stolen even with NRG streering wheels locks etc.
I’m surprised in Boise there’s not that many cars being stolen because down here in Pocatello it’s a continuous thing and the city is way smaller lol
Those years of hondas the keys interchange. I bought a keyswitch at autozone and the new keyswitch key fit the old one....idk why the deal is with that but...
Put it in next to the evo?
Get you a pit bull and leave it in your car and see if they will do that again lol
Metal keys. They slide on the side and push the lins down on the metal frame. Then they just slide the head unit out.
That’s horrible to hear dude
At least they got caught dude. Here in the uk theft from cars is rarely investigated due to police cuts, even house burglary doesnt always get a response. Take it on the chin man, not really much else to do without putting you & yours at risk
