The ones where you're walking next to the girl on the sidewalk, it is considered 'considerate' in Japan for the man to walk on the road side. This protects the girl from a number of things... if it was rainy, and a car hits a puddle, she won't get splashed, the wind caused by the fast moving cars won't blow up her skirt... etc. It's a protective thing.

Coffee might be her go-to, and an automatic answer. Considerately, I point out her condition. She can confirm the coffee, or change her mind.
I relate to Arin's "kuuuuuukiyomi", I started learning Japanese this past fall semester and our teacher expects us to hold double syllables for so long. Like, Tokyo but we have to pronounce it "Tookyoo"
Thats so english speakers get used to phonetically consistent vowels, since japan vowels are on most cases short and some are held just for a bit
@@kyomademon453 I understand, it's just funny to also hear Arin extending it the way he does, because I know why he's doing it
My Japanese teacher expected that from us as well, but she herself was Japanese. It becomes second nature after a while, but some words/names still sound odd (even after 15+ years of studying the language). "Susanoo" and "Houou" still sound weird when I hear them spoken.
On a side note: hearing someone say "Toe-Key-Yo" instead of "Toe-Kyo" hits my ear wrong.
@@yakumoyomi5765 toe hits my ear way too much, should be toh instead of toe which sounds like to-oo
@@kyomademon453
I understand. I wrote it out as "toe" primarily for people unfamiliar with the language (as most people reading this would know English and how to pronounce "toe").
It's like Warioware: Social Therapy Edition.
this is the best description of a game i've ever heard
The first part is literally GameGrumps in 50 years
It's such good make up it's scary
@@andycandy4833 that's cuz it's not makeup. Mills just looks a tiny bit like Arin because he's his uncle.
@@RabblesTheBinx 😱 I had no idea
I believe Mills likes to wear make-up, so there may be some. It still looks good!
@@marclink0 really? Welp, you learn something new every day.
23:07 the chivalrous thing to do when walking with a lady is to always walk on the street side of the sidewalk.
Arins alter ego voice always makes me laugh with the biggest, stupid grin. Love it lol
i kept thinking it said “No.” and then the next level number
In a time where some people are being less then Considerate, this is the important content we need. Take care everyone!
26:37 "Give me a drink, bartender." *shifty eyes*
*trumpet fanfare*
32:37
Is a reference to Grave of the Fireflies
Arin made sure it goes according to the story.
I screamed when that showed up.
oh shit! i think you're right!
Yes! And it made me super sad!
@@Ng1Brad in that way, it could be the considerate option
32:34 oh nice to see such a wholesome grave of the fireflies throwback
I’m sure someone had said: “Let’s have a drink every time ‘consider’ or ‘considerate’ have been said.”
I'm sure someone considered it
They should've considered their liver.
25:14
A classic super sentai trope is that yellow is typically the fattest one. So I guess the considerate thing to do would be to raise your hand.
God the make-up on Arin is spectacular! You can hardly tell he's really Dr. Cecil H.H. Mills when you watch him on the Power Hour.
Hes *WHAT!*
Dr. Cecil H. H. Mills is a real person. They just look really similar because, you know, genes.
Danny's confusion is me adulting.
"What the hell is happening right now?!"
"Are we winning?"
"This is bananas."
lol that makeup is pretty legit. If I didn't know it was Arin already I might not catch on.
What are you talking about? Arin didn't appear on-camera in this episode.
@@RabblesTheBinx lol I see what you did there
9:40 HAD ME LITERALLY DYING, oh the bashing and smacking haha!
Oh no, are those characters in the “Big bro” one from Grave of the Fireflies? 😭
Yep, pretty sure. Arin just killed the poor girl
@@remo4644 well you know... shit happens
Arin, you killed her again! Really heart wrenching scene to pull up for a lesson on consideration.
9:23 got me crying on the floor laughing
Dan: Forces the couple into the poop
Also Dan: I am an agent of chaos
29:35
Weird, Arin sounded very similar to his famous author uncle. Cecil H. H.H. Mills
Weird...
Arin: I just want to be considerate
Danny: You can't your American
*you're
Pointing out grammar mistakes isn't very considerate.
@@noregrets92 In a way it is, because you are helping them not make the same mistake in the future.
@@nicholasbrown4109 Yes, but at the same time, it is also rude to a foreigner because the "your" rules are a very confusing and arbitrary rule that only English enforces. Correcting it makes the other person feel stupid.
@@jolynekujobackfromprison744 They rules are pretty simple (coming from a foreigner)
Arin, starves a child, "That was the right thing to do right?"
“Big Bro doesn’t wanna win, right?”
I didnt know where or which of my favorite Grumps video I needed to post this but I just wanted to say that you guys are the necessary positive that enlightens me from your jokes to your insights of life that always brings a smile to my face no matter the circumstance or time of day. Thank you Game Grumps for your content and keep it going during these trying times. Thanks again
"it took a while to put all this gray shit in my beard, I'm gonna record a lot of promos"
them describing how Japanese characters feel made me so happy
I haven’t even seen the video yet but I’m SO EXCITED. This game is all about reading the atmosphere, to the point where they even stay “what are the controls? Read the atmosphere.” and other such things like that.
It’s a blast.
“Arin lets a little girl starve to death”
of course he does, he's Arin Hanson.
Thank you guys so much for still making videos for us to watch. I have been laid off due to my job a depressed lately and still seeing you guys post videos puts a smile on my face. Keep on keeping on guys and stay safe❤️and that’s for the grumps themselves and the team behind them.
I still read that as "Ghost Hunter Sad Venture Club"
Arin: we need to avoid the poop.
Dan: you're going in the poop.
Me: XD
Uncomfortableness the game
This....is an AWESOME Avatar. Very considerate of you
18:06 completely ignored GOLD COMEDY
32:35 Grave of the Fireflies
Dan is such a beautiful boy.
I'm thinkin he might be the best boy.
0:20 wow arin really has a lot on his mind. tell us how you feel
For the life of me I cannot figure out why Arin would think he was supposed to beat Big Bro
Same idk
Hear me out, but I think Dr. Cecil is actually Arin from game grumps
I love the choice of hashtags for this video
This contains some helpful etiquette tips.
32:37 what a weirdly dark reference.
The grave of the fireflies reference killed me 😢
him, too! ( ba dum tshhh )
no one recognized the "Grave of the Fireflies" reference :( i nearly shed a tear when the girl stated that she was hungry then the tin can topping it off
Oh my god, that Grave Of The Fireflies reference at 32:36! One of the best Studio Ghibli movies
Edit: He didn't let Big Bro Seita win. Arin, you monster😂
25:25 This has to do with tropes in power ranger style shows. We all know red is the protagonist and/or a hot head. Blue is red's rival (exact nature varies with red; smart if red is dumb). Pink is the girl, because sexism. So.... yellow and green. These tend to be given to the sidekicks- the kind of guys that always make up the legs off the super robot. One common sidekick type is "fat guy".
