Hello and welcome back to Quirk Analysis 101 the series where I give you a detailed rundown on the quirks in the world of My Hero Academia. In the last video of this spooktacular edition, I discussed the ability that belongs to the number 2 showman, magician supreme, Mr. I’ll cradle your balls, lend me a hand, Atsuhiro Sako a.k.a Mr. Compress, and his very basic but beloved ball building quirk, Compress. In today’s video I will be discussing the quirk that belongs to the fan-favorite flaming hot boy, Senior I’ll burn you but you’ll still call me daddy, I told you being emo wasn’t just a phase, key member of the league of villains, Dabi. Hokkaido would've been a great place for dabi to set up base as a hero
What’s scary about his quirk is that you don’t have to be directly hit by his flame to get severe burns, lava can burn and melt things even when they are multiple feet away from the lava’s surface
Lavas not that hot to do that look it up only a few inches away it can start to burn things a foot is a stretch

@@anthonyphillipb Woods was no threat to Dabi. He was getting ready to burn through woods restraints. That's why Torino reacted. Even if Dabi saw him coming. The hell he gonna do against that kind of speed?
He doesn't have his Dad's athleticism and mobility. He's a glass cannon. He can easily wreck shit. But can easily get wrecked himself. Now if his body was healthy. And was able to train and get buff and athletic like his dad? Oh he'd be a monster.
David himself is also a weakness to the quirk. They explained in the manga to Endeavor from a doctor that Touya was born with a body fit for cold like his mother but got a stronger flame quirk than Endeavor. See how that's a problem? It's basically the worst outcome possible for a fire and ice quirk user mix while operating as basically a birth defect. That makes him even more vulnerable to the flames.
I'm really fascinated by possible genetics in MHA like this because sometimes kids are just born with random disabilities due to fault in genes or outside substances. What would happen if someone could breath fire had a kid with someone who can hold extra air in their lungs to sustain themselves longer. That's amazing in theory because the kid could just spew flames for a good while with no extra breath but one of the parents smoked and caused issues with the child's lungs which hindered the potential they had. Dang MHA is so interesting and I wish I could make a side series for it.

Actually, dabi's resistance to cold comes from his cremation quirk like how Rei's resistance to cold comes from her Ice quirk
@@xxmension04xx47 that doesn't make much since though. Rei's resistance comes from her body being better suited for the cold and her quirk is a part of her DNA. Dabi got the shortest end with a father suited to fire/heat and a mother suited to ice/cold I reread the manga of the chapter where the doctor explained it to Enji and Rei.

@@eclipse7963 I think Cremation is as easy if not easier to control than Hellflame. The reason he's burning is because his body is made for an ice quirk.

It's sad when you think of all Dabi could have archived if Endeavour didn't treat him as a failed experiment. He literally doesn't care about dying just to get revenge on the person who could and should have helped him the most to use his quirk.

That and endeavor never taught him precise control. He only taught him how to turn the heat up.

Regarding one of your points about Dabi's weaknesses, It's important to know that ever since he burned alive on sketos peak and was rescued by AFO, every organ and body part in Dabi's body was SEVERILY damaged and his nerves were almost at the point of irreparable. Meaning, Dabi can no longer feel any sense of pain throughout his entire body. So when he uses his quirk, he doesn't feel any of the drawbacks of having a weak constitution nor any other pain like physical attacks from his enemies
I dont think this affects Dabi all that much. In the volume Horikoshi clearly stated that Dabi does have resistance to heat. Dabi barely used his father's techniques like flashfire fist and still beaten top pro heroes like Hawks without giving his all. The problem is his emotional state which basically caused by Endeavor's neglect. He burned himself up in Sekoto without blue flames because of the intense negative emotions caused by his father's neglect. Upon Twice's death and his reveal as Toya he burned himself and continued burning up due to all these pent up emotions and his mental state.

12:29 you really had me in this video especially that part at the end we explained both the benefits and the drawbacks of it especially for it to user and that dark tone where you hear nothing no music and you explain it's horror aspect sounds like you're in a murder movie and Dabi is a mass murderer he was even willing to kill his brother just to hurt his father that just showed how far he has fallen because of his quirk and his father.

Dabi's quirk is by far the strongest quirk in MHA. If you say all for one is a better quirk you are wrong. Not only can you control flames hotter than lava. But because of the quirk abilities to be able to enhance the strength and heat you can make the flame HOTTER THAN THE THE CENTRE OF THE SUN. But if you can control it you can push all your flame out of a single point to move and fly like a rocket. But because cremation is this hot he will be able to go 10X FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF SOUND. And not only this but cremeation can produce heat and can compress it into a marble and create a ball of flame so hot it will burn the flesh off your body in a second. But if you can't control cremeation this much you'll still be EXTREMELY OP. Yes Dabi was born with a body meant for ice. But if he was born with a body meant for flame he could definitely create flames MUCH MUCH STRONGER. Which yes can get hotter than their body can resist.

Cremation is strong, but flames can only do so much against what One For All and All For One can do.
Well Cremation can be helpful, anybody who is caught in the flames will get burnt alive.

Dabi's vulnerably to fire isn't directly linked to his cremation quirk but rather the fact that he inherited his mothers physical constitution do to her ice based quirk. They are to separate issues that, while they would be beneficial on their own, are extremally detrimental when combined together. While it's fair to say that the fact that cremation didn't give its user a heat resistance physique IS a weakness it isn't accurate to say it is the quirk itself that makes its users burn so easily.

If we are being realistic or through “powerscaling” their flames would be way far above 3000c because of how fast they burn things also I would say that he could manipulate his flames like endeavor he just never truly trained techniques for his quirk, just how todoroki couldn’t manipulate his flames well without help from endeavor

I actually don't get dabi using flashfire fist: jet burn since if the flames become white-hot it means he's lowering their temperature since blue flames are hotter than white flames

The quirk itself doesn't burn the user but because Dabi inherited his mothers resistance to heat and his dad's style of quirk he burnt himself. If he didn't get that from his mom he would not burn himself.

if he didn’t burn himself his quirk would only be useful for a limited time, after that he would need to cool down.
So hey made it’s quirk weaker (you need to reach a limit if u don’t want to burn urself) but if u go beyond and burn urself u can still keep going so yeah, it’s basically the opposite what endeavor wanted, to be able to create a quirk as strong as his with no limit, but it happened and the limit is bigger (you can use it a lot more) but u burn urself

The closest support he has is the coat he wears which is fire resistant, but he’s affected by his quirk because his flames are just that hot.
He's basically azula, a prodigy with blue flame abused by his own parents and now is traumatized beyond fixing

This quirk seems awesome on paper and looks cool in action but sucks against semi important characters and above, for example when Nejire got hit with blue flames and was hardly hurt.

Supposedly unbeatable quirk,
Never got a W from any of the pros he’s fought (aizawa, vlad, snatch)
He’s always needed help or for his opponent to be weakened when fighting real pros, even with hawks he caught him by surprise and hawks was weak to fire.
I don't think he ever went for a finishing blow for those heroes but I thought his quirk was not that much stronger than endeavour's cause it wasn't shown how much hotter and better it is.
