What if you're afraid to sleep bcs something bad could happen?

  • Trying to control uncertainty around sleep becomes like any other compulsion to chase control and certainty. It could be just useful to look at other compulsions you're practicing during the daytime to chase certainty. The brain is only trying to do at night what you've been teaching it all day.

    Thanks for the tips Mark! I used to get really bad anxiety from my violent thoughts, now I’m on my way to recover, i still get them but I don’t get anxious anymore! I’m grateful for your videos that help me on my recovery.

      I had the same question when I first came across one of Mark's shorts! He answers questions every other week on Instagram for subscribers, and I believe that's where this came from. This is the full video. But he also answers questions every other week here on UA-cam, in videos called Brain Tech Support Live. You can find the past ones under the Live tab on his channel.
