Simeon, you know what struck me? You are one of the few musicians I know that actually opens an orchestral library, picks a preset or multi and then starts to PLAY the instrument. In an actual MUSICAL way. Anyway… lovely playthrough. Very cool library it seems!
Thanks my friend. Each sound has a seed of a melody, an emotion, something inherent in its structure that resonates in different places and the result is what comes out as I play, I just sort of follow the musical breadcrumbs. Another thing I try to do is try and find the light inside of a potentially dark library which is sometimes a challenge but so worth it in the process of discovery.
Simeon you are absolutely amazing. With no doubt, the very best reviews about vst instruments. Your streamings are captivating....you enjoy what you do and we all enjoy it too. Thank you.
My pleasure Alex, it makes my day when I hear encouraging words like yours. Knowing that you are being a help and that viewers are enjoying sharing your experiences is so rewarding, Thank you so much. Joyfully!🎹
Thank you for your words about us at 40:00. ❤ I wish there were more good and sensitive people in the world!! Sensitive to music and to other people. Let goodness flood this world!!!!!!! ❤🎶😊
Truly beautiful performance throughout. Honestly, the only channel I've found where the presenter is so fluidly in and with the music and the instrument. What a continuous pleasure, thrill, and inspiration to witness and experience such true craftsmanship and love of the craft. The end was the icing on the cake and the surprise pudding inside. Just subscribed and can't wait to explore and learn from all the goodies here I have yet to discover. Thank you for sharing your talents, wisdom, and love. We all send more back in return.
This reminds me of my Korg KROSS 88 and its Combi mode. It will play rhythms and basses in the left hand and strings/choirs in the right with a variety of combinations. It was fun to play around with for inspiration. Symphonic Destruction of course has way more versatility though. Symphonic Destruction may be my next purchase.
That does sound very interesting. It’s amazing what they can do with the hardware workstations. I’ll never forget the first time using the O1w FD and bringing up The Finale 🤓
Love your face "Wow" . I was in the same situation when i tested this library ...This is the one of best library i listened since many year. Thanks a lot for your great video Grettings - Neil
I'm a bit late to the party with this library and just picked it up in the early Black Friday sale. I must say this is a really amazing library that I'm going to get a lot of use out of. And Simeon, your playing ability is equally amazing and truly inspirational, especially for a non-piano player like me. Maybe I'll learn to play properly one day😊
Thank you for your passion and your talent ! It's always a great pleasure to discover new sounds with you, like with no one else ! When i want to be sure of buying a vst without to be disappointed after, i watch a video from you and it always makes the decision ! Thank you again !
Thanks for the great demonstration, Simeon! It sounds wonderful, brilliant and as a addition to damage 2 a powerful composing tool, different to the trivial stuff. It`s impressiv to listen to you when you play. 💪👣
Yves, it is my pleasure. I was picking up things on the chat and that inspired what happened at the end of the video. I always want to be sensitive to the moment and encouragement always supersedes the review, the instrument provides that extra boost to bring things together. Thanks so much for your continued encouragement.
Be prepared to spend some time digging through all of the content, it is quite overwhelming. Once you are through their amazing snapshots, then there are the potentially endless possibilities when you dive in to try different sound sources and effects. They did an amazing job with this one. Thanks so much for watching. 🎹Joyfully!
Thanks Boemi, it was a lot of fun exploring Symphonic Destruction, the sounds just reach down and pull things out of you, very expressive. I appreciate the kind words of support. Joyfully!

@@PraiseTracks yeah is a joy too, to find out all the possibilities of SD 🥳 and I am also currently discovering the new Soundpaint Plugin from 8Dio 😎I think something great is coming up🚀 all the best from Switzerland and a nice weekend 🤩
🤯 LOL, So glad you enjoyed watching, and yes this is a very powerful library that has a sound that comes from out of nowhere, Heavyocity did such an amazing job with this one. Thanks so much for the kind support. 🎹Joyfully!
This was awesome!! First video I see from you, very interesting and unique. And your voice and singing abilities really got me by surprise in the end (in a positive way 😀), absolutely fantastic!
Leandro, welcome to the channel. I just let things sort of happen while looking at the libraries, they each have something special locked inside that can result in creating some ver special moments. Thanks so much for the kind words.
@Simeon Amburgey - i never had an answer to this question by anyone who preview lib's ... if i load this into my kontakt 7 in FL21 im willing to bet the new purchased lisence to Heavyocity Symphonic Destruction that its not gonna sound like this! .. can you share any FX you have on output / signal channel ? ;D
Espen, I always make it a practice never to add any additional effects to any instrument library that I feature on the channel. I want you to hear the raw out of the box sound to make sure you are hearing it as it was intended. Sometimes during a playthrough I will add something like Blackhole, Shimmerverb, or experiment, but I will always point it out in the video. The only effects living on the output bus is Waves Playlist Rider and Waves WLM level meter to help me manage the master audio output. Thanks for watching, it is great to have you here. Joyfully!
@@PraiseTracks thank you for your reply! This lib sounds unbelievable out of the box in that case “ 3 hrs Til my day at work is over and this is going straight to my shopping casket ;))
Hi Simeon thanks for the great content! I'm a former touring musician and I'm trying to get a scoring portfolio together. I'm debating between buying Symphonic Destruction, Gravity, Damage 2 and Aeon...I know they're all different but if you had a gun pointed at you which Heavyocity would you pick for your wheelhouse. I have a lot of great libraries from Spitfire (Abbey Road, BBC collection, Bernard Herman, Olafur, Polaris, Hammers for drums by Charlie Clouser) Thanks!
So I would highly recommend Damage 2 as it is so unique in the way Heavyocity has presented these hard hitting (forgive the pun) sounds, imagine being able to play a dumpster! Symphonic Destruction also comes at the traditional orchestra with a different spin as only Heavyocity can bring. I say this all the time but developers have a sonic DNA, a signature, a fingerprint that is infused into the instruments they produce, it is that sound that can add that extra “something”. Thanks so much for watching along with the encouraging words, they are wind in my sails. Joyfully yours!
I have been seeing examples of this beautiful artform many times over the past few months and have been intrigued by the beauty that is represented. Thanks so much for watching and so glad you are enjoying the channel. 🎹Joyfully!
Glad you enjoyed watching. The program is called MIDICULOUS, you can find more info in the video description. It is a great learning tool with a lot of interesting features. 🎹Joyfully!
That is a great question. You would not be able to do something like this as it violates the terms of the license agreement. Here is a clip from the website: The usage of Heavyocity products (in particular samples, instruments and presets) for the creation of a sound library or as a sound library for any kind of synthesizer, virtual instrument, sample library, sample-based product or other musical instrument is strictly prohibited. Individual samples, sound sets or audio loops may not be distributed (commercially or otherwise) standalone. You can read the complete license agreement here: heavyocity.com/support/license-agreement/
@@PraiseTracks and that also includes me let’s say creating a score for a scary movie? Like a 30sec-2min “song” with a mixture of some of these sounds as well as other libraries?

Very true.
Symphonic Destruction is surely a performer's instrument as demonstrated here.
Your chords always blow my mind!! Heaven!!? 😊❤
At around 48:37 you went on an epic tear through that preset and it was the coolest thing I've heard you ever play in one of your videos.
