The answer is easy............Imperius, Imperius, ......and then Imperius again..........Just Imperius. The one true angel who defended the Diamond Gates when all the others ran...
I absolutely despise how blizzard has written every angel in the game into a lore dead-end or an absolute idiot, yet the prime and lesser evils never break, always planning and progressing. Izual corrupted and dead. Urzeal corrupted and dead. Maltheal corrupted and dead. Inarius is a crying idiot with no values and now dead. Tyrael is a depressed crying human and most likely an old man or dead. Imperius essentially removed from story line for being an idiot never to be seen again. The list goes on. This anti western modern mentality where the new trope is good is evil and what we view as evil is subjective is boring. All the prime and lesser evils are playing their part and wreaking havoc, yet we can’t have one decent angel stick to its values. At this point blizzard may aswell wipe out heaven and the Angiris council from Diablo and end the eternal conflict, just make it the nephalem left on sanctuary to beat the evils with the power of “friendship”
Agreed. Outside of Malthael, the other Archangels truly lacked presence. Inarius was intimidating in Diablo 4 but they wasted him. Hopefully with the less arcadey approach of Diablo 4 they'll make them more prominent figures if/when they appear
@@loatheburger I truly hope so also, I thought they would use Auriel in VoH, she is one of the few angels left and is the aspect of Hope, hope follows closely with the friendship idea blizzard is pushing and she is female, but no nothing. @@Kleftishonestly it seems to me like they want to milk the prominent figures in the series over the longterm. Who knows when we’ll see the other prime evils let alone an archangel
Anti-western? Are you on crack? If anything it's post-modern, which is quintessentially a western concept. Do you just overlay whatever reactionary politics you might have on every game you play?
Why are Angels always falling, but Demons are hardly EVER converted?? You cannot tell me Lilith and a handful of smaller demons are the only ones capable of rebellion?? It’s obvious that neither side is pure good or evil, but the writers have been firmly in camp evil since D2 and that’s just lazy.
I’d say because it’s far easier to fall into the temptation of sin than keep on the path of righteousness. I might be reading too much into it, but by definition sin is tempting and is the easier decision for most, evils greatest weapon is making itself appear more seductive than the opposition. Good or righteousness takes considerable amounts of discipline and strength to implement. Like my boy Harvey Dent once said, you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
@@kevincoleman2168You are comparing angels to humans. I think it is not right. When Blizzard started to name angels "wise, brave, justice etc" then they should stick to it. You cannot do "justice" as a bad guy. Same for Demons. You cannot do a Lord of Terror as a good guy. You have nephalems and humans as a mix of both good and bad. They should be vulnerable for corruption. If You are corrupting main virtues then You can also delete all angels from this game.
@ well, unlike most biblically accurate Angels, the Angels in the Diablo verse are absolutely corruptible and capable of sin. Inarius being a prime example of this with his lust for Lilith. Not to mention Malthael who literally became the Angel of Death and the main villain of the reaper of souls DLC. I personally believe that Diablo’s/Blizzards approach to angelic beings is for them to be more humane than what you’d come to expect. Whether we as a fanbase like or dislike that is up for debate, but it is how they’ve chosen to write those characters.
@kevincoleman2168 yup but it's do not have a sense. Why should there be angels if they are the same as humans? They are even weaker than nephalems... Blizzard had so many ways to make a good lore but they chose to "fight everything". D3 lore (also RoS) suck.
Hadriel exists, Tyrael himself confirms this in the Book of Tyrael, but he doesn't comment on Yaerius' existence. I hope he exists too. I'd really like to see him in one of the DLCs.
Aren't angels ressurected in the crystal arch when they die? Shouldn't he be back eventually? I mean, mfers like Diablo keep coming back no matter how many times they're killed so I assume the archangels would be the same?
@@loatheburger I have a question these days and i couldnt get the definitive answer. The protagonist of diablo 3, the nephalem, defeats diablo and malthael with a group of nephalem like diablo 2 or he did it alone? You mentioned the canon demon hunter and monk so i didnt understand
@@vinicius_games31 Unfortunately we do not know definitively, as typically for the previous games - the reveal of the canonical character(s) was called out in the next game. Diablo 4, however, fails to really mention any significant figures from Diablo 3 (outside of Lyndon and Lorath being present in the game). ITHERAEL could not see INARIUS's treason as Inarius used the WorldStone to cloud visions of his destiny when he stole it, so he cloaked himself from the gaze of destiny.
Wouldnt Itherael have been able to predict Inarius' desire to steal the worldstone and thus alerted the council to stop it from happening? I understand him clouding his fate AFTER he stole the worldstone, but the act of him stealing it in the first place should have been predicted and preventable
@@loatheburger No. The Worldstone is a parte of Anu, so it has powers beyond those of any archangel and also you have to take into consideration the Worldstone shielded Sanctuary from Heaven and Hell, even from ITHERAEL. Anu is equivalent to Tathamet. One good and one evil.
