@@giannama; For the Tian Family - 2000- there was/is a contract; as there is for several other Giant Pandas around the World. However there are Giant Pandas gifted to some countries too!! (Recently South Korea). So I wonder why the US, Europe (France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, formerly Austria ) formerly Canada… have to pay so much 💰 per year, per Giant Panda? After-all, all these countries’ Zoos are helping the Giant Panda population to thrive - not forgetting the Zoos also foot the bill taking care of the Giant Pandas housing, feeding, healthcare, research etc. We all love our Giant Panda Families!
Panda is China’s national animal and Pandas are endemic to China, they are a native Chinese animal basically. Besides, China has the world’s best sanctuaries and research centers catered to keeping Pandas from extinction. It’s their home afterall.
FOX 5; there is a plan to introduce Giant Pandas back into the wild, however this will not happen to Giant Pandas who lived and experienced life in Zoos or Research Centers (captivity) - There might be a program (study) in China for selected young Giant Pandas starting life in a semi-wild enclosure with the goal to release them into the wild.
We’ll miss the pandas 🐼 🐼 🐼 😭
China have so many pandas, even if they are rare, they could stay in their adopted country please?
No there is a contract
