Memphis Zoo abused Le Le to death and Ya Ya. There is a trust issue for whether US zoos can properly take care of pandas. It is for sure better for these giant pandas to retire back in homeland.
How were they abused?

丫丫/Ya Ya in just a few months back to China from Memphis Zoo, has totally transformed from a thin and sickly looking Giant Panda; to a clean & heavier, healthy looking Giant Panda (1:07 of the link video above).
The transformation is so great that one might think that they are two very different Giant Panda.

I watched them for departure from the airport. It really made me cry. Of course by the
agreement, they have to go back China, I feel so sorry for those so cute Pandas
family. They have no right to stay, and I wonder they arrived in safe by now. Thank you.

Smithsonian spends ONE MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR on the pandas.
Smithsonian should instead pass that money to organizations to get housing for all the homeless in DC.
