I’ve been watching and learning from ALL your videos. You are an amazing teacher and your cookies are amazing!! Thank you so much for every episode and I’ll be confident baking and decorating soon 😊
I just opened a new set of airbrush colors Friday night and as I'm staring at my still-stained fingers, I sure wish I would've seen this video sooner, lol! Thanks for the great tips and info you provide!
I'm so glad i came across a perfect channel ro start my cookie decorating journey! 💕 Since I'm from India, many people here do not eat eggs. Could you share an egg-free or vegan recipe for both the royal icing as well as the cookies. Thanks loads in advance ❤️
Cooking with Jonny says Hello 👋! Your video is truly amazing and shows your passion and devotion towards beautiful food. I am so lucky to see your work through your channel. Thank you for sharing! 🤗🤗🤗
Do you have a video on storing cookies? I’m brand new and don’t know if they need to be covered when you’re letting the icing harden, or how long they stay good before needing to be eaten/delivered? How many days ahead do you recommend baking and decorating before delivery? And how long does it take for royal icing to set up completely before bagging them? Just found your channel, I’m excited for all of the info!
Hello!! Welcome to the wonderful world of cookies 🥰 I don't have a video on how to store cookies but I'll give you all the info you need here 😁 The first important thing is when you ice your cookies, make sure you don't cover them while drying or they won't dry. I usually decorate mine in the evenings and then leave them on my counter overnight uncovered. Sometimes to speed up the process in between steps you can use a fan or a dehydrator if you have one! But make sure to leave them out at least 8 hours or so to be complete dry. I usually would bake on a Sunday/Monday and then decorate Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday if needed and package them up and take pictures on Friday for a party on Saturday. They can be left out the whole week without many issues! Once fully dry you can put them in airtight containers or bags. You can also freeze them, just make sure not to open the container before they're fully defrosted! At room temperature in a container I'd say about 2 weeks they stay fresh (even though I've had some way after that and they were fine) or freeze for a few months! Hope that helps and hoping one day I'll have a video on all of this!
What do you mean you’re not the most artistic person!! If I had 1/8 th of your talent I’d be so happy. I love watching what you create, however , when I try it on my own cookies the results are far from perfect. Yours always look great, you make it look so easy. I use your recipes and they are delicious, however, mine will never look like yours. Not even a close second, but the grandkids love them just the same.
Have you seen my drawings 🤣 the thing is I'm a visual person. I need to see things in order to create them. Some people are amazing at coming up with new ideas and designs, color schemes. Me... not so much. Whenever I am not given much direction it ends up a disaster. So I know you will be just as good if not better than me one day! All I have is practice under my belt and a lot of trial and error. So that's my goal of my channel is to save some people some time, tears and struggle 😁 and hopefully have everyone making amazing cookies real soon!! And if they can learn a thing or 2 from my trial and errors then that's all I hope for 🥰🥰 and you're grandkids are so lucky. And as long as the person getting the cookies is happy (which I'm sure they're ecstatic to have you cookies) you really can't ask for more!!
@@LittleCookieCo I really appreciate all your tips, I have learned so much from watching you. You inspire me every time. I know practice is what will make this work, in the meantime, no one is complaining about the goofy looking cookies. That’s the trick behind your good recipe…..everyone enjoys them regardless. Thanks for everything you do and all the great information you share.
I feel like we're really hard on ourselves so no matter what level we are there's always someone much better... and some levels I'll probably never reach no matter how hard I try! But as long as people enjoy them that's all I can ask for. And my family has never turned down one of my cookies 😁. I'm glad I can inspire people because baking is about bringing people together and making them smile and it doesn't have to be perfect. Always take pictures and look back every so often, sometimes you don't notice all the progress you've made until you look back to where you started!!
Love the gel colour trick - just a head’s up, it works great for Chef Master but not so much for Americolor. Those are the only two I’ve tried though so unsure about other brands!
Hi..great video...what's your cookie thickness? Some people say the cookie shows like a good presentation to be 10 mm thick...but I think thinner is better but I still struggle with that
To be honest I roll mine by feel so not sure exactly however thick they are. And some end up a bit thinner and others thicker. I try to roll them a but thicker than a quarter inch but less than 3/8 of an inch. I make it easy enough for me to hold and move the cookies around without touching the icing, if they're too thin then it's hard to do!
Yes with icing it could be a thick cookie but some people like that! And as long as you are charging enough if you're selling then it'd all good and thank you!!!
Hi. Maybe you can help me… every time l after I cream the butter with the sugar and starting add the eggs, my mix splits (butter is always a room temperature as well my eggs). Any advice?
I think it has to do with the fats in the butter and egg. If you whip it long and high enough it usually does come together but not necessary for this recipe!
The poking the hole in the lid is LIFE CHANGING…. Omgosh!
Right??!!!
You are so underrated, thanks for sharing, I really appreciate that you reply to questions in the comment section

It usually does normally but once you add the flour it should come back together.
@@LittleCookieCo yes, you are right. I just no understand “why” I suppose it’s a cookie mystery 🙈. Thanks for answer so fast!
