Saw a comment on here about watching Amber for a long time, and it had dawned on me just now that I’ve been watching your videos for (more or less) 8 years... time flies! You have such talent, and it’s amazing to see your growth! ♥️
I bought a projector many years ago and have used it many times. It works great but it's big and heavy to move to my baking area. I love this method much better! Many years ago when I transferred images to sheet cakes I would use piping gel on wax paper to trace the image then flip it over and press image on to cake following the design using a toothpick. It worked! I've been decorating cookies and cakes since my first Wilton cake decorating class in 1979. Still enjoy it😃
I have been hearing positive things about your skills. Glad to follow you and hopefully I will learn from such a professional. I love this video but I just get anxious when I see how perfect your cookies are and know how hard it is to match up to your skills
We all have to start somewhere! 😄I’ve been doing this for 13 years so don’t put pressure on yourself to make the cookies look like this right away. This post shows what my cookies looked like when I first started decorating compared to how they looked after a few years of practice: www.sweetambs.com/tutorial/i-was-a-beginner-once-and-im-still-learning/
great trick! I’ve never been great at writing on cookies with icing, can’t wait to give this trick a try! Do you by any chance know what font “birthday” was in? Or any similar fonts? I’ve been having trouble finding a good one. Great work as usual!
Your decorating is fantastic! On a side note, I love your voice. It's so relaxing. You did a quilted cookie tutorial on Craftsy and it's so soothing to watch.
No kidding about the consistency->> What I would like to know, how your flood icing is stiff enough not the flood away from the edges, yet you can make base, roses and leaves while it’s still wet. Mine would be dry after 2 roses or overflowing the edges.
How much meringue powder do use in your royal icing? It might help to increase it. This post has more tips ☺️ www.sweetambs.com/tutorial/valentines-day-decorated-sugar-cookies-wet-on-wet-royal-icing-roses/
@@Sweetambs Thank you. I usually buy ready royal icing mix or make my own, but never occurred to me to add more dried eggs to my mix. I will try next time, thank you 😍😊
I’ve had your cookie recipe for a fair while now and love making them but I was curious what I’d need to do to make chocolate sugar cookies? Do I just add cocoa powder?
Can you please share the proportions of how you achieved the light blue and dark blue , dark green and light green color? My wedding has that color blue!! Thanks!
I have trouble with the edible marker color soaking/bleeding into the piped letters. So often the letters I'm piping are white, and no matter what color marker I've tried, the white letters (doesn't matter what consistency I used) soak up some of the marker. I piped white letters onto blue cookies the other day, with black edible marker. The next day, the white had little patches of pink here and there on almost every cookie. Please help! (I made sure the marker was dry before piping.... I did 50 of them, so by the time I got to piping, the marker was well dried)
Nice job. What if you make a mistake with the lettering? I feel like it’s not possible to just wipe off. I feel like it would leave a stain. Any tips? Thank you
When letting the first coat of icing dry over night how do you store the cookies so they stay soft. I’m just starting out in baking and was scared the cookie would harden leaving it out over night lol
I had this same issue when I first started decorating cookies! Now I add agave syrup to my cookie dough to keep the cookies from drying out while the icing dries. My full recipe is available in my Ko-Fi shop ☺️ ko-fi.com/s/4a329bf7a7
Cut it so that the opening starts at the first thread of the coupler. Full instructions for prepping a bag are shown in Royal Icing 101 in my Cookie Art Club ☺️ Http://sweetambs.mn.co

Wow, that's cool. Both of you 😺
That’s the same with me except I started out since maybe 13 and I’m 21 now. My favorite cookie decorator by far, one of the reasons I’m a baker now 🤗

Well done! Thank you for the tips!
You’re welcome! ❤️
Omg you’re a dang genius!!!!
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
No puns today. This is too elegant. I kinda suspect the recipient is also pretty classy.
Yeah she is 😄
Wow, those cookies look great. They almost look too good to eat. 'Almost' lol. Stellar work.
Thanks ☺️
This will be interesting to try. I'm left handed so I hope I don't smudge it while moving forward.
You are an artist and an inspirer
Thank you 🥰
Great video! Very detailed and clear. I'm new to cookie decorating, will definitely try this! Thank you😀

Your work is incredibly beautiful, congratulations dear and thanks for sharing 😍❤️👏👏👏👏👏😘
Like always , Beautiful design ! Keep it up ❤
So pretty! Thank you for the tip!
THANK YOU SO MUCH ♥️👍🏼
I have been using a free app called Flowly for cookie lettering. Takes a little practice but works really well as an alternative for a projector.
Thanks I downloaded it but I don’t understand how to use it lol. Too old for this technology 😂

Very good 👍👍👍🥰🥰
Thank you!! 😄
Amber what second consistency do you use for borders
You are awesome! Thank you!
Thank you! You’re welcome ☺️
Hi do you add yhe lettering after the cookie icing has dried some or while its still wet?
Hello ! I would like to work with royal icing. Can you advice where to start, types and techniques?
Can you please share the proportions of how you achieved the light blue and dark blue , dark green and light green color? My wedding has that color blue!! Thanks!
So helpful
Just beautiful!
Thank you!! 💗
This is a very cool method, but in the last shot, you can see the pen marks. I wonder if there's a way to make these lines thinner - or more precise?
Thank you for all of your tips and tricks. I'm still trying to master that rose...mine always look like a blob. 🤦♀️

Hello 👋 how are you doing today
Great tutorial. Beautifully presented and paced. Thank you 🤩
Thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoyed it ☺️
The line at the top left of this video had me thinking that my screen was cracked! Lol.
How did you get rid of the smudges of ink that showed through?
Thank you! Wow!
Nice job. What if you make a mistake with the lettering? I feel like it’s not possible to just wipe off. I feel like it would leave a stain. Any tips? Thank you
It could leave a stain but you can try to wipe it off with a damp brush or damp paper towel ☺️

Hello 👋 how are you doing today
Wonderful
Love It!
You are amazing
Thank you! ❤️
How much of the tip do you cut off before putting it in the coupler?
Cut it so that the opening starts at the first thread of the coupler. Full instructions for prepping a bag are shown in Royal Icing 101 in my Cookie Art Club ☺️
Http://sweetambs.mn.co
Did you make the icing or was it already made?
I made the icing with meringue powder. You can learn more about it here ☺️ www.sweetambs.com/tutorial/royalicing/
Are you icing the back or the front of your cookies?
The front ☺️
Thanks for your amazing cookies and videos! Could you do a tutorial on how to make a doctor's lab coat, stethoscope and a graduation hat?
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
How long does one cookie take to decorate? 😮
These were about 10 minutes per cookie☺️
Muy hermosas💕😍
Thank you, Fabiola! 💗
Oh, good
Why you dont use in this case printer?
You could definitely use a printer if you have one. The point of this video is to show how to pipe lettering without using special equipment.
Bonne courage

Thanks Amber, but I was mostly watching your nails..😊😂

Has anyone tried this? I didn't have any luck, as the tissue paper tears.
