Hi Svenja. What a lovely couple. Your husband looks amazing in his cardigan. Your makes are beautiful. Share only what you want us to know. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Have a blessed day.
Very enjoyable podcasts Svenja! I've watched 2. I agree with other commenters to try blocking your champagne cardi before ripping out. You may find yourself very happy with it, even if it isn't bulky. There may be other times you want to wear just that level of warmth. Jonathan Day knit the Billie in Corrie Confetti, you might check his podcast out. Thanks for keeping me company while I knit!
Just don’t be fooled by the weight of the cardigan. Between the wool and alpaca I think it will be very warm. I think it will look elegant with blouses and dresses. The color is beautiful. All of your knits are extremely well knitted. I have watched all three episodes which I throughly enjoyed. Your husband looked adorable in his sweater. I’m a little jealous about your camping. Our last camping trip was in the middle of September. The camper is now put away. Looking forward to your next episode.
Hi Svenja, I knit the Champagne Cardigan last year using the same yarn Petite Knit ,its a heavy jacket like cardigan, I love it! II enjoy watching your podcast, looking forward to your next episode.
I loved catching up with you today and seeing all of your sweater progress. I have decided I need more basics in my wardrobe, and I appreciate all the suggestions you've provided with your lovely projects!
Another great podcast. You’re not the only one who frogs in the middle of projects. I do it all the time. I am a perfectionist, so if I don’t like it I rip it out and start over again.
Hey, Svenja! I have the same "problem" with starting projects, being fully committed and then ripping back or putting it in the corner when things aren't going exactly how I envisioned. Glad to know I'm not alone, though I know your pain! Thanks for the videos and sneaky footage of your husband's cardigan! I made a sweater for my husband for his birthday last. month, too, and it feels incredible when they wear their garments in the wild. :)
@@svenjaknits I made him the Drops Twilight sweater. It was a bottom up, dk weight sweater with seamed shoulders. The majority is stocking stitch in the round, but there’s a nice double moss detail on the chest and shoulders. Overall a really nice fit and pattern with some interesting construction.
Hi Svenja! Ohhh, your apple picking day looks like it was the perfect Fall outing! Your husband looks cozy and his cardigan turned out beautifully handsome :) We are going to an apple harvest fesitval next weekend too and Im trying to finish my Alpenglow so that I can embrace the day in one of my new handknits. I am pondering an idea for a cardigan and since you mentioned being on the fence about your Champagne Cardigan, I wanted to throw it out there... I love the shawl collar on Andrea Mowry's Big Cozy Cardi and I think adding that to a more fitted cardi would be gorgeous... and how snuggly would that be in the very cold months in Maine! Looking forward to seeing more of your knitting. Please dont feel the need to put more personal info than you are comfortable with. We already like you :)
Lovely podcast- again - glad you made a decision so quick to frog the ‘problem’ so it doesn’t linger and bother you lol - such a nice color combo with the light mohair- oh when you show a yarn it’s in mirror image- don’t know what other podcasters do - maybe there is a camera setting so we can read the labels correct. Only pointing it out in case it’s important to you - also share only what you’re truly comfortable with about personal stuff - looking forward to next time - happy knitting 🧶 ( I had a sad day when I tried to wind up an older skein of malabrigo yarn - the moths must have gotten into it 😢- I just threw the whole thing out I didn’t want to see how much I could salvage- your video cheered me up )
Oh no, I’m sorry to hear about the moths getting to your yarn 😔 glad to have cheered you up, though ❤️ Great point about the mirror image, that never even occurred to me! I think I can easily flip them next time. Thanks for pointing this out!
I am loving your color choices. Which will help me in making decisions also. Thank you! And I think your decision to frog the cardigan was a good idea. Love the yarn you have chosen to reknit the pattern with especially since it is an Aran weight. How lucky to attend a local craft show and find such beautiful yarn! Did your husband ask you if you had it planned? Lol -StitchedbyMimi
It sounds like you are disappointed in the Champagne Cardigan. The color is absolutely lovely. All of these potential issues make me terrified to try sweaters. Well, I’m not learning all of this to knit endless supplies of hats😂. And, my vision impairment makes me less likely to notice😂😂😂😂. Oh and that Apple picking outing sounds like fun. Wolfe pro is a magical town. Thank you for reminding me how amazing New England really is.💗💗
Love knitting while listening to your UA-cam! How is the itch factor with the Kelbourne tweed? I made a gorgeous scarf with another Kelbourne yarn .. only to find that it was really itchy. 😫 So glad you’re doing the cable sweater again!!!! Love the colors and can’t wait to see your progress! 😀❤️
I don’t find it very itchy although I haven’t worn it yet…this will hopefully be more of a layering piece so not planning to wear directly next to skin though.
I love the cabled cardigan and the yarn is gorgeous! Just wondering why the yarn labels look as though reflected in a mirror (backward). I don't know much about cameras etc.. so, just curious. 😃
Thanks for the update. Please only share personal stuff if you feel comfortable sharing. I think your podcast is great as it is.
Thank you Dorothy ❤️
Svenja! Have been loving your podcast and your beautiful knits ☺️💕
You are too sweet!!! I’m so happy you’re watching!!
Loved your podcast! Wolfeboro is beautiful, about 35 minutes from me!!

Thank you so much, you are too kind!!

Good point about the warmth! Thank you for your kind words. It’s always a bit sad to have to put away the camper for the last time!

Good to know! I do think I’ll reknit with the intention to make it like a jacket. Thanks so much!
Another lovely podcast. Loving what you’re making. As someone else has said - only share what you’re comfortable with xx
Thank you Louise!! Happy you are here!

Yay! That makes me happy you’ve found some inspiration ❤️

Hi!! Yes it does feel better when we know others share our knitting nuances! What pattern did you knit your hubby?

He wouldn’t be surprised if I had that planned out in advance 😉

Haha, well I certainly don’t mean to scare you 😆 sweater knitting is so fun, but with my picky personality can be a challenge sometimes!!
