We appreciate you watching and thanks for Subscribing to Fresh Vintage Garage ☺️ Definitely understand where you're coming from, but you would almost inevitably pay more per click or more per car (as an example like $10 or more per car...) versus the unlimited subscription of $299 per year.
@@Holt0216 Mitchell1 DIY eautorepair is the best bang for the buck when it comes to personal vehicles. There are a few advantages that the Pro service offers over the DIY service, but the DIY covers most of what anyone would need for general DIY. You can get a 4yr subscription for 1 vehicle for $60. That’s almost free when you break it down to monthly cost. You could get a 4yr subscription for 5 different vehicles for what Truefix costs for one year. Of course Truefix is unlimited vehicles, so it just depends on each persons needs. Alldata has a DIY service as well, but last I looked it cost a LITTLE bit more and I never cared for their website format on my phone. That’s probably just because I was use to Mitchell though. All three services beat the hell out of scouring Google and forums though! No telling how much time I wasted searching for schematics and torque values before these online services came about.
Hello thanks for watching! Sorry "how about diesels?" is a pretty vague question; what all information are you looking for regarding diesels in the TrueFix software? Thanks so much.
@@FreshVintageGarage I'm a diesel mechanic for an international truck dealership and was wondering if the software includes like Cummins, Duramax, power stroke ECT. Thank you for watching and subscribing to our channel! While I very much appreciate and understand where you're coming from here, the repair information itself is the intellectual property of each OEM car manufacturer, so getting that data for free to the general public is basically impossible 👍
Missing labor data, shows this tool is targeted for DIY and maybe small business repairs. A shop will need labor data to accurately quote customers on repairs.
They will not put labor time in the software because this is for the DIY person. Or fabricators. Any mechanic will have an employer that will provide. I am willing to bet 98 percent of the comments are not business owners which your business rides on the balance of insurance warranty and ownership. If something goes wrong you can go back to a software manufacturer and request compensation for bad data. Thus they charge more. Harbor freight will need to charge more and will not switch people from the baseline software out there and will loose the folks in the comments because of the higer cost
The ICON Team confirmed they are working on this now, but no ETA as of yet (we here at FVG assume it has something to do with Toyota not wanting to work with Harbor Freight on this...
I'm sorry I had to stop this video at 8 minutes, got board. Maybe it's because I'm not a do-it-yourselfer and I work in a shop. But I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary it looks like identifix or prodemand or alldata. It would have been nice to see some comparison. Like what are you getting for this versus that.
I wouldn’t buy any scan tool that doesn’t use the original software. So I would only buy Launch or Autel who own the software. If you buy one of these brands that just use their software, they gonna shut you down like they did recently. It’s better to buy the software companies boxes you get way better quality.
U know what that means when they say to stick around to the very end of the video. When they say that, i just stop right there and watch something else.
Just to be safe you should delete the UA-cam app off your phone so you never have to hear someone say stick around to the very end of the video 👍 But in all seriousness thanks for watching we really appreciate it ☺️
Thanks for watching - I'm very much aware of the current version/generation of Android. We mentioned the Android 10 being newer as some of the cheaper scan tools are still running Android 7 right now (these are scan tools available for purchase on Amazon as I type this), so Android 10 is newer by comparison 👍
Pretty much every scan tool on the market runs android 10 or less, so it's pretty clear that you don't use a scan tool, but still feel the need to comment on something you know nothing about.
This just shows its not made for professionals. If it was, it would have labor times, and it wouldn't list typical tools as special tools. The only people those tools are special to is home hobbyist.
Your comment shows that you aren’t a professional. This is OEM data. HF doesn’t consider these to be “special” tools, the manufacturer of the automobile does. Typically “special tool” refers to tools that the technician isn’t expected to go out and buy on their own. It will be tools that the dealership purchases and has available for any technician in the shop to use.
@athhud a special tool has nothing to do with what a tech is exoected to buy. Manufacturers dont get to specify what a special tool is; that is predefined by the industry. A special tool is a tool designed and crated for only a specific vehicle or motor. Fucking battery chargers/testers, multimeters, vacuum gauges, and some of that other bs they showed ARE NOT special tools. See below.... Special tool means a finished or unfinished device such as a die, jig, fixture, mold, pattern, special gauge, or similar device, that is used, or is being prepared for use, to manufacture a product and that cannot be used to manufacture another product without substantial modification of the device. The length of the economic life of the product manufactured shall not be considered in making a determination whether a device used to manufacture that product is a special tool.
Lol! Alldata services are $200/month or more depending on which service you choose. Last I checked $200/ month is a lot more than the $25/month that Truefix will cost.
I think you're missing the point of the video Is it talking about the true fix websites to provides vehicle manufacturers' diagnostic and repair information just like alldata, identifix, mitchell and many others like it.
Hi Gary - thanks for watching we always appreciate it. To confirm we spend quite a bit of time learning how to use these tools, and in fact many of the features and functions that they are capable of we cannot show you as we do not have the exact nuanced broken vehicle that needs repaired, that needs bi-directional control work, that needs ECU coding, that needs CAN based diagnostic work, that may need an electronic parking brake service, that may have a crankshaft sensor or cam sensor that needs re-learned, so on... simply put your request is unreasonable as we could run through 100+ different cars of all years, makes and models to show every possible capability. I wish you could pay per scan or per vehicle so individuals could purchase one
We appreciate you watching and thanks for Subscribing to Fresh Vintage Garage ☺️
Definitely understand where you're coming from, but you would almost inevitably pay more per click or more per car (as an example like $10 or more per car...) versus the unlimited subscription of $299 per year.
@@FreshVintageGarage I’m not a mechanic, I would just like one to diagnose my own cars (3-4 vehicles)

How about diesels ?
Hello thanks for watching! Sorry "how about diesels?" is a pretty vague question; what all information are you looking for regarding diesels in the TrueFix software? Thanks so much.
@@FreshVintageGarage I'm a diesel mechanic for an international truck dealership and was wondering if the software includes like Cummins, Duramax, power stroke ECT. We have software provided by the dealer , but for the average guy or gal who buys a gm, Ford , or dodge is this going to help them or a waste of money ?
This information should be free from the manufacturer. Cost for tools shure, but repair documentation no.
You are correct this is targeted mainly to DIY customers. Thanks for watching and Subscribing to our channel we do appreciate it!!
Too bad TrueFix doesn't support Toyota or Lexus models.
Yeah no idea on that part either 🤷♂️ Thanks for watching and Subscribing to Fresh Vintage Garage we do appreciate it 😊
The ICON Team confirmed they are working on this now, but no ETA as of yet (we here at FVG assume it has something to do with Toyota not wanting to work with Harbor Freight on this...
More than half of what snap-on is charging
I wouldn’t buy any scan tool that doesn’t use the original software. So I would only buy Launch or Autel who own the software. If you buy one of these brands that just use their software, they gonna shut you down like they did recently. It’s better to buy the software companies boxes you get way better quality.
Hi Ted - thanks for watching! Feel free to expand on this and explain what you mean, as we've not heard of this before...
There are more Toyotas on the road than any other car, not to be included, no good.
Yeah we are scratching our heads on this one too 🤔 thank you for Subscribing to our channel too!
Definitely a hard pass.
Should include labor
Thanks for letting us know! We are going to gather all of these comments and send them over to Harbor Freight 👍
Won't buy without labor times
U know what that means when they say to stick around to the very end of the video. When they say that, i just stop right there and watch something else.
Just to be safe you should delete the UA-cam app off your phone so you never have to hear someone say stick around to the very end of the video 👍
But in all seriousness thanks for watching we really appreciate it ☺️
Need labor time.
Android 10 is very outdated
Thanks for watching - I'm very much aware of the current version/generation of Android.
We mentioned the Android 10 being newer as some of the cheaper scan tools are still running Android 7 right now (these are scan tools available for purchase on Amazon as I type this), so Android 10 is newer by comparison 👍
Pretty much every scan tool on the market runs android 10 or less, so it's pretty clear that you don't use a scan tool, but still feel the need to comment on something you know nothing about.
The reality is a scan tool is only a means of communicating with a vehicle. Codes and part numbers are not the same thing.
Quite flipping so fast. Give us a break!
We will make you a deal - you buy the TrueFix software subscription yourself and then you can click through however fast or slow you would like 😊
This just shows its not made for professionals.
Book time is just a guide that doesn't include rust, stripped threads, broken connectors cause by heat stress, etc
Preach it! You are very right, and growing up up north there needs to be an additional addition of time for rust absolutely 💯
@donnied6759 service manuals are just guides too, doesn't mean they're not useful.
299 is crazy 😂😂😂😂alldata cheaper
Lol! Alldata services are $200/month or more depending on which service you choose. Last I checked $200/ month is a lot more than the $25/month that Truefix will cost.
Thank you for watching and clarifying here! ☺️ I have not looked up AllData but something tells me it is definitely not cheaper than $299 a year 😂
Alldata is $2400 per year, this is only $299
There should be an iq test to use the internet
@@Volksoner619 I don’t pay for alldata sooooooooo
waste of time watching your reviews of the scan tools and software. You aren't showing their capabilities. Get to know the tool then review it!!!!!
But we appreciate you watching! Feel free to subscribe so you can watch more of our videos and complain about them too we really appreciate it ☺️
Thanks you get it 👍👊
Thank you for watching - we met the Harbor Freight team at SEMA and asked about the T10, T8 and upcoming T7 and they said yes and sent them out to us.
@@SHSPVR I called Harbor Freight help line and was told TrueFix is connected to identifix. They are one in the same. They have a parent company that gives all the info called Motor (something).
