- There's a handful of Nintendo stuff I've NEVER* owned that may shock you since may you think "Oh, EVERYONE has THAT in their collections!" Let me know what Nintendo related items you've never owned that most people think are staples in a collection.
*In this case I'm also applying "never" to a specific amount of time where someone would reasonably expect I would have owned a specific item in the past given my hardcore collector roots!

I love the wave bird I remember playing twilight princess for 80 hours on the same batteries.
Amiibo doesn't surprise me. I caught the bug, and it was a wild time toward the beginning in particular! I remember tracking release times on various sites when pre-orders went live...what a time that was! Tbh, you saved yourself headaches on that one.
The Wavebird does surprise me a bit though. The wireless functionality was super nice when you were hanging with friends and didn't have to worry about tangles or someone yanking the GameCube off the stand it was on by accident. If you never needed it though, that makes sense. I think it's worth it for the novelty alone!

I only have the Amiibo that came with the Twilight Princess Wii U remaster and only because it came with that version of the game. Never had any of the wireless controllers until they came standard with the consoles, so PS3. Even now I just use cable extension chords for my retro consoles.
Super scope is a must own Pete! 2 reasons…..1. Battle Clash 2. Metal Combat: Falcon’s Revenge 2 mech combat games that are totally underrated gems for the SNES. The music and graphics are great and there are multiple endings and unlockable mech suits as well!

My friend had wavebirds. I remember a moment when they took it into the bathroom, and I would watch the TV and yell to them telling them what directions to go.
I was never really interested in them, because the standard controller was too big for me... I loved the Madcatz MicroCon ones, they fit my hands so much better. I had a bunch in various really nice transparent / clear-metallic colors because they were so cheap. I liked having orange and teal when the official orange and teal ones were very hard to find.
I loved the link cables. Between my brother and I we always spent the time to trade each other the other 2 starters whenever a new Pokémon game was released. It felt like it took forever as a kid but it was worth it.
Agree with you regarding future Nintendo Classic consoles - I feel like we can play NES/SNES games in so many ways on various other Nintendo consoles, but an N64 or GC console would be super cool.
The wave bird is cool. Had one growing up, think I still have it somewhere. Most reliable controller ever. It’s not that different in terms of ergonomics honestly, if you have big hands you might like a little more but it’s a subtle thing. It’s just the most well built, ahead of its time controller ever.

amiiNO sounds exactly like "a mi no" in spansh, which means not me or not for me lol. idk if you did that on purpose, but it was genious. Anyway, I personally never got into Amiibo or any extra collectible. I barely have enough disposable money to buy games, so that stuff always went over my head. Nice vid keep it up.

Wavebird's are definitely an interesting novelty, and technically work better than ever nowadays because the radio channels are less populated, the Super Scope though? Admittedly cool, but the library doesn't back it up.
SS6 was a lot of fun back when. Never tried a 3rd party game for it, but for a good price I recommend it.

My first gameboy was the pocket as well. I never got too into Amiibo either. They just didn't have enough functionality and there are much cooler action figures out there.
I, too, never owned a Wavebird. Probably an unpopular opinion here but I always noticed a slight delay with it when I played with one.

I have about 20 Amibos boxed. They do take up so much room , but I can't bare to open them or get rid of them.
The wave bird was so (still is) ahead of it’s time. It was so rare and different to see a first party wireless controller.

I never willingly bought an Amiibo either. I only have 1 because it came with Twilight Princess on Wii U. I still never had the original game boy either, the GB Pocket was my first one too.
I was in the middle of building a castle and dropped everything once I saw you uploaded a new video!
Maybe if Amiibos came out 5-10 years earlier Pete would be all over it :)

About a year ago I went to a pawn shop that had two wavebird controllers for 10 a piece ( one of each us color variants) I paid about $50-60 a piece for the adapter. If you can find them complete for a decent price it's worth it but you aren't missing out on much

Totally understandable. Every gamer is different as well as each game collection. A solid week of videos. I don't want to be that guy but would love a new game room tour.

I don't have an amibo, original gameboy, wavebird controller, super scope, ereader cards either. I don't really have a desire to own them anyway unless I come across a super great deal. I do have a NES classic, SNES classic and link cables for the gameboy which I used for the gameboy pocket. Things that I don't own are a nintendo gamecube because I use my wii for those games. I don't own Yoshi's island on SNES, a Nintendo Switch, a Nintendo 3ds, Contra NES, Final Fantasy 1, Secret of mana, Super metroid, Fzero, FF2, FF3.
Hopefully these daily uploads will lead to an updated game room tour!

One of things I'm surprised I've never owned is also one of the classics consoles from Nintendo. Just too many hacked systems with emulators for me to bother
Same here Pete ! Never owned a Game Boy, I don't like handhelds generally, but I have a Game Boy Player for Gamecube with some of my favorite GB games to enjoy on full screen (with a Wavebird !!)
Never owned a mini console, I have the real deals (except the PCE) so I don't think I'll be ever interested in one of those, I'm not the market target
And I Never got into amiibo craze (although I really love to have the 3 unique Yoshi ones, my favorite character)
Also Never used a Link cable on any console !
And Pete, Wavebirds are aight, but they don’t have rumble! So I prefer my wired indigo GC controller 👌🏼

I don't have a DS Lite, despite owning 8 DS and 3DSs. That's pretty funny considering it's easily the most common DS.
I've wanted a Virtual Boy forever but just never been able to justify it, especially when games are so hard to find for it anyway that are not Marios Tennis. I heard there's an everdrive for that sort of thing now though. I played it only once and even I was not immune to immediate eye strain.
Probably my last big one: never owned a single Pokemon game. I wasn't allowed to play them as a kid, and the games never dropped in price. I guess I just don't like them either.

I remember my folks got the wavebird a year or so after getting the GameCube (for reference we got the 2003 Zelda bundle that Christmas). I do recall the wavebird being a big deal at the time as I remember seeing a little sketch in between shows on Nick GAS talking about its wireless capabilities (though I had initially thought it was called "waveberg"). But for us, the big reason we got it wasn't it being wireless, we just wanted a way to play Smash Bros. Melee multiplayer, as we could only play single player before that. I still have my wavebird, but unfortunately that and my original GCN controller are utterly disgusting now as the analog got all yellow and gross due to sweat and dust. I tried cleaning it but at this point I think I'd just need to get them flat out replaced. If I play GameCube on the original hardware, I always opt for the Smash for Wii U GCN controller.
I only played Nintendo's handhelds so I don't actually have any of their home consoles until the Switch. I have a few Wii games but never really invested in them.
Do you need a CRT with the super scope?
It came with a sensor that you put above or below the tv. Similar to the wii.
Never bought an amiibo and same for the mini consoles as I have everdrives didn't really make sense

I never owned a Virtual Boy. I would like to get one if I find a good deal on it. Just to say I have all Nintendo systems.
I also never owned a Wavebird and an OG Game Boy. I played a Game Boy but never had one for my own. I was a Game Gear loyalist and often trashed talked the GB for being b&w and laugh at it, etc. But in the end, the GB had more classics and I missed out on lots of Nintendo exclusives. But eventually, we got the GB Pocket and I was able to catch on them.
I have a pretty sizeable collection, but there are lots of Nintendo items that surprise folks that I don't have. The big one is that I have more than 600 NES games, but no Mega Man games. I'm just not a fan. I've also never owned a Wavebird. I dislike GC controllers in general. I've also never done the mini consoles- I have most of the games already. I never owned a Game & Watch device, either. They look neat, and I played them as a kid at friends' places, but I know I'd never play them. I never owned a Super Game Boy, either. I didn't have Game Boy games when it was new, and I went Gamecube GB Player instead later.

I watch every show - I had 30 ammiibo when they first came out even the animal crossing worth 100$ I sold them all and never came back
I miss walking around thrift stores as a kid & all the gameboys they had marked down for super cheap bc they didnt have the battery flap. 😅 they probably got thrown in the trash.😢
A lot of the thrift stores in my area had been bought out by for-profit thrift stores & they focus a lot on constantly rotating stock.
I have three wave birds but I never use them because they don’t have rumble. No rumble is not the end of the world but I would prefer to have it over wireless.

Back when the GCN was relevant I never heard of the wave bird. I’ve never seen one in a store and didn’t know anyone who had it. By the time I found out I didn’t care to get one because they were a bit pricey and also they don’t have rumble which is lame to me. So yeah honestly as a huge GCN fan I don’t give a shit about it.

ok so the things (not just related to nintendo) but related to gaming i never owned was
1. Sega 32X (While i Really Want a SEGA CD so Bad, The Sega 32X I Used to Hate Because i Thought it Ruined SEGA as a Hardware Maker, However as i Got Older i Warmed up to the 32X because The 32X Has the Best and Only Ports of Model 1 Games That you Could Have in the 90s)
2. Wii U (Never Wanted a Wii U and Never Will Because The 3rd Party Games are Trash (Unless You Like Kiddy Teen Titans Go Style Reboots of Pacman and Sonic and Mobile and Indie Game Ports) and Even the Nintendo Games on There are Mediocre (Feeling More like Hasbro Games Rather than Nintendo Games)
3. Arcade 1UP (Dont Get me Wrong its a Good Concept for Preservation Purposes or Getting Kids into Arcades (Thats if Your American), Some of these Cabinets are Very Rare in Canada, and Cost Anywhere Between 400-800 CDN Depending if there are Import Charges or Scalpers Trying to Ruin it, If i Want to Play Arcade Games at Home Legally and Play them With Friends i Would Just Buy a CBOX Supergun and its JVS Adapter With Some Donor Arcade PCBs off Ebay, Yahoo Auctions Japan and Other Sellers) and Then Get a Japanese Sega Virtua Stick to Play it with
4. 3DS (Again Like the Wii U The Games on it are Mediocre and Kiddy Compared to the Teen Oriented Anime Games of the Original DS, Plus You Cant Get Flipnote on it Anymore the "REAL" Flipnote)
5. Any XBOX Console (Theres No Good Games, The Interface Looks Ugly (Especially without the Ability to Use Windowblinds), The Controllers are the Most Uncomfortable and Slippery Things i Ever Felt and if i Really Wanted to Play FPS Games or Indie Games or Use Windows Applications i Would Just Play it on My PC)
Bonus Content: Any Call of Duty Game or Similar Games (The Heavy Post 9/11 Plot of these Games Creeps Me Out and the Multiplayer is Mediocre (Thats if You Get Past the Constant Squeakers and Flame Wars) if i Wanted to Play an FPS Game Competitively i Would Not Play a Creepy Slow Paced Game with Pea Shooters, i Would instead Play Boomer Shooters with tons of Fast Paced Gameplay, Puzzles, Hidden Areas, Monsters that Arent Racist at the Slightest and Rocket Launchers that Arent ripped from GTA 3 (Especially if They Have Online Function)

Pete the uploads don’t have to be daily, many would be happy with once a week. Most of all, we are wary of another sudden departure
34yrs old.... i never owned a NES. never seen a virtual boy in person. never beat a zelda game. yet im 99% nintendo all my life. my name was just made up in 30seconds cus i couldnt think of anything at the time, im not a sega and never owned a single sega item until i got a genesis mini in 2019
the n64 controller is my favorite controller of all time and im not just saying that to be "that guy" in the comments.
