This is an amazing account of my Mum's place of birth. She was born in 1918. Her Mum Dad Sister and Uncle all died approximately in the 1930's from TB outbreak when my Mum was 11years old. I started to look into her history and then Covid hit! You have reignited the flame to continue with the search. I thank you very much. I've just published my autobiography and now I am going to continue with my Mother and Father's. Thank you again. Mary

The oldest iron bridge in England was built by Thomas Telford 1777. The iron bridge Telford, Shropshire, England. Still being used today.

I enjoyed your film very much. There are some other interesting things about the town as well. We have the oldest surviving coachworks in the country which is the old Salmon's Coachworks on Tickford Street latterly owned by Aston Martin and now being developed for residential use (I think). Aston Martin are making the James Bond Facsimile DB5 in their works in Newport which I think sells at around £3 million. We have the only parchment factory in the country, William Cowley, which supplied parchment for Parliament, not sure if they still do. John Bunyan served as part of the town's garrison during the Civil War. If you are very patient and lucky, you may see a Kingfisher on the river Ouzel. I've lived here 32 years and I've seen one twice!!!

Hi Richard, glad to hear that you liked my film, and thanks a lot to share marvelous history what I have left due to time restrictions. I made footage of Aston Martin and few other historical spots but unfortunately did not make those a part of film due to film length. Later someone advised me make a 2nd part of the film. Which is good idea actually.
Once again would like to say thank you very much for your informative comment and really appreciate that you like my effort. I have an other idea about capture all haunted places in the Newport Pagnell as I have been told this town is on the top of list due to its spooky and huanted places around in the England. I have got Julie wilson's book in hand and reading about the stories. May be start making film on that stories.
