Pentel Energel is the best for me! Very smooth~
Indeed, I inserted the refill into a luxury rollerball pen & it generally feels and LOOKS like rollerball ink on paper!
My daughter is a left hand and the energel pen is the best for her. The ink dries fast and doesn't smear ☺
Try the pilot acroball. It is a hybrid gel type pen.
Zebra Sarasa dry is good for lefties too
i’m surprised no one suggest the zebra sarasa 0.5 that’s my favorite😊
Same to me
For me tooo
Same, since I’m a low gripper
You need the Pentel Energel but the alloy version
The Alloy, Energel RTX and the Energel X all have the same refill.
@@karenpappas8546 but the experience of writing with the alloy pen, is beyond belief! Whatever color you like, sturdy, weighted nicely in the hand, balanced, a real banger of a pen! I love the silver one I’ve had for about eight years, even with a few dings or dents on it, it’s almost like a patina of use, which is appealing to me.
I just picked up a pack of Pentel Ener-gel KURO pens. 0.7 mm point. Haven't used them yet, but looking forward to.
How were they?
I refuse to write with anything other than a uniball signo in blue (unless required to use pencil for school). I actually took one of my uniball ink cartages and put it in a nice looking enclosure. I used to use a pilot G2 because it was so smooth, but I found the ink would smear when I wrote fast, so I switched to the signo because it was the same smoothness without the smearing.
UNI-BALL JETSTREAM!!!!
Pentel Energel 0.5 refills in a G2 Limited body is what I prefer. Purrrr-fect.
the best pens i've found are the uniball signo and pilot hi tec c. for me they make my handwriting easier to make legible
I like fine tip pens the best, though not as easy to find in the US. I used to use the Pilot G2, but currently love the Uni-Jetstream .38, Uniball Signo DX or RT in .28, and the Zebra Sarasa Clip in .3. All I have to get from Japanese vendors.
1) pentel
2) uniball
3) pilot
the sharpie ones come in pastel colors as well so cute
If I was a colored pen person, I'd be all over them lol
Pilot G2 is my fav. I like how smooth it is when writing.
Very smooth!
dyu reccomend it? cause i want to buy
Uni ball signo and pilot G2 and pentel energel are my choices of pen
Hi Nikhil...which pen is good for writing long hours in ball?
Energel Alloy best pen in lot
Energel Philography, uni Jetstream
The staedtler, sharpie pen's are my fav. I love the papermate fine tip markers...
I'll have to check out the papermate fine tips, thank you :)
One note here: the inkjoy is a ball point and I think the others ( g2, energel, signo I know for sure) are roller ball. Different ink, different tip type. So slightly apples and oranges but eh
Ive had most of these brands and I love Pentel the most. The others are good too but not as smooth.I dont like the Pentel bodies as much though.A bit thick and long so i put their refills in the Uniball 207 body.Works great. The papermate pens are very nice except they fall apart all by themselves so i wont buy them again
You should use Uniball Signo with Energel Refill. That's like the best of both worlds. (Uniball's design and Pentel's Smooth writing)
That's what i do.i have the Uniball 207 body with Pentel refills.I prefer the thinner body
Great content.
Few things, which may help you increase popularity further.
1. At the end of the video, a comparative chart with qualities in rows and pens in columns and assessments in cells would've been awesome.
2. Leverage UA-cam Chapters
3. Research on keywords associated with this and lace the description with the same.
4. Cross reference this with similar keywords from other sites such as linkedin (SEOs really well), twitter, instagram, facebook, and other similar sites.
5. Make a UA-cam short on this and post a link to this video on there.
Personally, I enjoy Sarasa and the pilot metropolitan
Pilot g-2 is great and I have the smallest point then I dropped it and it skipped and became blotchy so sad 😭😢😢 and I wasn't even halfway the barrel
Did you try soaking in hot water?
I totally understand the feeling xD, post your address I'll send you a 12 piece box of them.
I am a G2 user (been for years). If I get a deal, I may try the ink joys. Having a left handed child, I would like to see which one dries quickest and smears the least.
I'm left handed and smearing is my biggest problem! I'm about to start planning (in October) and I'm trying to research which pen will work best for me.
darcydesigns do papermate ink joy gel pen it drys so fast!!! I love it so much!
The energel is best for left hand dries fast and no smears.
darcydesigns : Sarasa Dry Pens dries extremely quick.
If you don't mind ordering online, #JetPens @JetPens is a fabulous company.
The pentel energel dries quickly so it should do fine for left handed writers.
Got all of them except for the Sharpie and Papermate. All great for my illustration needs :) Nice happy voice you got btw :) Thanks for the cool review!
I have also tried every pen available. My favorite by far is the Pilot Dr Grip.
I've used the uniball signo 207's, pentel energel's and Inkjoy 1.0mm before. I wish I had discovered the first two in college. Inkjoy is better than bic for sure but still lots of resistance. Never tried the Pilot yet but will sometime. I've tried their frixon but not the G2. Signo and energel are pretty close but I favor the Energel at the moment. Not a big fan of the new Sharpie s gel's but I have a .5 which I always dislike I prefer .7mm ( even to 1.0mm I prefer .7mm)
Papermate profile is great to
I used to use the pilot G2 pens but I didn't like that they smeared so I switched to Uni Ball Signo 207 and I fell in love; they write so smoothly and they don't skip at all like the G2 pens did. Also the Pentel Click and go pens are pretty great especially when it comes to grip wise.
Have you tried the new 307?
pilot acroball is the best pen i 've ever used ..
For me, the best would have to be Sakura Pigma Micron (not included in your review). It's almost the same as the Staedtler Pigment but Sakura's doesn't bleed through the pages and is waterproof.
My next fave would be PaperMate Inkjoy Gel Pen (again, not included in your review ☺). They come in 0.5mm and 0.7mm tips
Then, Pentel EnerGel which come in 0.5mm and 0.7mm tips as well (refillable inks)
Pilot G2 is my top 4 which has 0.5mm, 0.7mm, and 1.0mm tips (refillable also).
Nice review! 👍👍👍
The best part about having a G2 is using one the whole school year and almost building a relationship with it you know
Yes they last a long time!
I can finish at least 2 maybe 4 in a school year! They don't last long at all for me...
bruh they last like a month or two tops doing paperwork, but ayyy I didn't take notes in school either 😂
Did you find that the Sharpie bleeds through the paper? I found slight bleed through even on the MAMBI paper, maybe I press too hard.
I haven't used the sharpies on The Happy Planner just yet. But I do tend to use a light hand when writing.
I use the black Sharpie pens in my Happy Planner, and I haven't had a bleed or smearing issue.
J Ware that's a lie if you have thin paper it will bleed through terribly (not ghosting) sharpie pens are just a finer point so it does bleed it happens to me all the time
Love it!!! Ty so much for your review. Again, very helpful!!!!
You're welcome!
I bought the uni-ball signo 207 a month ago. Only thing I don't like is it skips. I love that the ink is waterproof.
@star star yeah I got the 307 0.7mm this week. I really like it. The ink seems darker and doesn't skip.
tfs. im an instant gratification person too. i don't like to order online
Me either, dont know how people do it all the time lol
Unless, of course, it's only available online ;)
Pentel energel is my type of pen-
G2 or V5 RT? Which one do you prefer?
For my go to pens:
Gel pens: Uniball Signo RT 0.38 mm or Pilot Juice Up 0.3 mm
Roller ball: Morning Glory Mach 3, 0.38 mm
Ballpoint: Pilot Acroball 0.5 mm or Zebra Surari 0.5 mm (although it's hybrid ink), Uni Jetstream 0.5 mm.
I love the Papermate Inkjoy that you reviewed here but am currently loving the Inkjoy in the gel version 😍
Yes I'm really enjoying the Papermate pens :)
G2 is the best seller is North American.200 million a year.it is the king of the pen.G2 and uni 207 are gel pen,,all very popular in U,S. sharpie and staedler are prous pen ,nelon tip. ink joy is ball gel pen with viscosity ink. pentel enegy is waterbase ink. they are different type pen.
mistake ,ink joy is ball gel pen with low viscosity ink :)
健哲谢 you could have just edited your original comment
wrong fnhorse look at the date that was posted (almost 2 years ago) comments couldn't be edited almost 2 years ago
@@audreyuwu4872,
For once someone on UA-cam I would like to meet in person. That way we could wager and you would be able to pay up. Yes you could edit on UA-cam 2 years ago.
I Love the pilot
Now are there any long-term tests to see how different ones write when almost empty? Some may dry out prematurely or become prone to clogging/skipping before the ink tube completely empties. I think that may be the test that would break some of them, vs. comparing them all fresh out of the package.
I’ve had Pilot G2 pens in my house all my life because they are my dad’s favorite pens and yes they clog and skip a lot. Sometimes they completely stop working for a bit and then it writes perfectly again.
G2 all the way for everything. Uniballs are too delicate waste of money. All the others are the same not tough enough. I also did lots of experimentation with pens and the G2 is the best. It's tough, writes smooth and will write on almost anything.
I just got the Papermate Inkjoy 700rt and I absolutely love it. Gonna try the staedler 0.7 next.
Great review. Thank You.
G-2 finer variant (below 0.7) is bad it is scratchy ( Pilot Hi tec c is better if you wanna get thin line) and the weakness of G2 is that they need to be pressed little harder. the best in my arsenal is Uniball signo 307 micro it is 0,5 not so big or thin but god, it is smooth really need little presure to make it usable. I accustomed to using pen with very little pressure or even nothing because I use fountain pen alot, so when I need to use regular pen the pressure it needs to flow is important for me and Uni Signo 307 is awesome in that category
Hey do you know what the pens are and the tips are like markers kinda my friend has one and I've been bugging him about which pen it was but he told me it was a uniball roller pen? I ent shopping for one but could only find a needle pen he says they are really good for pictures and the ink is thick which makes its stand out more, but not thick enough to ruin words.Sorry for the essay!
do you know pentel "plaman tradio"? it is a great plastic fountain pen. so you should try.
I love pentel energel BLN25
zebra g-301 or f-301 and pilot g2
I’ve had uniballs let me down. I’ve used many g2s until they are out of ink. My only beef with the g2 is the refills are the same price as buying the pen.
Which Uniball pen is it?
@@arapaimagold8088 I have no idea off hand. I’m brutal if a pen fails me I quit using them. I will say the sharpie’s have grown on me. I’ve actually been using the new sharpies more than the g2s. (I use pens daily so when they fail I notice)
I Love the Pentel EnerGel X 1.0
Is your Pentel pen skip free and is the ink waterproof?
Charlie Moore, Jr. Yes, pentel energel inks are water resistant and they skip a little bit from my experiences, but that's with the 0.7 metal tip.
@@travia6688 from watching other pen experts vids on here, the Pentel EnerGel Permanent has the waterproof ink.
Charlie Moore, Jr. Yeah. But if you wait for 1 day the normal energel can be highlited.
@@travia6688 ok, thank you
pilot G2's are my go to's
Which is smooth uni or g2 or pentel
If you're ever looking for a ball point pen, I absolutely love BIC Atlantis ultra comfort. I have both the black and the medium blue. So smooth... the smoothest ball tip point I've tried. And so comfortable to hold. I think it's the medium thickness.
Also, a great one for bullet journals and planners is the ZIG Kuretake writer. Comes with a 1.2 mm marker and a 0.5 mm tip which I LOVE. Thanks for the vid... I've been in search for the perfect black gel pen and this really helped.
Japanese pens are the best
use the pilot V7
Pilot pens is the best
Yes!!
Most definitely their our the best pens on the planet.
You make such awesome videos....LOTS OF LOVE FROM INDIA
the pentel i have skips
bic velocity bold - smoothest pen ive ever used. atlantis not far behind.
Is it skip free and does it have waterproof ink?
Uniball is the best
I haven't tried the Staedtler but I don't think you'll find a smoother pen than the Energel. Personally I carry the G2 in .7 mm. because it holds up well in my jeans pocket, always writes smoothly, has a large ink supply, and is bold and dark. I was surprised that this pen won my own personal testing, but it just works. Your test was pretty basic and sadly lacking and the winner was preordained I think. You got a video out of it anyway so that's something.
Signo is the best
Out of the Pilot G2 pens, would you recommend .38 mm, .5mm, .7mm, or 1.0mm? Thanks!
CaptainKidYT i ❤️the 1.0 the writing is so smooth and bold
2018 anyone?👐👏🌈
A new video? ;)
I think you should try out some Indian Pen Brands too, like Flair Eeze click, Cello ball pens etc. they have some really good Ball pens that can give Japanese Brands a run for their money.
Kavan Puranik Once, Indian passenger forgot Cello pen- plastic and very ordinary looking, but it was the best pen I ever had (and I am a pen hoarder). Never ever I came across that quality, and I bought some Cello pens I could come across in USA.
@@lili721 Yeah, as Indians, most of us grew up using cello pens, at some point or the other.
WAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM WITH THE G-2!!!!!!!
Why are you yelling? It’s just a pen.
Uniball signo 207😊
My all time favorite is the pilot precise v5 rt second is energel needle tip 0.5
I'll keep those in mind im always looking for new pens :)
As a left hander, i think I'm going back to standard ink. These G2 gels just smear and leak.
Try pilot acroball
Pilot g2 is best
Theyre not my fav but theyre not bad :)
No they arent.i have plenty of them as well as Pentel.I prefer Pentel 10 times more
The G2 is very bad.
and Signo 207.
Everyone has different opinions these are pens I still use. Thanks for watching.
I am just jealous the 2 pens stated only skip for me. :( All my friends use them perfectly, I guess it is the angle that I right at .
