Great Video tutorial - very helpful! Printing the bits as I watch.
have fun putting it together. I still really like building Geckos, they are fun to put together. If you run into any issues the video cant help you with, feel free to reach out!
parts are printing as I'm watching this I cant wait to use this blaster it looks so good
awesome. Have fun building it!
Awesome video. One of the best build guides I've ever watched.
Thanks mate!
I noticed your turnaround wasn't the same as the turnaround in the file set I purchased
Just awesome tutorial, I won't have the choice but to get one from you very soon to ship in Québec !
thank you. and yes, we can definitely do that! get in touch whenever you are ready.
Awesome as usual 👍🏻👍🏻
thanks brother!
I really think I found the perfect way to construct the turn around. I've been using my Resin printed one for a week now and it hasn't shattered, and the air seal is phenomenal, the pusher seal and the compression chamber seal are smooth as glass. Just need to drill out the heat insert holes a bit to slide them in with a bit more uv resin to embed them, and do the same with the barrel. Just have to print it with a translucent resin to accomplish this. I used an "ABS LIKE" clear blue for strength.
Again thanks for the kits and info!
that sounds interesting. I would love to see it when its finished!
Thanks for the wonderful video it's super helpful
Thanks my friend, happy to help!

Why not just put some thick grease on the pin instead of gluing it in place? It's not permanent, but it should definitely stop it from rattling. Something like a white lithium that won't eat away the plastic.
because I personally don't like greasing up blasters and parts when its not needed. It gets messy over time and I don't like that. But if it works for you, go for it.
Can i use a hotglue gun's metal part to heat insert? How else can heat inserts be installed?
I don't know how hot your hot glue gun gets, but if its around the same as your print temp than it should work. But I have only ever used a soldering iron for that.
Where can I get the .stl for the upgraded turnaround with the extension like you have in the video?
right here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4939476/files
just added it to the video as well
@@RainbowCircus Thanks!
@@RainbowCircus Email gechickt:)
When I printed the turnaround the barrel doesn’t quite fit in, but it fits fine through the catch housing. Did you have this problem too? Or do you have an idea of what might be causing it?
Aloha Josh,
I have encountered that same problem sometimes. It has to do with different printer tolerances and variations in barrel material. Even with the variation in the barrel being very little, if its slightly bigger and your printer prints the turnaround slightly smaller it will cause that problem. I fixed mine by dremeling out the turnaround a bit and then using glue (which is recommended anyways) to secure the barrel. Hope that helps.
@@RainbowCircus got the blaster to fire and everything but the feeding seems really inconsistent. Sometimes the darts will get stuck and won’t shoot. Have you had this problem before too? If so what did you do to fix?
@@robopenguin5501 make sure that your pusher is in line correctly. Depending on how you printed your slide there might be some bit of plastic under the pusher causing it to not be aligned correctly. Also make sure your mags and turnaround are cleaned of any printing debris to the darts can travel freely.
It also might have something to do with your magazine. If the spring is to strong and the follower does not move freely (friction with the mag walls) it will cause more resistance and also squeeze the darts more, which could lead to miss-feeding.
Ill sub i saw this and I was like ok
thanks mate!
I'm considering making my own gecko with carbon fiber filaments. Which parts do you think are the most brittle and could use some extra strength?
Also where else can I get the thermal insrets incase I need some extras?
as for the carbon fibre, I honestly don't know. I have not had much trouble with any parts so far. but I guess the plunger and the pusher would never hurt to have more strength
if you order a hardware kit through my shop (www.rainbowmods.com) just write in the comment and a toss in a few extra.
I could also make them available separately if thats something people would want.
Thank you for the fast reply. I will keep them in mind.
Kann ich auch Kork als 'Plunger head padding' nehmen? Hab ansonsten nichts gefunden was ich nehmen könnte.
Aloha,
Schreib mir ne Email and info@rainbowmods.com
Where can I get the heat inserts besides Your listing
amazon, aliexpress, ebay, hardware store
Yo what lube is good homie?
there is several but I am using O-ring lube by Synco/Super Lube.
Super Video, schön erklärt.
Jetzt nur noch auf 'Schäbisch' .
Mfg Bernd (88326)
XD noi!
@@RainbowCircus, okay in deutsch reichts auch...
I couldn't find the darn hardware kit anymore.. The only models i see are the cheap chinese clones are there.
You can still get the hardware and the full blaster through my shop: www.rainbowmods.com
The files are on github if you want to print the og gecko yourself. There are several updated files on thingiverse and cults3d, which I personally use as well. Let me know if you need some pointers.

@@RainbowCircus so it uses a soldering iron. I have no experience with that. Oh well I can pick up on the skills.
