Turkish airlines has got to have the BEST in-flight catering for economy passengers. Real cutlery and you always get fresh rolls, beats anything you would get on a US carrier
Recently flew Turkish Airlines. I really don't know what the fuss is about. They are extremely unfriendly, especially for families flying with a toddler. None of their staff seem to know what an infant car seat is. Crew seemed to get offended at every question we asked. Which weren't many. We only asked for milk from time to time. Food was bland. Cabin temperatures boiling hot. Yes, never flying Turkish ever again.
Relative to a US carrier, sure. Most US airlines are crap because they aren't competing with anyone for routes. But when it comes to Turkish against Qatar, the latter is on a different planet.
Good video. Turkish Airlines represents the Turkish nation well. Not perfect but a very kind and hospitable people with generosity of spirit and welcome.
About fast track, in Turkey and especially in İstanbul they are always waiting you to take you to the fast track for connection flights for Turkish Airlines passengers, so most probably you will not miss your connection flight. Once it took 8-9 minutes to enter airport from the plane, pass passport control and catch domestic connection flight
Flying Turkish for my first flights and my first trip back to the US since before the pandemic in May (TBS-IST-BOS). Can't wait! Will be my first time in the new Istanbul airport too, last time I flew through there, it was three days before they stopped flights at Ataturk.
My favourite airline! Something not mentioned is the professionalism of the cabin crew. Ive flown some airlines which have had rude and condescending cabin crew. Was never an issue with Turkish airlines since they train their cabin crew to a high standard.
In Sept I flew on a 13 hr Turkish Airlines flight Ist-IAH and they gave me a hygiene kit with 3 masks and one bottle of hand sanitizer. They said that you are supposed to change the mask every 4 hours.
I flew on a 12 hour flight from chicago to Istanbul. The flight was good for me but we were originally gonna take a direct flight on air India from chicago to Hyderabad but since my brother hated flying on that airline (mostly bc of the peanuts which he is allergic to) we had to fly on Turkish and Oman air and we had an 8 hour layover at each airport. This is why my father wanted to take air India because it took only 19 hours to get to Hyderabad from chicago and back but we instead took a 2 stop flight to Hyderabad and it took more than 48 hours to get to Hyderabad and back.
I actually love Turkish airlines, I have flown with them like 8 times I think, had a connecting flight to Dhaka in Istanbul this summer and everything was very nice but I was a bit stressed about the connecting but everything went nicely, love Turkish from Sweden🇸🇪
@@lattecafe921 Hehehe :D Håller med dig, åkte med dem 2 gånger nu i förra veckan från Arlanda till Istanbul, dem har så god mat o krispig bröd och att dem är varma :)
I flew Turkish a few years ago because of the price, but I didn’t expect to be on a superlative airline. Great plane, food and service, and Ataturk Airport was a pleasure.
We also have a Tripreport on our channel of an Istanbul to Nairobi flight which was operated by an A330 with the new cabin, if you want to see what the other one is like… :)
tbh all these reviews sound pretty much the same... a plane,a seat, meals, a remote control, a pilot....at least he is a good reviewer and not one of those snobbish aviation vloggers like Sam and so on!
I flew with them on the route Budapest - İstanbul - Jakarta in an A350 and it was amazing. The courtesy of the staff was top notch and the meal service was spotless, included the timing of the serving. 12 hours gone almost without noticing.
Hi, I never flown Turkish Airlines before, But perhaps if their fares are competitive enough we may consider flying them to UK, but that depends on connecting flights and frequency. Looking at the product from your videos, it definitely looks nice, Good IFE, good screen size, the food I'm glad to hear it was nice however two options would have been way nicer, comparing with my experience on Emirates Airlines, in my opinion Emirates has the better product, but this Turkish Airlines product is better than the A319 product that Qatar Airways offered in Economy.
At Istanbul Airport you should AT LEAST have 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours between your flights just because of the massive size and all the people. I had to wait for 45 minutes in security once because it was soo busy.
Some of the top tier airlines have downgraded their meal to 'new concept' meal- main and generic ice cream for 3-4 hours flight. Great to see TK still services- main, salad, dessert...etc for 3-4 hours flight. Well done TK! Thanks David.
in minute 12:20 i have a question, if they lost a baggage, what happens to the baggage. Will it just stay in the airport?, it will be put in the lost and found? or the owner does not really care about it and just leaves it alone and just buys new luggage.
Most airlines will have your home address, and will return your luggage to you once it is located. If it is at the start of your travel, they will forward it to your destination.
no it happend to me once. If your luggage still in airplane or they lost it you are giving your adress to them, later when they find it they post it to your home.
I flew on their A340 and it was a great flight. Crew did the best they could even with some passengers that had no manners. I'm more impressed by their 737, that looks like a great flight.
I flown Turkish airlines alot the Service was good the food was fantastic the seat comfort is very comfortable, but after the pandemic I didn't fly for 2 years but this year I'm finally in budapest so I say turkish airlines is a 4.5 stars for me
I think Felix should try to be the host of «Brutally Honest». Would be nice to see and hear him 😀 P. S. Simply Aviation, congratulations on the half a million subscribers 🥳👍5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
Yeah both David and Felix have been doing great work with this channel so sad they got half a million subscribers and they did not celebrate it with us faithfuls.
Thanks Simply Aviation, I love your videos. I am a big avgeek and your videos inspired me to try to make a career in aviation. And, after 1,5 years of studying and a 5 month internship at KLM as a Service Agent at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, I now got a job as a Flight Attendant. Still have to do the training and pass my exams, but I will definitely keep watching your videos as an inspiration!! Thank you guys!
Well Turkish airlines cancelled my return flight to sydney by some glitch in their system and have not reimbursed me for having to pay to purchase new tickets… this was only 2 weeks ago.
I honestly flew with them from Beirut to istambul and istambul to marseille im not gonna say they were good but they were okay but I can’t judge since these days we still have this pandemic 😷
I miss Ataturk airport so much....I realize there wasn't any space left to expand but the new IST feels so sterile and disconnected from the city (metaphorically and literally). But great review!
Have you done a trip report on Oman Air? I flew on it as a connecting flight because I arrived in muscat on Turkish airlines on the same aircraft as yours and flew from Muscat to Hyderabad on Oman air.

Las aerolíneas estadounidenses son una letrina, lo único bueno es que a veces consigues buenas ofertas.

Yep

There still seems to be many problems occurring mentioned by some people.

I'm not sure why I watch videos reviewing a product that I'll never be able to afford, but I still love these reviews and find them fascinating!
Technically, no average person can afford an airliner... however you can definitely afford a ticket to somewhere

Would you say 2 hours is enough time for a layover in Istanbul ?
