This shows how JAL really understands its passengers. Its 787 economy class is fantastic and Zip looks pretty good. Other LCCs don't understand that they still have to think about service.
If they had an option to bring heavier carryons I’d paid for that option (I bring my camera and chargers and that gets heavy or if you bring back souvenirs)
As there all many kinds of demands for LCC, I don't think all careers should pursue quality. ULCC,for example Wizz Air,pursues low cost. But Air Premia, pursues quality, and so Zipair does.
I really hope the management at Scoot watches this review. They're competing with Zipair on the SIN-NRT route at comparable prices and I'm much more inclined to choose Zipair after this review, especially for the free Wi-Fi 😊
Scoot is practically a scam! Its an ultra low cost airline masking as a not so low cost airline given its prices. Other southeast asian lccs offer much better value for money
Although I will only fly on a ULCC like Spirit, Frontier, or even a LCC like Southwest on a flight of less than two hours, something like ZipAir has appeal to me. I don't expect to be waited on hand-and-foot, even to an extent in Business/First; I simply want a good inflight experience. They seem like a good middle ground for international travel.
I live on the east coast and did a price comparison to a recent trip to Tokyo. If I had cobbled together a flight from east to west and then a flight from CA to Tokyo it cost about 200 bucks less which isn't bad. One thing I noticed though is that I couldn't find any zip flights in November or much past August so they may only operate during peak season.
I took Zipair from japan to korea. The free wifi for all passengers alone beats most of the premium airline. The speed of the wifi was pretty fast (flight was half full) and was able to play online games on my phone throughout the entire flight smoothly.
@@meldeoo it was good! It was a short flight (I think about 2 hours). The staff were friendly and very accomodating. They gave us water and the seats were fine. When I went the seats had Halloween themed decorations. Check-in at Narita was long so if you're taking Zipair, get there early because the staff ask a bunch of questions before you can check in your bags. I definitely will be taking them again!
I flew with them in March between Seoul and Tokyo. Lack of trolly service seemed odd but it made the flight more peaceful and relaxing. I was impressed with this airline
Thanks for calling out Scoot for being such a mercenary. Doing business with Scoot is like walking on landmines. Jetstar is probably just as bad. 2 companies which are more concerned about their profit than branding by means of quality of service. I'm sharing this video to my friends so they fly Zipair to Japan instead of those mercenary airlines. They really have so many to learn from Zipair. Looking forward to welcoming Air Japan to disrupt the market even more.
I just booked a zipair tokyo flight to Narita based on a friend's recommendation. With the premium package, my fare is around 300ish one way. Your review has given me a boost of confidence and some preparation for the upcoming trip to Japan. Thanks a bunch.
I flew ZIPAIR from Narita to Bangkok a couple of years ago when the pandemic was not quite over, and how I wish they would weather through the pandemic. The service was top-notch, and the wifi was more or less faster than the one in my apartment. One especially impressive story: I also bought the amenity kit, but one item was not available (or something along that line), and so they gave me complimentary snack instead. The snack was very delicious, but the moment I finished it, a crew rushed to my seat and started apologizing. I was so panicked at that moment, thinking they served the wrong person and I accidentally ate someone’s food. It turned out, she apologized for not asking me first about my allergy (the snack contains some nuts in it, I think) and hoped that the complimentary snack was alright. I told her I very much enjoyed it, and god how they were so nice and helpful for the entire flight. They definitely tied up my chapter of life in Japan so perfectly, and I’m really glad they’re expanding now. Really hope they would bring a good competition to LCC market, especially in SEA-NRT routes.
@@heidirabenau511, yes, but don't forget that JAL itself went bankrupt a few years ago. It rebounded, but JAL used to be the largest airline in Japan, and ANA the second. Now they've traded places and ANA is bigger.
Norwegian is not bankrupt, they are still going, but cut their long distance flights. The pandemic hit them hard just like other carriers, so cutting long distance flights and seling their 787 fleet made for some cost saving measures. Now they are flying mostly in Europe, with some flights going to Tenerife and Iceland, which are their longest flights.
Compare to what some low-cost carriers offer on a long-haul flight (specifically Scoot), I personally agree with you that Zipair is one of the best out there. At first, I can't really believe myself when you say there's a free wifi and it's unlimited. Secondly, the price itself is also very very cheap and fair, with just almost $400 you spend on this 11 hour flight, you got what you get on a premium service airline (Meals and Amenities). Meal itself also looks better than some premium service airline tbh. Yet there's an universal power-outlet and USB port which every pax can used for an unlimited time. Business Class concept is also interesting with a 1-2-1 config. Thank you for the amazing and honest review, Zipair will become one of my future airlines to fly (specifially to Japan). 😃😃
I flew several times with Zip already since 2021 and I will say they are OK. I flew the biz and eco when the entire row was mine. Since I flew them often so I know exactly what I want and was prepared for boarding LCC long haul. The food is actually cheaper if you purchase onboard than LAX airport... and tastes better!
I love that you don't go negative for views. So many aviation bloggers are now doing this, such as that dude who hates EVERYTHING and creates click bait, and the nice British man Noel who now lives in Texas, USA who started doing the same thing after meeting and doing a joint video with the negative click bait " I'm a star because I do negative reviews, and hate aviation anyway, I just want revenue is why I'm doin' this *hit" guy. YOU haven't fallen for that trap. You're honest, decent, and trustworthy. And I believe you. Good for you boys! Keep it up.
We flew in Dec '22, and for a long flight from LAX to Narita, we were all super impressed. The wi-fi was a bit spotty on our flight, we kept getting disconnected but overall, we will continue to fly ZipAir, as it provides great comfort at an amazing price! Great review of the airline.
ZipAir (or Zippy as we refer to it in LA) is a daily flight out of LA. It’s a great idea and falls somewhere in between a LCC and full service airline. And with free Wi-Fi I would fly them in a heartbeat. I’d be willing to bet their economy is just as good as Delta’s. Great review David!❤✈️
Very good quality for the price. Honestly, I’m all okay if airlines take the inflight entertainment systems away if it results in reduction in price by maybe 50-100 bucks. I usually fly long hauls which are normally more than 12 hours. If one is able to save a 100 bucks on each flight with just basic stuff, it’s really very good idea.
I strongly agree, I'd rather take fast free wi-fi onboard rather than IFE since the selections are limited and I noticed people are mostly opened their ipad, phone, or laptop anyway me included lol. I believe cutting the IFE out will make flight cheaper too especially for long haul.
I'm flying ZIPAir in August. I only opted for the Biz package that just gives you seat selection and the maximum allowance for carry-on baggage, 12kg. I also added the amenities pack shown in the video. All in, roundtrip from SIN to NRT, it came to around USD 450. Even in low season, that's a very good price for a 7h flight each way. Having seen this video, I'm really looking forward to the experience. One downside is that their full-flat "business class" costs much more than their respectable economy class, I fear it might not be worth it, given you're just getting a nicer seat at the end of the day.
@@foxgaming76yt24 I personally try to stick with legacy airlines cause I can collect loyalty points/miles, but ZIPAIR has a lot of good things going for it. As seen in this video, their seats are the same ones legacy airlines use for long-haul flights, not budget airline slimline ones, making them more comfortable. Free WIFI was great to have, I could use Instagram and watch UA-cam no problem, although it was slow at first. Just ensure you bring a water bottle and fill it up before the flight, because their planes do not have water dispensers and the crew will charge for bottled water. I was only going on a short trip to Japan, so I was glad I had the option to increase my carry-on allowance to 12kg with the Biz Package and not pay for check-in luggage. I would not have managed with the standard 7kg. I was actually 0.7kg over my limit coming home, but the ground staff still gave me the all clear, but don’t push it too far. Overall, very good value for money. If it’s an option and the price is right, I’d recommend them. However, I’d personally struggle to justify the ZIP Full-flat “business class”, cause economy is good enough.
This is the only airline i fly to Japan. I discovered it during Covid and fell in love with the airline. The service and quality of everything is well worth it. Ive flown business class on one of my legs from LAX or HND. The price of the business class round trip during the pandemic was $900 round trip. Now that everyone is doing reviews and sharing the information of the airline. Business class is around $2100 round trip now. I liked when the plane was also empty without tourist. I just wish that Zipair wold also land in Haneda. But NRT is still good and is only a 1 hour train ride on Narita Express to Shinjuku.
Flew with them just recently and I agree zipair did a great job. The cost of the flight plus their package is a great deal and comfort for what you pay for is worth it. Definitely the free WI-FI made a difference as it provides access to messages and email. Just know that sometimes you cannot stream things so i recommend just bringing your own shows and using Wi-Fi just to check on messages. The flight crew was super nice and friendly. I would also recommend zipair for those traveling to Japan.
I Liked the fact that you mentioned what could’ve influenced your opinion about the flight even though the difference between scoot and zipair was huge. It stops people in the comments section from pointing everything different that you did. Can’t wait for the next one 🙂
I recently did a project on Norse Atlantic in my business strategy class. My reccomendations for them are exactly what ZipAir are doing! So cool, hopefully it goes right for them!
Flew Zipair from Honolulu to Japan, it was really impressive! Pretty strict about the luggage allowance but they have new planes, decent inflight prices, and free wifi! Both legs I didn't reserve a seat but they gave me a window seat with my own row
I’ve seen lots of long haul, low cost carriers online. In fact, I’ve flown Norse just this year (Excellent flight in my opinion, by the way). But if I get the chance to fly to Japan in the future, which I will, maybe, I will for sure attempt to fly using this carrier!! I have wanted to visit this country for YEARS!! And I can’t wait to fly on a LCC like this one!!
Okay, it’s been nearly ten months after this post, and I can happily say, I have flown this beautiful airline. Here’s the story: Back in November, I paid $424 round trip from LAX to NRT, along with an additional $100 from MIA to LAX round trip. Keep in mind that you DO need to pay three months in advance, and I got the price perfectly around this time. I paid some additional stuff around separate times (food and amenities), expecting the same result as this video.and let me just say: I DEFINITELY would recommend this flight!! It was just amazing. The food (same as ordered here on this video) was supremely tasty. The wi-fi needed a little bit of adjusting, but it wasn’t bad, just basically ordering stuff on the flight only. The plane itself was clean and the FAs were professional and kind. The amenities were really cool. I loved the slippers (I still have them with me), I love the shades and the blanket. Overall I was completely satisfied. I loved it!!!
I like how you get a basic product and then are able to add on the extras you want at a very reasonable price. Plus you can reuse these items as you've bought them and they no longer belong to the airline thus saving cost on future trips with the airline. The fact that unlimited WiFi is available for all passengers is incredible. I can't think of any other airline which does this. The lack of IFE could be an issue for some people as you say but these days everyone has a mobile device, be that a tablet, laptop or similar, where they can watch content so personally I don't find this an issue. Even without these things one can browse the web so cutting out the IFE in return for a lower airfare is a concept that I think works well. After all you can charge your devices for no extra fee. I am sure there are plenty of other airlines to choose from on these routes if one wants all the extras like lounge access, priority boarding etc. To me this is low cost air travel done well and I am sure Zip Air will be a successful airline.
This looks absolutely fantastic. Hopefully Zipair will start expanding its destination list to SEA and Australia soon. I'd love to fly with them from Perth!
It's obvious Zipair did their homework. Now the bar is set for others to copy. The question is, will they? To copy is one thing, the other critical factors that will vary regardless are comfort(type of seats/space), service, professional etiquette, cleanliness, and meal quality to name a few that always varies from carrier to carrier. It's apparent Zipair has all this and more!
I'm a student studying aviation in university and we had the honor of having Japan Airlines' marketing and business team come to our class as guest speakers. They explained at Zipair targets the millenial traveler who prefer to spend more at their destination rather than the journey there. We also got to hear them talk about their destination strategy, and during covid, Zipair was used to carry mail around Asia. They found that travelers were willing to make a stopover in Japan during trips to other parts of Asia, and you can see that seen in Zipair's strategy, with them offering flights from the west coast of the United States and from Asian destinations like Singapore or Seoul.
Flying Zip air first time while watching this video from Narita to Bangkok. It is super amazing to have an unlimited Wifi on board and I agree with you it would be really great to have free Wifi rather than an entertaining screen.
Zipair departs from Terminal 1 at Narita, different from Terminal 2 for JAL, which means that Priority Pass passengers can use ANA Lounge when traveling on zipair. Most likely the best option from Japan to the west coast.
@@bens2233 west coast of USA. Although priority pass access at Narita for ANA Lounge is now suspended, there is multiple priority pass facilities at Narita.
I traveled from LAX to NRT last april, the flight was just as good as expected considering the price. I packed some snacks in my bag and got lots of movies and shows in my phone, plus my gaming console and I survived just fine. I ordered the food in advance , it was good enough, no complains about it. This is a great choice if you want to travel on a budget to Japan.
I’ve flown on Zipair 5 times SFO 4 times and Singapore in full flat class once. Great experience every time, no delays. I’m flying the SFO route again in February, love it. I just hope it doesn’t get too popular and crowded 😅
Wow, that video was truly impressive! It's great news that Zipline is able to provide an affordable option for traveling to Japan without compromising on the quality of the experience.
The tablet holder is sooooooooo well integrated. I rarely watch anything on the in-flight entertainment system nowadays except the flight path anyways. Amazing!
i LOVE this airline! I have taken Zipair twice already, once in dec 22 and once in mar 23 from singapore to tokyo. I enjoyed the food on board and the wifi was decent too (i could not connect to the wi-fi during the dec 22 flight). I like the seat pitch as it is longer than on scoot and airasia. they provide the powerpoints for free while scoot charges for the powerpoint. I was able to get some decent sleep on both flights to tokyo (the people around me were not tall or fat people thankfully). In fact, i like this airline so much i will be taking it again in march 2024 to see the cherry blossoms again. I booked the march 24 flights the day the tickets were released
Thank you for great review as always, you are beyond every other aviation channel on UA-cam! I always skip the long haul low cost carriers when searching for a flight but thanks to this report I will consider Zipair in the future if the price is right :)
Zip just got googled on my laptop. Find a cheap flight from the Midwest to CA and off we go to Japan, which is a definite bucket list item for me. Thank you, David for bringing this great airline to our attention.
ZIPAIR's value truly shines if you buy their business class service. It's as cheap as an economy seat on JAL but you get a lie flat seat minus the fancy meal service. Strong suggestion for this for an okay time in the air on budget :)
Great review! I flew HNL-NRT in lie-flat seats in April. I planned on sleeping most of the flight so preferred the lack of interruption from the crew. Loved it, wish I could do it everytime but maximizing the budget end, I won't dread economy seats the next time. It's worth mentioning two cons I experienced, first, they are dead serious about baggage weight, both carry-on and checked luggage. Opt for pre-purchasing more rather than getting stuck at check-in. And secondly, boarding is a freaking free for all at both Honolulu and Narita. There's a brief boarding call for families w/small children and those needing extra time but no more than 3 minutes later everyone is invited to board.
Fantastic video and review! Amazing airline … beautiful cabin, comfortable seats, excellent crew, affordable meals/snacks and … FREE WiFi! I’d absolutely take that over IFE.
I took the same flight Mar 2022. The flat seat with only 1000 USD was an excellent deal. Yes, the food was just edible at best , there was no lounge before the flight, and the small storage around the seat was a bit limited, compared to the Flagship business seat of AA with the very similar layout, but the flat seat with an aisle access in the long haul flight was all what I need. It is true that a free WIFI was offered, but it was very unstable and choppy, and there was no way to use it for video streaming via UA-cam during the flight. So apparently they have improved the wifi quality since then.
They take it to another level when they talked about “low cost carrier”😂 which i really appreciate. Unfortunately they haven’t opened any Indonesia-Japan Route yet. Hope it will come few years later
I mean, they have flights from Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines already, which are all within SEA, I don't think it's an impossibility that they'll introduce flights between Indonesia and Japan
Excellent review - great to hear your views on the experience and comparison with other airlines rather than just simply documenting the experience without critique as to if it's good or bad
I work at Recaro aircraft seating. Those are some really good seats. Obviously there is no IFE to save cost but other than that, it is just the exact same seat as the other luxury carriers such as Emirates, Fly Dubai, Ethiad, etc.
I flighted zipair between SJC and NRT this August. Yes there's no service but it's far better than other low cost airlines that I have experienced. The food is delicious and price is probably cheaper than what you can get from the airport. The free wifi is slow but absolutely usable. The seat is even more comfortable than many normal airlines. They also offer deep discount (~80%) for toddlers that you can't find on other airlines. I will definitely fly with them again in the future.
Great review, comprehensive and highlighting the little things, like the window shades being darkened yet not locked out. I think I wouldn't mind if every airline got rid of their IFE and just offered the free WiFi even on oceanic flights like across the Pacific. They save all that weight in every seat by not having a screen and all that wiring. Plus every passenger is already carrying a portable screen in their pocket, so why not.
Outstanding video. Zipair looks like they offer a very good value based on your review. Tons of great information and inside tips in this review. Based on this video I would absolutely book with Zipair. Thank you again for such a great video.
I just got back from Japan and flew zipair lie flat and cant imagine flying any other way now. Loved the minimal but comfortable service, just bring your own entertainment and some snacks.
I (almost) never use the IFE after I quickly browse it prior to takeoff unless something catches my eye, I bring my own devices, so removing it wouldn't be a huge loss to me
I've used it a few times and it's honestly pretty good as long as you know what to expect. Japan's LCCs have better quality than most American carriers anyway.
Flew Zipair from Hawaii to Narita for only $250 rt. It was the best flight I’ve ever taken. So smooth, the plane was clean and half empty. It felt so peaceful. The staff was super friendly and professional. Also, food wasn’t too expensive. Loved it!
Just booked a one-way ticket from LAX > NRT for the unreal price of $207 tax included. I purchased two extra add-ons, one check-in baggage +$54 and Hayashi Rice meal +$11. Grand Total is $272. Wild considering JR RAIL PASS 7day is now more expensive even with my add-ons. I’m a JAL FFPC member so it’s nice that ZIPAIR is the subsidiary carrier. Was thinking to take a Hawaiian Airlines route for $360 because it has the advantage of arriving at Haneda (LAX > HND) but even with the add-ons it was still about $100 cheaper and arriving early afternoon rather than 10pm if I took the HND route.
Awesome, I kept seeing them and was a bit skeptical because I never heard of them but after watching this I would definitely use this airline and save some $. Thanks for this video.
Flown 2 round trip flights with Zipair and been really happy. Clean planes, on time, pleasant and helpful staff. Only complaint I’ve had is that the food was not good. That being said, I bring snacks on flights and don’t expect plane food to be good regardless of company. Already booked a third round trip on Zipair
Me and my 2 kids in their 20s plus my son in law are planning our 1st visit to japan in 2025! I am so looking forward to this Epic trip! Thank you this review! We are going to use this ZIPAIR! Perfect for our way there. WE CAN SPEND MORE ON OUR TRIP ONCE WE GET TO JAPAN.
Free WiFi would definitely be a game changer. I spend a lot of time on long haul flights and I have to say that even though the content in IFEs is plenty, most people have a couple of series they've been invested in and would rather continue watching that. I'd say 95% of passengers have a laptop, tablet or smart phone which they can use to watch their entertainment anyway. I rarely use the IFE because I would rather use my noise cancelling headphones instead of the headphones provided by the airlines. Removing bulky boxes from under the seat would also be a major plus! Zipair is on to something and other airlines should pay attention. How was the WiFi reliability throughout the flight David?
I was a little skeptical but you got me. These prices are fantastic. Up half savings (or more) compared with JAL/ANA. There are numerous inconveniences (in terms of cost in money and time) such as having to buy optional services, commuting from NRT to central Tokyo, and only being available in the west coast (so needing to travel there). But in general, it can be cheaper deal if you are willing to make compromises and stay flexible. Interesting option especially for students and young people.
The brand ethos reminds me a lot of MUJI which is a lifestyle franchise that is anti-brand. To put that similar mindset to travel is bold. There are things in full service airlines I can do without but cannot without in LCCs, if this is the airline that can strike that balance, they could be the pioneers of an all new service segment.
Thanks for the review, we were eyeing ZIPAIR for an upcoming trip, but being based on BOS, the price to fly to one of the California airports didn't make the trip any cheaper. That said, BOS could use another direct flight to Tokyo. It would be a very interesting move if ZIPAIR started flying between BOS NRT, even though JAL has that monopoly at the moment.
Excellent review! You’ve convinced me to consider ZipAir on my next flight to Tokyo or Eastern Asia. I enjoy your style of presenting air travel experience, however I find most (if not all) airline reviews NEVER look at the experience at the arrival airport (i.e., passport control, luggage delivery and trip to the city). This experience (good or bad) is IMO definitely worth a mention when traveling. Former user of Lisbon airport here. 🇵🇹 Otherwise, your work is appreciated. 🙏🏻
Loved how well organized your video and the accompanying written information. Including the equipment you used to create your video.. Thank you very much. I want to fly Zipair
Thank you for the detailed review ! My family flew on Air Asia in October,2023 from Singapore to Korea. There was no service not even a glass of water ! It is good to watch objective review of various low cost carriers for future booking on some routes.
ZipAir do have bidets on their planes, but they're only avaiable on the lavatories at the front. I suspect this is because they're meant for bussiness class passengers, but still, anyone in the plane can use them.
I like their simple, but elegant and cosmopolitan kind of interior design. Looks clean, and easy on the eye. Everything else you mentioned were really great to hear and learn, your experience sets a benchmark, and I agree that other budget airlines should learn from these experiences you had off ZIPAIR. Now if you can only pronounce 'Japan', that would really take the cake! :) Cheers!
Want to point out that Keisei Skyliner offers a faster access to Tokyo metro area compared to N'EX from Narita. 35min to Ueno vs 55-60min to Tokyo station.
ZipAir looks nice! Free WiFi? I wish Scoot is like ZipAir, especially since Scoot is owned by the one and only Singapore Airlines. Offering a free Wi-Fi for the entire flight for all passengers is A plus. The flight can be tolerated even with out a personal TV on each seat.

@@Kiraasuka12590 Almost all American airports have horrible food at very expensive prices.
From my experience their meal service is exactly the same as JAL
ZIPAIR is growing to be one of my favorite carriers over the amenities they do provide you. Hopeing for the best coming forward
How did it end up being for you?
So, if you don’t buy any of the packages, do you still get a carry on?
yes 7 kg only. even if its 7.5 kg you need to pay the upgrade to 15 kg @@heythave
Free wifi & amenity kits available for purchase are definitely a plus for LCCs! Hope more airlines adopt this concept
Here’s the story:
Back in November, I paid $424 round trip from LAX to NRT, along with an additional $100 from MIA to LAX round trip.
Bravo ZipAir. I don’t need in-flight infotainment, WiFi, elegant food, drinks, etc. We need just a seat, water, and a safe landing. 👌🏽
Most likely the best option from Japan to the west coast.
the west coast of where?
If you don’t buy any of the packages, do you still get to have a carry on?
Hahaha not seeing this in near future 😅 but we'll see kan ya
@@justmeajah lets hope, hope is free 😂
I mean, they have flights from Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines already, which are all within SEA, I don't think it's an impossibility that they'll introduce flights between Indonesia and Japan
That was amazing value for the flight! Will definitely be keeping Zipair in mind for future travels to Japan.
Excellent review - great to hear your views on the experience and comparison with other airlines rather than just simply documenting the experience without critique as to if it's good or bad
You have done a wonderful job explaining all details plus you were very professional.
Bravo . Thank you
I work at Recaro aircraft seating.
Flew Zipair from SJC to NRT in December, pretty great flight for the price.
Thanks for covering Zipair. They just made flights available to Manila and I've been looking for a different airline for my next flight to Tokyo.
Great video mate, thanks for all the helpful information. I will definitely keep an eye on this airline for my next trip to Japan.
Outstanding video. Zipair looks like they offer a very good value based on your review. Tons of great information and inside tips in this review. Based on this video I would absolutely book with Zipair. Thank you again for such a great video.
I was scrolling through Wikipedia and found Zipair, thinking has anyone ever reviewed one. Awesome video!
I just got back from Japan and flew zipair lie flat and cant imagine flying any other way now. Loved the minimal but comfortable service, just bring your own entertainment and some snacks.
I just finish my flight. Very happy with this airline. Big plus is internet , very clean airplane .
Great content! Thank you for posting this.
The meal on Zipair looks really good, and it’s better than some 5 star/ world class airlines.
Wow, I can finally afford flights to Japan with my family. Thanks Zipair!
12:47 free wi-fi I wish ever airline offered it especially here in Canada airlines here they charge for it but zipair
Looks like a really great airline in terms of value for money! I hope they also fly to Europe in the future.
Will try them from Tokyo to Manila next year, looking forward to it even more now.
I (almost) never use the IFE after I quickly browse it prior to takeoff unless something catches my eye, I bring my own devices, so removing it wouldn't be a huge loss to me
Thank you for sharing. Good to know the ZIPAIR pacific route service so good. I shall give it try next time!
Loved it!
Which month did you fly?
Mid February. Bought my tickets on Travel Tuesday. @@heythave
What a truly awesome airline!!
Thanks I will try Zip on my next Flight Bangkok to Japan
Wow😮 this is dream, finally zip air expose in this amazing channel thank you so much.😄👍👍
I like the pro tipp of bringing your own stuff onboard to safe on buying stuff
The food looks AMAZING!!! Another great surprise from Japan!
Really appreciate it! Especially since tickets from Honolulu to Tokyo just went on sale under $400!
I’m investing in JAL a half million and thanks flying with ZIP. Great to hear that our airlines provides decent service.
It's good to see here the full review of your flight with Zipair. Now we know what to expect.
Im so happy Im from San Jose, so I can frequently use this to return my family in the states.
Nice Tripreport thx. I hope Zip Air will come to Germany that I can User them too. Best wishes. Daniel
although unlikely, I'd love zipair to fly to european destinations one day, I'd love to try them out and I'm hardly ever in the states
why is it unlikely?

I was a little skeptical but you got me. These prices are fantastic. Up half savings (or more) compared with JAL/ANA. There are numerous inconveniences (in terms of cost in money and time) such as having to buy optional services, commuting from NRT to central Tokyo, and only being available in the west coast (so needing to travel there). But in general, it can be cheaper deal if you are willing to make compromises and stay flexible. Interesting option especially for students and young people.
I do agree with you 😊IFE is heavy the airline can gain the massive payload back.
Free WiFi with bunch of libraries.
Free Wi-FI on board an international long haul flight is amazing! Especially on a low cost airline. Great flight!
Straight from that 2013 Singapore to Sydney 772 flight, f... Scoot. I hope ZipAir give them a mighty good kicking around APAC markets.
Seeing as Zipair is a JAL subsidiary though, I don't think they'll mind introducing some flights with Zipair should they think demand is sufficient
Best reviews online.. I like the narration without obsessing on safety or politics.
Otherwise, your work is appreciated.

My family wants to take a trip to Japan in the next year or so and I’d never heard of this airline it looks great maybe we’ll consider using zipair
Took Zip last November. Way above expectations. Economy leg room increased w a unique seat design. Free wifi!? Staff was young and fresh.
ZipAir do have bidets on their planes, but they're only avaiable on the lavatories at the front. I suspect this is because they're meant for bussiness class passengers, but still, anyone in the plane can use them.
I also noticed bidets available on lavatories (all four) near the L2/R2 doors.
I’m flying ANA’s 787-9 (and 787-8) this summer for the first time and I’m so excited! Glad you stayed at a better LAX hotel compared to the Travelodge when you flew United Polaris :)
