Thank you very much! I'll be reviewing more sick BMWs very soon.. You have great taste. The e60 m5 has been a dream vehicle of mine since 2009, and one of these days I'll finally buy one. I think the s85 is one of the best engines ever built, and the sound makes me get emotional.. Congrats on getting one!! Enjoy. Thank you for watching!
Nice!!! That's awesome! Has to be the absolute sickest car you can buy for such a low price. Hard to believe they're so cheap... I still love them and would like to own one someday to mess around with, but at this stage, I don't trust myself to have a fast car as a daily driver, haha, so I opted to buy something slightly heavier and slower, a QX 80. I tend to speed and drive like a crazy person, so to prolong my life and insurance coverage, I didn't get a BMW, for now... Congrats on the purchase, and enjoy it!!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
After my current 5 series I am looking at getting one of this or the current one, Most likely from carmax with max-care. The problem is on carmax they disappear within 24 hrs. I have lust for adventure and I cant wait to get my hands on one of this beast.
Lemme see.. Looks like RK Autowerks has a carbon fiber setup. Expensive though, of course. It's hard to find much solid info on this! That's a shame... Hopefully a cheaper alternative appears by the time I can finally buy one of these cars, haha. Best of luck! And thanks for watching!!!
Thanks! This thing really lets you get crazy in M dynamic mode. Off camera, I fully hung the back end out through some tight corners. Way too much fun! Thank you for watching!!
Unfortunately, I only had the keys for 24 hours. It was rented on Turo just to be reviewed and beaten on, haha. I think it was only like $90 for the day, amazing. I still want one badly!! I would be closer to getting an x5 m but Covid has made the restaurant/hospitality business slow lately, so maybe by 2022. These cars obviously can be expensive to maintain; disastrous, even, if the s63 fails, BUT there are gems on the used market with recent major overhauls done, and I want one of those. Thank you for watching!!
Yes, indeed. If you've recovered from your laughter, I'll explain: The f10 M5's s63 is obviously boring compared to the s85 v10, so BMW added the Active Sound which does make a v10-like noise. The whole point was to make the f10 sound more like an e60. That's what I was referring to. The e70 doesn't bother with this, and sounds like a v8. Thanks a bunch for tuning in!!!
Yes, indeed. I'll change the title soon. I'm afraid to look at their values due to all this craziness with the market. I still do plan on owning an x5 M at some point, hopefully when prices settle down. Thank you for watching!!!
I actually did, at 2:11 in the video. The way it lets you kick out the rear end in MDM is incredible.. What a car. Those rear tires cost so much, I would be afraid to put any extra wear on them, haha. Not the cheapest car to run, but worth it. I still want an X5 M, but I'm pursuing an F150 for my next car.. Thanks a ton for watching!!!
The main reason the engine has issues is because it wasn't maintained like BMW calls for. That's the problem with all Bavarian vehicles, maintain them like they should be, and they will operate great. Start playing with engine tunes, intake and exhaust systems and you are begging for problems.
This particular car was 100% stock, but yes, a tune does increase the odds of an S63 having some failure, unfortunately. I think intake/exhaust properly done is fine. An intake on this would sound amazing... And often, even a perfectly maintained BMW will have random, catastrophic failures. But yes, this car was in need of maintenance, for sure. It's probably had a pretty tough life. Thanks a bunch for watching!!!
@@BobsGT235 maybe you should do your research on these cars regardless if maintained or not these have defects hell they even had a class action lawsuit because of the motor see you need to educated yourself before talking its very clear you haven't a single clue what your talking bout lmfao you tried it tho and failed 🤣😂😂🤣
Hilarious. Which skills am I lacking particularly, and which part of the video shows it? I have 15 other reviews on here featuring my excellent driving skills. Check em out. I drive quite well, thank you!
Great review! I was looking at one of these but ended up going with a 6 speed E60 M5

@@samlovescars34 Just awesome control. Wouldn't catch me drifting an suv though lol.
@@malukingulo2308 I feel you! This beast is so confidence-inspiring it feels like a sedan after getting used to it.
How have you been with the car so far

@SamLovesCars34 What it comes down to is no manufacturer makes a bullet proof car.
