One of my favorite Aesop Rock performances on Colbert in 2016. Wish this dude would get at least one song go mainstream and put money in his pocket. His catalog dating back to 2000 is amazing.
listen to TV on Ten by The Uncluded. its aesop and i think the girl who did music from juno? but its about blockhead losing his mother and how they where just hanging out and heard the news on TV
@@courtneymortenson1313 It wasn't blockeads mom though.. Blockhead wrote about it on his blog: (That was at my house. I am "Tony" in that song. A little background on it... a bunch of people were hanging out at my place. My spot was pretty much a clubhouse back then. People would come over smoke weed, get fucked up and just chill till late. That particular day, there were 5 people hanging. Just taking bong hits and watching tv. Aes was there, among others. At some point, a news report pops on the screen about a swiss air plane crash in Nova scotia. We didn’t think much about it so we kept switching the channels. As some point, another friend says “hmm…my mom was on a swiss air flight…” All of us, who were stoned and dumb, we like “Nah, it wasn’t her plane it crashed in Nova Scotia” (stoner logic: Planes only crash where they’re flying to). But, cause he was curious we kept watching the news. As details leaked out, it started to seem like his worry was actually possible. He went into my bedroom and called his dad. He was in there for like 45 minutes and all of us started feeling uneasy. It became clear that this was actually happening. It was one of the most fucked up situations I have ever been involved in. He came eventually out the bedroom, visibly shaken and was like “Yo, I gotta go…” hopped on his bike and left. The rest of us were just left there with our mouths open asking “What the fuck just happened?”. It was awful.)
You make more self promoting and being independent than you do working with a major label. After you pay off the label, managers, and everything else usually around 90% artists are lucky to bring home 50 cents to a dollar per album sold. If you are independent and do most of your own production and promotion you bring home almost all of your per sale $ so you can sell 500,000 copies and make 5+ million vs having to sell 10 million + albums on a major label to bring home the same amount of $.
Bouncing double down the sidewalk. Left right to the highest high we all die to sky we rise until the night so bright we all rise in time we see all things blind.
ihear some megaman or it can be some like for skyrim or shiiii bump this for some minecraft ill play it then ahaa need this music to play tht for me 👏👏👏👏ima be mad if this aint a nft iseee so much with this isee so much with everyone been tryna collab with what igot everyone dnt see what isee or icnt just give everyone what isee they gotta get thE picture soon my music will be up on bandlab then to other platforms and onto the nft world youtube could potentially only be used for learning classes soon maybe prizes 🤔 etc
Maybe my speakers suck. Maybe I need more bass, or liked the original too much, but this beat ain't working for me. It's fire in itself, but doesn't mesh with the vocals or vibe very well. 3/5 ... hard to improve on the original.
3 old Aesop songs remixed by Blockhead came out one by one over the past few months, but the whole package came out via this playlist. The project is called "The Recycling Bin" rse.lnk.to/RecyclingBin
@@garystinnett8321 once I dreamed I was going through a muddy obstacle course, had to crawl on my belly under rope webs and I was in the muck..when I made it out there was a group of friends waiting to high five me and Aes was there, he came right up to me with a big smile and fist bumped me :) this was in 2016 a bit after Cat food and Bugzapper came out
You guys should check out "jam Baxter's new album "fetch the poison" He's a pretty interesting wordsmith creating vivid visuals with complex bar work. It's a shame he's not more well known, but I drop his name in Aesop's comment section from time to time :P I feel they have similarities
Well blockhead used to write aesops beats and that is and always will be when he sounded the best....I don't dislike aesops new technique to spitting rhymes...but you know he shit did sound superior in his deliverance before the switch to none shall pass style
I can't help but feel Aes is stronger with Blockhead because that's what I grew up listening to, but I really appreciate the work Aes did with Spirit Guide. Aes is a good sound guy in his own right at this point. Still hyped af to have them working together like this again.

@@Phlegm187plus you aren't beholden to people like Diddy.
Going on repeat for fuckin’ weeks. These two together is beyond MASSIVE.
Blockhead is it's "own" realm. This one is like a Nintendo Zelda street Clouds
Bouncing double down the sidewalk. Left right to the highest high we all die to sky we rise until the night so bright we all rise in time we see all things blind.
I can hear the Zelda now that you’ve said it, but I also hear Mario underground level hints
I thought of Sonic at first but Love it

except the synth is 100% LA-MULANA
Sounds like your facing a boss on the super nintendo i dig it
Absolutely fantastic. The bass in this song is absurd.
one of my favs from the album and this remix fucking slaps so hard
Heard this a while back, It's sick AF. Aes is the King and Blockhead his skilled blacksmith.
Hella great!
This really plays on Aesop's amazing style of rhyme he uses in this song
Blockheads beats are unreal as well
Kudos boys
Id love a full blockhead spirit world field guide i think itd go great with the ethereal edlritch vibe that album puts off
Block always has his drums figured the fuckout
Much appreciation for a long time from Germany to Aesop Rock and Blockhead
This gave me shivers. This is going on repeat for days. You guys are amazing
Aesop and blockhead = a experience
an* experience, but yea.
Blockhead killing with that 8bit synth
I believe in filtered square wave supremacy.
Guys like him and Lupe dont care about success, just the art. He lives a simple, quiet life in Oregon.
There you go making the best even better.
Where I'm from yall wouldn't even be in da mix..........gotdAmmmm
This is SO DOPE, feeling this to the fullest, gratitude to ya ~~~
Aes x Blocky still a killer combo
Aesop and Blockhead have been best in show for decades
Yup!
Kodokushi is some of his best writing
I love Blockhead but sometimes it doesn't mesh well..Aes's style has matured & changed a bit & love the beats he makes..
agreed, this one is super nice but often the remix isn't better than og.
With y'all. Interesting and cool but doesn't fully bring it like the original does.
You can just blast this song on repeat for weeks, man. One of the best songs ever made!
Long live the kings that have never been crowned. Long live the queens that have never been found.
This track got hella movements bro
Say what...more Aesop? Oh its gonna be a good weekend already ty mate i needed this.
Nice beat to highlight the vocals. Well done
Blockhead you genius
I fucking love aesop. I respect every ounce of his music. But blockhead on those fuckin remix beats, thank you.
Damn this beat is fire
One of the greatest bro outa this world
My fave on SWFG.
Nice variation.
You got me. I'm fully immersed.
I don't hate it but it feels like the audio is fighting... doesn't mesh... it's cool though, it's got a cashed out hangover vibe.
LOVE IT!!!
Hella great!!
Reset.
Yo why can’t I share this playlist!! So fire! 🔥
Shit I know right 😂
incredible Block incredible.
Aesop @ it again..................
This EP is fire!
Much love
I've been waiting for someone to sample I PET GOAT 2. glad it was Aesop
Kodokushi was among the best from SWFG, this remix is cool, but doesnt touch the original.
AES FOREVER!
Only Aesop rock can spit over a beat like this 🔥💯
More like only Blockhead could put a new beat under those lyrics. The vocals were already on a track before this remix.
Pleasant surprise
The song's title means 'lonely death' in japanese
thank you 💚
This is Insane
Yep.
I really like this alot!
So good.
it sounds so good wtf
The little cleaver that wood? The engine; that good?
Wow.
Real music.
Dope sound
Maybe my speakers suck.

I love SWFG, but the treble is painfully high on it.
Same, I like the beat but it doesn't match the lyrics for me.
Mother of pearl
Dat Rock!
holy shit this remix is wild
I wanna thumbs up before I hear it
Damnn wooo boy on fire
Cold ass riding
hot heads float in a cold belly sparker captain sulley sullenberger.
Love You Forever.

Serious question: did this remix leak or did I dream about it before?

@@kk-lr5ud that's a relief. Prophetic dreams about Aesop Rock music is something I have no time to deal with right now.

I don't have any affiliation to the guy, just really like his music. Trying to spread the word ✌️
Wait... wernt these remixes already released a month or 2 ago?

Just hook it to my veinnnnnnnnnnnnssssssssssssss

Who want it🔥
This is why I'm subscribed. 😎
But reported: it's so fire it burnt my house down. 🏃🏻♀️....... 🔥🏡🔥😝
One of my favorite tracks on the album. I like blockhead, But this doesn't do Kodokushi justice
Agreed
I need sunsets
First! LFG!
I will NOT submit
😢
Better than original
Why do i picture this as an anime opening?
First
Love the portuguese cobble stone streets motif..
First two weren't the good. This is.
