The thing about Aes is yeah his verses are dense af with a lot going on in them (especially stuff on like Float and Labor Days) BUT you can atleast get the gist of what hes talking about in most songs I mean I don't get like tons of the references and all that but can atleast tell basically what each song is about. He also has basically the same themes in his music throughout his entire career.. isolation, anxiety and depression, not really being into socializing and stuff like that. This is also why he has amazing replay value like sometimes I'll all sudden catch or get things in songs I've been listening to for like 20 years now lol

I gotta admit I never really enjoyed college that much, but ever since I discovered Aesop Rock I'm grateful I studied literature. I mean holy shit, his stuff is on a whole different level. (And as a non-native speaker I learn a ton of new words which is cool as well^^)
I'm so stoned and just had a serious academic level dissertation going on in my head about my own personal history of listening to Aesop's style evolve over the years.
I heard of Aesop Rock a few years ago just never really gave him a listen until about a year and a half ago. Since then I've been through almost his whole catalogue and it didn't take long for me to realize he's one of the best. As a rapper myself I try to tell other rappers they HAVE to listen and study Aes, he's just too good.
I've never felt like more of a kid in a candy store looking at the tracklist of this album, as if every title is an equally delicious chocolate bar on the shelf that I've never tried. This album will go down in history I can feel it in my jazz hands! Block and Aes 🤯

I gotta admit I never really enjoyed college that much, but ever since I discovered Aesop Rock I'm grateful I studied literature. I mean holy shit, his stuff is on a whole different level.
(And as a non-native speaker I learn a ton of new words which is cool as well^^)

I heard of Aesop Rock a few years ago just never really gave him a listen until about a year and a half ago. Since then I've been through almost his whole catalogue and it didn't take long for me to realize he's one of the best. As a rapper myself I try to tell other rappers they HAVE to listen and study Aes, he's just too good.

No man, that's what I thought. I grew up on this cat. Then slept on him for years to find out he dropped skelethon impossible kid and spirt guide. All three great albums. He is back to my top 5.
