Glad to see you back and congrats on feeling better. no mustang work for me as i'm in midwest and dealing with winter! :( but soon!
Thanks! It's good to be back!
Welcome to the Bronco Family! I've got two so far, 69 and 93.
Thanks! Can't wait to start on that one!
Good decision to replace the bushings. Squishy 50 year old rubber will allow a lot of lateral and torsional movement in corners
I'm glad you came back. Loving these videos
We're all glad to see you back Glad that your health is in good standings
Great new project Your channel is getting better your more informative and relaxed with the content and camera.
Thank you, I really appreciate the kind words and the support!
Sick new project, + loving the progress!
Thanks man! Also loving your video's on the Scrapstang as well! All of your fabrication work is awesome.
Glad you are back, keep up the good work!
Coming along nicely.
Been looking forward to the Mustang.
Great progress! Enjoying this build!
Love seeing the progress man.
Heck yeah been waiting for another video upload from Van Houten Builds!! We're starting to get worried about you man. Glad you're on the mend and back on your grind. 😎👍👊
Keep up the great work. Doing my own 65 Fastback nearly in synch with your vids, though more conventional total stripdown and then rebuild. Where did the cowl vacuum tube come from? Great idea! Oh - stellar use of PPE. You get big points for that!
That's awesome! I wish I had a fastback haha. Maybe that will be another project down the road. The vacuum tube is a milwaukee set: www.acehardware.com/departments/tools/wet-dry-vacuums/wetdry-vacuum-parts-and-accessories/2020611?x429=true&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwYSwBhDcARIsAOyL0fjtDo7FzpjmMgb0ImVdk7B_KDwRnmLMhH9Vmbd7T6NOTwg0o2CCTOwaAl7fEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
@@VanHoutenBuilds thank you Brother. The next question is how the heck do we paint down in there???
@@markwilliford7471 Just spray and pray haha. The only way to really get up in there is to remove the wheels and put everything up on jack stands.
I’m new to your channel just curious what happened to your arm? Also great work on the mustang
Thanks for watching and supporting! I had a pretty gnarly skin cancer surgery and then got a really bad infection. All healed, thankfully! Now from not using it for a while I've recently developed a bad case of tendonitis which has slowed me down lately. Getting old sucks haha.
I'm restoring a 1966 GT Fastback, watching you work at the same time. But, I'm wondering why you seem to put something together that skips steps or in the wrong order. Example is putting weather gaskets on an area that will need painting. I know you say it's not going to be a show car. Glad you're back and making vids on the restoration.
That part under the hood is already painted and there's no rust. I don't really care about repainting that part right now. I may in time though. I'm not knowingly skipping steps. I admit that I'm learning a lot going through the restoration process for the first time. Learning how I will do things the next time around. For example I probably should have started with the body work after I stripped the whole interior b/c it's making it very hard to work on the exterior while trying to keep the interior clean, I learning. I mainly just want to get it on the road and enjoy it as soon as possible. Thanks for watching my journey! I bet you're having fun restoring the GT Fastback, I would love to own one of those some day!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
what’s the red wheel he’s using on his drill???
what is he using to paint everything black i need that someone tell me asap 🙏🙏
I'm using Rustoleum Rust Reformer. It's amazing!
Don’t sing. It’s not your strong suit.

Please don't paint it yellow when you are done!
Hahaha, definitely not painting it yellow! Probably going Gaurdsman Blue with Wimbledon White racing stripes.
