  • The tale of how the Devil's Elbow got it's name - Part 2!
The Devil's Elbow is a sharp bend on the B6105 in the Longdendale Valley in the Peak District. It's a spot of excessive paranormal activity... at least in terms of sharp bends in the road :-D
There are a couple of legends as to why the spot became known as "The Devil's Elbow" and I've got the second and final one for you this time.
Learn about how a hill named Nell's Pike in Longdendale got it's name from a local witch, and how her witchy offspring 'Nan Nutter' helped her to create the Devil's Elbow itself!
For anyone who already subscribes to my channel (Firstly, THANKS!) don't fret if you're wondering whether you'll have to look at my face from this point on... then good news: I'll be definitely continuing the Quiet Walks, I still won't be showing anyone's face in them. These are an entirely different thing I want to alternate between. I've always had an interest in ghost stories, folklore, cryptozoology... anything paranormal! I think most people do to some degree.
Believe it or not, the quiet walking videos came from my initial interest in getting out to record a paranormal fun podcast outdoors, about these spooky legends and ghost stories. That idea eventually developed into these videos (it only took me about 6 years to get here) but the quiet walks were easier for me to begin, especially with me doing the walks for fun already!
Thanks for watching... Please like & subscribe, If you don't already...

Thanks @atrampinthehills.841 really pleased you enjoyed it! Chalk one up for Nell! 😄
It's one of my favourite places to go, Bramah Edge. Partly because it's so quiet, but also because of the view, rocks, trees... great spot for a bit of everything.
