Hello 👋 my outdoors friend, greetings from Northern California. Thank you for sharing your solo outdoor adventure camping 🏕 adventure. Take good care of yourself and stay safe out there.
If you’re using a blow up sleeping mat/bed in colder months or on damp ground. Put a space blanket or other insulation layer under it to stop the cold from damp/cold ground. Then they work fine and you won’t get cold.
Congrats on the driving Danni, my wife passed 4th time and she is an awesome driver! Really enjoying the videos and content, superb. Just put my order in and looking forward to checking out the book! 👍
I recon you’re absolutely blooming marvellous, a real joy to watch & unwind, ready for the graft ahead. Yes, mugwort gives a lucid dream if steeped to long, but find it gives a false sleep.
New here Danni and I must say I enjoyed that end to end - you are a down-to-earth nature lover who inspires. Busy at first but hey we like people but we also like our solitude. A lovely pitch it must be said - I always love the morning reveal. What have we got outside? It looked magic. Well, a good breaky there. Nothing better. All the best. Mark
Thanks for sharing Danni! I envy your knowledge of plants. I love camping, however I need to educate myself with more edibles and healers. Respect from Florida USA 🌴
Me and one of my ex army mates wild camped the peak district last week it was well good 👍🏻 I tested out me new Nevis 100 as I usually hammock when I’m out and it was awesome ! Nice video btw 👍🏻
Wow, hi Danni, been waiting for years for a new video. Sorry to hear about the car incident, hope you're OK 👍. My mushroom 🍄 sorties have been abject failures. Keep the videos coming please 🙏. ❤
Thanks for sticking with me! I have a few things on the editing pile but I don’t think I’ll get round to them until the end of October now 🥲 I’ll be sharing some reels and posts until then 🫶🏼😃
Thermarest trail lite mats are self inflating just open the valve and leave it for 10 minutes. Might need a breath or 2 depending on how firm you want it. Top vid, Nice one!
Hello Danni, from NZ, enjoying your video, very much so. As a guide and bushcraft instructor I was very interested in the plants that you were showing. On a day trip in our forests, a good student can remember the names of up to 40 plants, but not their full use. When they know the names and can identify them then I will take them through their usage. Your 'Birch Polypore' is much like one that we have over here, we call it "the Artist palette", with a small stick, one can write a message or draw on it. I think that you would like it over here for the plants (and of course the scenery). ATB Cheers from the mountains of NXZ 😊😊
Thank you so much for your message! That’s so awesome to hear about your trips and impressive student memory - you must be an engaging teacher! We call the fungi you can draw beneath the ‘artists bracket’ - it is perhaps the ‘mushroom’ I have known the longest and have fond childhood memories of laying beneath them and sketching the tree canopy above me 🌳 thank you for sharing your stories!
Please let me explain....I say separate them..pull them off the branch.. drop them in a pan of water..skuoop out The floaters.roast the rest and they will keep.. protein n oils . other vitamins.. Berry's to make jam.christmas pudding are all things we need in winter for good health. Love n best wishes kiddo you don't realise how strong a Chanel U have.i will throw my bits in .if you don't mind. Xxx
ah looks like Lawrencefield not a long walk from owler tor/car paark :) but if you went to the top of mothercap/surprise view would of got a nice open 360 view of the area. ive camped on surprise view and iit was a beautfuil night!
Great video. I'm really familiar with the peak district. Many good bilberry areas in the moorland. Apparently there was quite the market for bilberry back in Victorian times in the peak district.n. Some really beautiful places. Will be out scouting for mushrooms soon😊
really random how I came across your channel and I'm not sure but I also know "Ginger Jo", maybe a coincidence, she comes to my gong baths in Preston. Anyhow, enjoying your wisdom!
Great video, i love my peace n quiet too lol😅, wild blueberries are incredible😋, most of the one's in the store's nowadays are really bland and quite expensive too!😂✌️
Hi, loving your channel and your videos are great. Just dropped you a sub and looking forward to seeing more adventures, thanks from a fellow UA-camr 😉👍
@@danniinthewild early too danni I actually got my first 150 or so at the end of July, they’ve slowed down a bit now tho. Waiting for October and a good amount of rain. 😀🍄. Brilliant channel you have by the way. Very informative
I can understand a walk or a small journey by day, but spending night in a tent, alone in the wild, a girl/woman, no gun, how your husband is ok with that is beyond me (unless you live in a very safe country). But I appreciate the positivity and channel content.
She lives in the UK. Only people who might have a gun (usually an old shotgun) would be the farmers and they are generally kind and helpful. So, she's safe enough.
I love the British views when heather blooms..!🥹 We had the most wonderful hike this summer on Grey Mares Tail trail, which was magnificent and I strongly recommend it for all!
I hate a love / hate relationship with the vast Heather coverings here but it’s not their fault and how could you not adore them in bloom this time of year? Absolutely magnificent! 💜💜💜💜

Thank you - enjoyed your video. Like the way you identify so many interesting edible plants. 😊
Thanks Andrew! Though this is why I’m not a hiker… I never end up getting anywhere for all the plants! 😄
What fun! Thanks for sharing! 🌿
Wonderful vidio. Thankyou ❤
Use a walking stick when walking around around /in water. It's a great feeler for conditions.
I discovered your channel from this video. Great job ,keep them coming... you have a new subscriber!
We love you danni in the wild. Keep those vids coming.

Nice one Danni, Bilberries for breakfast. Sweet! Stay safe.x
Thnks for the lovely video.
Ah ticks, horrible creatures. I purposely try to avoid the long grass ect where they lurk
You’re a wonderful and beautiful woman.
Wish I had some one like you with like minded ideas.
You are a great person .
Wish you all the best xx
I really enjoyed your video, beautifully connected to nature.

Lovely video and well done for doing this by yourself 🎉

Yes, mugwort gives a lucid dream if steeped to long, but find it gives a false sleep.
Mugwort? Interesting! I suppose the effects are similar to nutmeg, isn't it?
Is it considered toxic?
loved the foraging knowledge
I love October, I've been out a few times getting sweet chestnuts, i live near Blean woods in Kent, ❤
Interesting 👍
Weird I camped around there a couple months back, almost same
Spot. Also foraged some Bilberries..

Thank you so much for your message! Yes same here, love my solitude - perhaps a little too much at times 😄 I hope you’ve had a lovely week 🙌🏼
Awesome seeing someone exploring and camping in the peaks 😊 Im wild camping there next week myself 😁
Be very careful! I have run into quite a few angry grumpkins while camping in that area.

Cool 😃I love blueberries so I'll make sure I try some Bilberries 👍
Tic-Vill, Ha Ha, wish I knew where that was they always seem to get me.
I been told a little bit of meths rubbed in helps
The last couple years have been pretty bad for ticks, they seem to be on the rise perhaps with the warm winters not killing as many off as usual ❄️
Do a kickflip!!! 😉 Big love from C.Curtis
