    Dear Tony I have been waiting for a comparison between CLP 685 and CSP-170. Please would you do that? That would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

    Dear Tony, but everything you play sounds good as you're such a good pianist.

    How noisy is the mechanics of those two? I need a piano which is as silent as possible becaus i play with open headphones and my current portable grand dgx-630 is killing me with its loud "thumbs"

    Hi Tony, I’m just wondering which model digital piano from the Yamaha Calvinova series would be most suitable for players doing Grade 8and after that too?

    • @bonnersmusic
      @bonnersmusic  6 років тому

      Of the Clavinova Series, the best in the range is the Flagship CLP685. This is the only model that has the counterweights within the wooden key action, making for an authentic acoustic piano feel and response, which as a pianist of an advanced level, you would notice and appreciate. Your are able to try out this model and many others at either of our piano showrooms (Eastbourne, South Coast, or Reigate, London M25).

    Hi Tony, how are you?
    I’ve been planning to buy the Roland lx 17 for a while, but after Yamaha new clp 685 an its new features I’m not sure anymore.
    Help me: I’ll play at home for some friends and family, I won’t do any professional playing I just want a really good sound/speakers and a good keyboard (wood). Tks

      I would advise coming to visit us in one of our showrooms to try them all out side by side. There is no manufacturer that is better than the other, however, they all feel and sound very different to each other. It is a question of personal taste, then it is a question of features to suit your needs throughout the different models. In both of our stores we have the Roland LX17, the Kawai CS11, Yamaha CLP685 & Casio GP500 on display to try. Come and see our Piano specialists who will be happy to talk you through the different features.

    Good Video. Which piano would you recommend to a beginner?

    • @agaveboy
      @agaveboy 4 роки тому

      Hi Patrick. Are you looking for a Yamaha? If so, the P45, P125 and DGX-660 are good for beginners. Once you have more skill (over a year) you should move to pianos with better sampling and keys (such as the YDP-S54, P515 or a Clavinova). I can help you if you reply with your budget and what you want out of a piano.

    It's an amazing piano. Nice keys. Good volume. Rich sound.
    The speakers on the CLP685 are overpowered. They make noise, during silent moments.
    One can hear the *electric noise in the speakers,* when on full volume. Apart from that it's a very nice piano.
    Kawai CA98 is a good pal of this Yamaha model, but it can not be disassembled. It has very natural sound, but one has to transport it like a small sofa.

    Dear tony, I have watched few videos of your channel today. Thanks for sharing information to us. I watched the video that you compared clp 685 and kawai. I was very surprised by how heavy clp685 keys are! After watched this video, I really want to buy clp685. Your videos are so informative Thanks!
    But unfortunately clp685 is little expensive than my budget😭😭😭 . Are there any other keyboards as heavy as clp685 or somewhat similar to clp685?
    I am a piano performance major college student so I prefer heavy keys.
    But also at the same time, I am broke and poor because I am college student 😂
    I am looking for the keyboard for my dorm ..😂😂...

      Thank you for your Comment! I would recommend popping into one of our stores so that you can compare the models in the flesh. The Yamaha's do tend to have a heavier action than many of the other models available on the market, but you may prefer the speed and response on other models. Fell free to contact us via the website if you would like more advise on these models from our Piano Specialists, call us on 01323 636140, or please pop into one of our stores.

    Hi dear Tony, I have a quick question, I'm considering to buy a CLP635, will I ever need to upgrade to another digital piano before getting a real acoustic one? if so how many years will I be able to practice on the CLP635 and in what grade will I feel the need to upgrade?
    thanks in advance

    • @bonnersmusic
      @bonnersmusic  6 років тому +5

      Hi Masoud, The CLP635 has a plastic key action. As a rule, digital pianos with a plastic key action are not as good at recreating the feel and response of an acoustic piano, compared to digital pianos with a wooden hammer action. Although these pianos still feel wonderful to play. These pianos would typically be fine up to a Grade 5/6 level.
      The next models up in the Clavinova Series, the CLP645, CLP675 and CLP685, have a wooden key action, and as a result are more suitable up to Grade 8 due to the nature and complexity of the pieces required at these levels. They are able to produce a more realistic feel and response compared to an acoustic piano.
      You can try all of these at either of our piano showrooms at Reigate (off the M25, London) or Eastbourne (South Coast).

      Bonners Music Superstore is the 675 really so much better than the 635 or 645? I have read that the key touch is to heavy without the counterweight? Normally in a good piano a key must not be more than 50g and it is about 60 g for the 675?
