When I made the "5 Must-Try Tacos in San Diego, California" video, everyone told me that I had to cross over the border and try the "real" tacos in Tijuana, Mexico. As a man of the people, I listened!
Over the course of one full-on gluttonous day of eating, Daniel, Humberto, and I went out to discover the best tacos Tijuana, Mexico has to offer. This is definitely one of the best things to do in Tijuana if you ever make the trip! Maybe just pace yourself.
We started the day with Birria tacos with bone marrow. I still think about these tacos when I wake up in the morning.
Next we went for chile relleno tacos in downtown Tijuana. These were an entire meal in one brave tortilla. Rice, beans, stuffed pepper, scrambled eggs, and all the salsas on this beast.
From Tijuana's city hall location, we went to Tacos A Vapor (steamed tacos) for some potato and chicharron tacos in Tijuana's Otay area. These are similar to tacos de canasta (basket tacos) in Mexico City and other places around Mexico.
After Tacos a Vapor, it was over to El Mazateño, one of Tijuana's best places to eat seafood tacos like the spicy shrimp and crispy octopus taco (with cheese)!
We took a quick taco timeout for sweet raspados (Mexican shaved ice), and then went to Tacos "La Glorieta" in the Solar neighborhood of Tijuana.
Last but certainly not least, one of the most popular taco recommendations in Tijuana, Mexico was Tacos El Franc for Adobada and Carne Asada tacos.
The perfect finish to this incredible day of Mexican Street Food here in Tijuana!!
Stay tuned for more videos from Tijuana, Mexico coming up next Friday!!

Oh how I miss Mexican food, I’m a Mexican/American living in the province of Abra in Philippines and Mexican ingredients let alone Mexican food is non existent. Now I’m really craving tacos after seeing you eat all that deliciousness wrapped in tortillas. 🇲🇽🇺🇸🇵🇭💕
Tacos in the Philippines have mayo.

Mexican food are very rare especially in Asia, I always wanna try them, but they're so difficult to find
Next time you stop by will treat you to mom's Mexican feast. Includes: Pozole, BBQ, biria, stuffed chiles and enchiladas!🤙🏿🤙🏿
It's barely 8am, but am seriously considering tacos for breakfast whyyyy gareth do u do us this way🤯😜🙃😋
Hahaha, I'm so sorry... but I think you should go get some tacos! 😃
Like in Mexico it's normal eat tacos at 4 or 5 am i miss that from friends taco trucks!
We eat this way in Tijuana all the time
Your visceral reaction to the bone butter taco is exactly the type of pleasantly positive and pants-droppingly amazing reaction everyone should experience first hand in Mexico at least once in your life. I’m being completely honest when I say there is an ENDLESS amount of these types of culinary atom bombs all over the country. You know how here in the states many cities have that one iconic food item (Philly cheesesteak, LA Bacon Streetdog, NYC pizza)? Well in Mexico that is turned up to ELEVEN. Because every city not only has their iconic item, they practically have their own cuisine altogether. And it’s so regional because many of those items are made with ingredients oftentimes only found in that city or region. For example Oaxacan cuisine and their iconic pambazo sandwich, Mexico City and their queso-optional quesadillas, pastes from Pachuca that were literally introduced by British silver mine workers decades ago, tortas ahogadas from Guadalajara that range from 0% spicy mild to xxxtreme atomic death sauce soaked pork sandwich, and it just goes on and on and on and on…
Aha! For once I wasn't about to die of starvation while watching your video because 4 days ago I had to go downtown to get some preop tests done and well TacoTown is right there so I got some Tacos Birrias to go and ate one in my Jeep between appointments. Then took the other two home and had one each of the next two days at work for lunch! So freaking good! And now a day later my happy taco sated self, for a few days, could actually watch your video without squirming, scratching at myself and acting like a drug addict in withdraw! Tacos are my favorite food and you just prove I live in the wrong place for that addiction! Keep searching for the best tacos! And thanks for all you do and share!
I was waiting for this. Tacos from Mexico! ❤🌮🤤
YESSS!! 😃 🌮
Love the remark, "The chicharron of the sea".
Congrats on crossing 400K subscribers, my man! Well deserved!! And talk about an ultimate taco tour...I've never had bone marrow, but that first one really makes me want to try it someday. Not gonna lie, this video had my mouth watering from beginning to end. Great work, as always!
Thank you so much Brandon, I truly appreciate your continued support my friend. 👊

My family makes it a mission to eat at Tacos El Franc every time we go to TJ ever since I was a little kid. It's been over 20 years easily. I don't know their names but the original workers always recognize us and are super awesome.
Super cool to see how huge their business has gotten too. We used to go anytime after opening and there was never a line with parking easily available right on front. That was a looong time ago. They were also featured in the Asada episode of The Taco Chronicles series on Netflix.
That's awesome! Man, I would love to be known as a "regular" there! 😂
Gareth, the look on your face as your eyes widened sooo much with the first bite of the birria\ marrow taco was priceless....👍 I enjoy your vlogs and Instas so much. Thank you
