Tq so much. I have been practicing doing streaches and all and I could not do the forward fold. But just now after watching ur video I can do it. Just have to bend my knee a bit. Tqq
Great job! Keep it up and you'll be able to without bent knees in no time (and even if you bend the knees forever, still OK!)

Forward folds soothe the nervous system and encourage introspection.
Forward folds tone and stimulate the internal organs. I did a brief video that explains it all in a nutshell
It becomes easier with practice. I couldn't touch my toes and now I can, and stay there for 10-12 seconds. However, I cannot do the fold. I can just touch the toes with my fingers.

This is too funny. Today I was following along to one of your 30 day yoga challenge videos (I do yoga with you every day even though I completed the 30 day yoga challenge quite a while ago ha you are my favorite) and I was doing forward folds and I noticed in the mirror next to me I didn't look the same as you haha I kept looking in the mirror trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. This video helped a lot! Thanks! I would love to see how to properly do pigeon pose in a video! :)

When I do that or try to touch my toes something in the back of my ankle pulls and hurts so I can't touch my toes or do the forward fold with out something in the back of my ankle pulling and hurting

Can i do this pose if I have rods in my back, and my vertebrae fused? Also I've been trying, but I can't seem to keep my back from curving. I just can't figure out how to start my bend at my hips. Any suggestions?

It is scientifically proven that your body changes as you sleep! so, this makes total sense. Just takes a bit more stretching in the morning.

@@badyogitv Yes daily short workouts cured my chronic asthma. I became a belly breather.
With this method asthma could be wiped out. A similar approach is belly breathing in the Papworth Method, see studies. Addiction to sprays could be a problem.
Doctors say that asthma is multifactorial, but think of Ockhams Razor.
My asthma came with mouth breathing weakening the diaphragm and went by training with uttanasana.
Why does this hurt more in my calves and around my knees than in my hamstrings?
It probably means your calves are a little tighter than your hamstrings. Both get stretched in a forward bend, that move affects the whole back of the leg. And these muscles are basically connected at the knee, so that's probably what you feel.
Back off a little, if you feel it too much behind your knee, you don't want to overstretch the tendons there. Try to make it so that you rather feel the stretch in the middle of the muscle. Hope that helps a little. :)
I’m the only one that still can do it because it’s hurt so much? And even if my back is straight , when I get forward it’s not straight at all,can someone tell me why?
Sometimes we have underlying issues that make it hurt (lower back, tight hips, tight hamstrings). Just go where it doesn't hurt and try bending your knees quite a bit.
