Great info. I am right by you in Smyrna and it's a tough balance between large cleanups and continuing with maintenance. Praying for this storm to pass smoothly
I may not do any leaf cleanups this year, just don’t have the setup. A few years back I would mow weekly all the way through the end of the leaf season. This would allow me to mulch as we went and kinda stay ahead. If it took me over the allotted time I had set for the mowing I would charge my per man hour rate after that. I let all my customers know that before hand.
@@ThatCrazyGrassGuy I think that is some good sound advice although if you can catch the leaves with your current set up when they’re real dry, you probably be surprised how well that little mower could mulch. I wonder if you could adapt another blade to that mower that is an actual mulching blade.
I have a certain time allotted for my mowing charge. For leaves, once I pass that threshold it’s $1 per minute I’m there. So if I do an $80 yard and I go over the allotted time 25 minutes to get leaves mulched up, it’s $105 for that service.Thoughts?
@@gcturfpros I like that it’s a guaranteed income plus it protects you if you take longer than you thought it would. is that something you tell your customers beforehand or do you just Calculator it in give them the charge accordingly?
Oak trees are nice for about 8 months out of the year!!😅
Until you are falling over a foot of nuts everywhere 😮
We just spent 14 hours removing leafs on a 1 acre property.. im leaning to a hourly rate.. dont want to blow the socks off the customer
That’s with drive time dumping multiple loads at dump. Any leaf removal experts please share what kind of pricing works for you

Wow! That's good money for leaves, I've never got that much, I'm around 100-150
@@upscalelawncaremonroe408 yeah people pay pretty good PENNY around here for stuff like that.

I hate doing leaves. It's nasty and it's hard on equipment. I lose money on leaves because I'm too stupid to raise my rates.

@@GwinnettLawns They know as I tell them, when they come aboard as a customer how I charge for leaves
And of course if I have a helper, it’s $2 bucks per minute
