- The entire industry and island of Ibiza is sad to be seeing the closing of Space Ibiza this year. Founder Pepe Roselló sat with Carl Cox and Lynn Cosgrave to discuss fond memories of the iconic club in honor of its legacy.

Dear Pepe & Carl, Space Ibiza was the sound I looked for after I got into Techno Music. I bought a few used CD's at my Deaf Ear record store made by Space Ibiza. As a true fan I must ask you to make a complete anthology CD set as well as a DVD for Space Ibiza. Your Music has been the best Techno EDM ever. The new concrete pounding EDM & that other form where it sounds like the Transformer Robots fighting over & over I dislike that. Carl Cox sets are great. I wish Space Ibiza was a franchise Bar & I owned one. The steel drum & a little guitar made EDM exclusive to Ibiza, & will always be the best style. I like DJ.Tobias Base very much but he doesn't offer that Ibiza feel I love so very, very much. God bless you Mr.Pepe I see he truly has, & thankyou for useing top sound equipment. Like the beat of our heart true, honest, & real feelin for sound music expretion. You sir have been the Angel. Love & peace.
Pro tip: if you're ever asked to appear on a discussion panel, don't drink a bottle of wine beforehand. The result is that you'll end up wankered, shouting and interrupting the other speakers.
Having said that, Pepe and Carl have left a real legacy in Ibiza. I was very emotional watching some of the coverage of the closing party and felt afterwards that I should have gone over for it. Even though I never attended during the halcyon days of the original terrace, I can completely relate to that feeling of freedom and happiness associated with that space. Long live Space Ibiza!
