But there is absolutely no comparison when it comes to quality interior appointments, super quiet interior, and almost no wind and road noise. Unbelievable for the money I paid. Apple CarPlay really nullifies any issues with the infotainment.
I wish other companies were like Mazda. Something I keep seeing from your reviews on their cars is how honest they are, like they're not scamming people with making cars with nice materials but with bad quality. They exterior always looks extremely handsome and the interior is genuinely amazing with good reliability AND it's affordable. You really do get it all with this car and orher Mazdas except for the brand name which is annoying that people care so much for the brand name that they disregard anything that isn't an automatic status symbol even if it's a better product. The snobbery of it all 😆, but I love this review I wish more ppl give Mazda credit like you do
The Mazda6 is like my first choice for a “normal” sedan now that they offer the 2.5T. One of these with some nice grippy tires and coilovers would be amazing.
Great review bro! The Mazda 6 & Camry are my favorite midsized mainstream sedans. I love all the premium touches & features offered in them both. But the 6 just takes it to another level. Yea Honda Accord is def a very solid choice by far the best handling hands down and very spacious its a pragmatic choice, Mazda 6 is a unique offering for sure I go back and forth all the time. Congrats my friend!

Definitely agree. Previously had a 2016 Mazda 6 but had to upgrade to the 2021 CX5 because I needed the turbo and AWD for the Canadian winter ❄️. Never had to do any other maintenance than oil changes in 5 years. The quality you get for the price is just unmatched. They just need to improve their tech and info system

Love this colour combo and the 2.5T added to it no turbo lag... such a refinement... much prefer this than competitors... only I find Mazda 3 hatch pp more appealing to my liking... nonetheless great craftmanship!!
bought a 2018 GT and I love it....was the year they did the refresh and it makes the car feel like night and day compared to older models. Thing rides like a beauty and definitely has that executive feel but with out the executive price tag!

But then again, the 3 has the AWD and would handle better and safer in rain and snow. What do you think about the comparison? I'm so torn. In terms of looks, I think the 6 Carbon wins too.

First things first. Merry Christmas 2022. I decided to retro watch some M6 vids in anticipation of the possibility of a new 6 hitting our shores soon. I am super excited for a straight 6 as we used to call this type of engine. I wonder how my 64 mercy comet with the 3 on the tree (in line 6) would have felt with a turbo. My point is they were super strong motors that just ran and ran. Not particularly fast but you you could not break it. I just may be in the market for a new Mazda. Depends on $ing. Regarding SUVs..... I currently own GS IV gen, CRV IIIgen, MX-5 ND2 and Volvo S60R manual. The only reason I want to get rid of my GS is that I don’t drive it anymore (due to Covid I do home office) even though It’s a great car. Simply, my wife does not want to drive something bigger that the CRV in European smaller roads. And I understand her. So for me. Having MX-5 as daily and fun car plus S60R which keeps its value and serves as a great highway and snowy purpose (due to AWD) car, I am more likely to look to get rid of GS and CRV and exchange for the NX or CX-5...because such cars are much smaller as GS or Mazda 6 for city drive yet as big inside to serve family purposes... And this is why people choose SUVs instead of sedans.... and yes NX in comparison to GS feels very cheap... but... NX/ CX-5 is far more versatile.
Hello Kevin. I need to vent. I watched a lot of car videos for ten years, while I had my prizm LSI. When that broke, I had four days to make a purchase in 2016. i wanted the best midsize sedan, particularly for reliability and handling. I got the 2017 accord touring black on black with the V6. I couldn't afford the car and for four and a half years, I made payments. I paid it off last week and it has 26k miles. But then I saw this video yesterday and watched it several times. My brain wants me to go buy one right now and I'm feeling obsessive. I noticed in many of these comments, there's interest in the 9th generation accord V6. Can you be a friend and talk me out of trading in my accord for this carbon edition? Or would you make the trade and have car payments again? What I like the most about this car is the steering wheel. I hope this comment sparks some interest.
Never my friend you have yourself a V6 gem of a motor in arguably the best looking Accord bodystyle. Most importantly IT'S PAID OFF so no more payments for you! You're finally done with car debt and your car is reliable with hardly any miles. The Mazda 6 is not worth it in your position and the Mazda isn't perfect as I mentioned there is torque steer and won't sound as good as that V6 Accord. Only main advantage you will gain is refinement and interior which in your position is not worth another car payment. Keep your car as your car is a keeper, save up your cash maybe try and retire early. Best of luck sir

The Mazda 6 Grand Touring is actually the cheapest way to get their 2.5T engine new. I've seen em on Autotrader as low as $26k whereas the cheapest I've seen the Mazda 3 Turbo is $29k. I've also seen the Mazda 6 Grand Touring Reserve (which has ventilated seats) for $28k. Not everyone needs AWD or wants every single option, they messed up by not making a "bargain" Mazda 3 Turbo. The Mazda 6 is a way better bargain for the money.
Yes I did notice the Mazda6 is one of the cheapest ways of getting the Turbo motor just wish they gave it AWD from the 3 because I hate the way the wheels peel out when you floor it in the 6...too much power for the front wheels only
I've heard the polymetal grey + red combo described as a giant blueberry. I think the reason so many manufacturers are doing an industrial grey+red interior combo it seems to be a kind of pre-cyberpunk design movement we're seeing immerge.
I still have mine, 230k and still rolling. It’s been an amazing car. Still quiet, smooth and very reliable . I will keep it and purchase the Mazda 6 signature in the next few months . I still have my 93 B2200 and it has 120k on it .
Kevin do you think with Toyota and Mazda working together now do you think this will help their sales a bit more and did you notice any technology or built difference with this model in comparison to the previous that maybe showing both companies are sharing things ?
So build quality has been the same since Mazda left Ford, its a full Japanese company now and the vehicles are solid. I'm not sure if working with Toyota will help Mazda sales since the average non car person wouldn't even know. I think Mazda needs to really improve their marketing game because their commercials right now are trash. But they're doing all the right things with their products

Nice review, interesting to hear you rate the auto box. Here in England all reviews slate the auto box and say to avoid it like the plague. I’m disappointed Mazda didn’t upgrade the infotainment on this but did in the new cx5 update. But the bigger disappointment is I very much doubt England will get the next 6.
Severely puzzled as to why you called the Accord a "Tin Can", unless you were taking about a much older generation. The Accord is as roomy, refined and well balanced as any car in the class and has been since the introduction of the 9th gen. This Mazda has been obsolete for some time and essentially is just a layer cake refresh.
Here is a fact about Mazda’s in NY. Allstate insurance company will only insure Mazda vehicles in accidents with after market parts. If they can’t get the Chinese’s part . They are totaling out cars, I spend my early retirement days hanging in my friends body shop Weird stuff today

Yea I think I would go for a Turbo 3 Hatch I know its small but the AWD makes a big difference in driving although I personally prefer large sedans

The carbon edition only comes in polymetal grey because it's special edition. But all the other regular trims are available in jet black mica.

Idk dude people very unrealistic expectations of normal cars. People dont make enough for a 6 figure supercar but they want speed, 50 mpg, a low rider, and a jet with Italian leather interior for $25k
