All the lights I have bought from China (tens of them) only 1 ever had a problem. I don't know how you manage to get 3 faulty ones, but I'm suspecting pressing "some buttons" hoping something comes up isn't the best option. Have a look at the manual...
You should see some of the stuff sinbosen and TPA put out in china, shockingly good clones. I've owned a Sinbosen Lab clone, quality shocked me quite frankly, build quality was solid as were the components
First you have to realize, china is where japan was in the 60's and 70's. They are coming up and coming up fast. They are getting better and better every day, and even beat america in quite a few manufacturing sectors. Just like in america, there are a lot of crap companies and you need to look out for them. You can find broker companies that will do all the hard work for you and find you a good company, for a fee. I personally have found some top quality items for b rate prices. The company I get all my laser stuff from even tests everything before sending it out. So if you have a bad product, it's a fluke or was damaged in shipping. Just randomly buying from any no name is a bad idea period, anywhere in the world even america. Most chinese companies see america as one of two things, we either want the cheapest crap we can get or we want affordable good quality. If you want to be seen as a top notch buyer, you need to contact them personally, an tell them, or through your broker. I found all the laser stuff ( from single diodes to complete items) I was buying for 3 times the price, was bought from china and was the exact same stuff I am getting from a wholesaler in china. Not only did I test this company, an told them I want quality at a good price, But I also blind tested them with someone else buying from them in another state. They told me their results, and I compared to mine, both perfect. Then I let the money train rip. I order a big lot this time. They even called me personally to ask If everything arrived in good condition and not damaged in shipping. They personalize my orders and customize my items, for even cheaper than off the shelf I was buying and moding myself. I am now a loyal customer to that company, I won't even look elsewhere. They treat me like my business matters to them. Something I didn't feel like I was getting with the inflated prices from american suppliers. Just talk to the companies in email or by phone, an you will get treated better. Otherwise they think you just want the cheapest crap you can get and a large quantity of it, so you can push it.
As a kid I used to have crappy china dj lights and I got my first real light called chauvet mini kinta it was the original one it didn’t have the irc it was the best
Bought an ADJ Fog Fury 2000 fogger last year in June, and Im now going on it's third pump. Terrible fogger, should have just bought the Eliminator fogger you love so much instead.
hey there Marcus I just saw your comment about this yes American DJ and Elations their lights are made in China yes they are because we have no production in the US means no factories to make them but they must follow strict protocols and strict regulations to make these lights the way American DJ designs them they have to be tough and strong to stand abuse and that's why the made in China
Mike I lost a lot of respect for you in this video...I have four of those very same PAR lights from China paid 12 bucks each for them...yea they will do that if you set them to do that...they are also sound active and master/slave and dmx Ordered many items from China always thru Ebay never a problem and if it is a problem Ebay will make it right quick and you keep the defective/wrong one free and ya don't send it back to China.
Frustrated... That's it. Those lights at half price hit hard in his sales... 😅 I use China lights at my gigs for about 3 years with DMX software ... All good.. At reasonable price.
The amount of times Dave said china...he started to sound like trump. And even the big brands can screw up, I bought two Chauvet Mini Kintas and one came dead on arrival and the other the red leds simply didn't work.
DDSE|DDSE Events well....the difference is Chauvet stands behind their production. you dont have to spend tbe cost of the light to ship it back.....then wait a month to maybe get a working one. it isnt china, it is the quality control for many products they shop from there that dont stand behind what they sell. he stated he has nothi g against China, it is some of the shoody products that come out of there that he takes issue with...
Thanks for posting - always wondered why stuff from China was so cheap - B stock defective to expensive to send back - glad I've not ordered from them !!!
dude...that mini kintia you think is so great....i bought one and its been replaced 2 times. no need to try for a 3rd. only used this light once. have had it since it first came out. I bought one of those $20 lights that you say aren't any good from china and have been using it ever since. I guess its time Chauvet start making their product in America again. Or did they ever make any here? I'd rather buy American, but when it made in china....you take your chances either way!

I got lights out of China. And they are great. And cheap. Brand is called Alien. Highly recommend it.
whether it is cheap or expensive, good quality or junk, it depends on the market. Time will tell, it is the survival of the fittest.

Buying lights from China can be a good idea. I’m gonna get some lights from the company that made the XS series from ADJ
Which manufacturer is that?

YOU'RE BACK!!!
Isn't ADJ and Chauvet lights all made in China?

Sometimes they're not even in English, or poorly translated. Sometimes they don't even come with instructions.
