NOTE: As the video title suggests, this full fight is between Superman and Darkseid ONLY! That means, Kara's fight is OMITTED in this clip! I hope I made myself clear!

I like how superman tells him don't come here again or you won't be going back as if he was the one kicking butt. When the only reason superman lived is because supergirl opened that portal.

I like how superman's clothes got ripped and burnt by darkseid's omega beam but kara's clothes are mostly completely fine when she took a full omega beam.

This is one my absolute favorite animated Superman fights. It's not in a populated area, and the enemy is just as powerful as Superman so he can finally use his higher tier of powers without worrying. That underground attack and the tornado combo were awesome!

this is honestly one of the best animated fights scene ever, it uses all three of their powers to the fullest and is a no hold barred smash em in the face fight.

You got to love how at 1:40 Darksied was pretty much like "All in a days work" lol.
Holy crap, Superman is a badass. He is one of like two or three beings to ever survive Darkseid's Omega beams, and he withstood a point blank blast for several seconds. I'm pretty sure he's the only being to ever do that. And to all the Darkseid fans, yes Darkseid is insanely over powered and awesome, and his omega beams could kill superman, but in DC one million Darkseid tries to penetrate the source wall and is killed, his body and soul forced to always be a part of the Wall and to guard it.
That beam color & frequency slow superman down a bit but can't actually kill him.

They dont use their xray vision all the time. Its like laser vision, they dont constantly use it.
Superman likes to try and be human, which also involves him acting normal when he isnt fighting crime.
If that house was built before the 50s it’s probably covered in lead paint.

This has to be like the best Superman/Darkseid fight I've seen on TV. In the Bruce Timm versions their fights always seemed more like an aggressive boxing match with only a few powers being used.
Here, they went all out. Superman using everything he has, his strength, his speed, his heat vision. And Darkseid being just as invulnerable as him just makes the fight better.
And that combo Supes does at 2:50 and 3:03 was AWESOME!
Hollywood take notes. THIS is how a Superman movie should be!
Damn. That was brutal. I mean not normal brutal, but "HOLY SH*T THAT WAS BRUTAL!" brutal.
In the comic upon which this movie is based on, when Supes comes back to the farm he finds the whole Justice League rebuilding the farm in a few minutes, with Batman buying the tractor and that kind of stuff. So.. um, yeah, Bat always pays for these kind of things.

When I first saw this movie, I totally thought the movie was over when Clark was taking Kara to his home in Kansas. I did NOT see that fight coming!

I was at comic-con and saw the trailer for the new Superman movie and it looks incredible, very different compared to any other Superman movie.

Throwing him to his power source is exactly what not to do when you fight your arch nemesis.
As a krytonian, Supes cell structure is extremely dense (which makes me wonder why he isn't much heavier) and probably incorporates some kind of exotic matter that is immune to omega beams.
Superman then penetrates the wall, getting past the many god like beings such as Darkseid relatively easily. He obtains some of the power of the Source of the. Multiverse, and becomes probably the second most powerful being ever to live (next to the Source). His skin becomes golden, he can create and destroy universes with his mind, his previous powers are several googolplex's times more powerful than before, and he still uses all hat power for the good of innocents. That is why I love Superman.

I dont know the name of Supermans Voice actor but he is my favorite since he has done it for YEARS as long as i can remember just like Batmans voice actor.
Yeah, very smart of Darkseid, throwing a solar-powered being like Superman into the sun.
The voice for this Darkseid is awesome, much better then the Justice League voice; it has more character. I also liked his voice in Batman: Brave and the Bold.

It was a great scene in the graphic novel as well, but I like how the animated version gave Supergirl a real moment of badassery in beating up Darkseid.
Okay, I've been a hardcore Marvel fan since childhood and never really gave DC any chance, but I gotta admit...that was pretty effin' awesome.

As I said before, Barry's been shown to operate at high speeds: He was shown in milliseconds having a full conversation with Captain Atom, not to mention when his brain taps into the speed force in order to gain high speeds, he can see things before it happens.
Speedsters still have superhuman durability, they've been able to take punches from characters on par with Superman's level. They're durability may not be on par with Supes, but they still have superhuman durability...

I agree. It's easier to go Over the Top in fights with animation than it is in live action. And let's face it, in a battle of superbeings of Superman and Darkseid's caliber, Over the Top is the only way to go

Darkseid is the shit. I love how he pulled the same "blow you're laser up in your face" technique that superman used in the show. That was probably Darkseids happiest moment in the fight. That and when he booted the crap out of both superman and supergirl.
I remember watching this thinking "What? No fight with Darkseid?!"
Then he punched a hole through Ma Kent's door and I was pleased.

Well, disregarding the scientific inaccuracies due to his speed force that probably accounts for his unbelievable traction, the main problem that many have is his fluctuating velocity and power inconsistency. He can travel faster than the speed of light allowing him to travel through time, invisibility, transdimensional travel, yet in the comics, he was just a part of the team. Here, he is a lot slower, but shows he is hypersonic (at an average pace), vibration phase so that objects EXPLODE!
If she didn't distract Darkseid with the boom tube,he wouldn't have stopped,meaning Superman wouldn't get that opening.You're right,Superman tanked like a beast,but he wouldn't have survived if it weren't for Kara.And btw,in the comics,there was no fight with her,a single hit vaporized her,so Superman is basically tanking something that instantly kills a Kryptonian.It kinda help having Rao as your ancestor,lol.

This isn't the full fight. They cut out the whole passage, where that girl fights Darkseid. It's directly after Darkseid shoots Superman into space. And the Battle they cut out is abolutely AWESOME...much more cooler than the battle between Superman and Darkseid.

True enough but I think they changed it because most viewers more familiar with the animated shows wouldn't know what the Source wall was and without that prior knowledge Superman trapping Darkseid there would have seemed like a Deus Ex Machina
In short, whether in the comics or DCAU, unless the plot demands it, he will likely be the first to be trashed by the villain of the day since he can accelerate to the opponents faster than the rest.

I really wish they made an awesome animated fight between Superman and Zod in these movies. If they made an animated version of Superman: Last Son with a tough Superman and awesome fights with Zod, Non, and Bizarro (who are all in the book), that would satisfy me. Be much better than that All-Star Superman they release some time ago.
