However, because he isn't malicious, Saitama allows Goku time to recover on several occasions because he was starting to have fun again. He forced Goku to go beyond his limits while Goku forced him to actually go all out.
The fact that this guy made 40+ full minutes of animation of this quality, colored all of it, and edited nearly all of it with amazing sound effects and voices is beyond me. As much stupid crazy and wacky stuff happened, the sheer dedication and quality of this finished product is so so outstanding

I had no idea that there was Fan Animation that was this good out there. This is truly amazing. Animation, sounds, voices, storyline...everything is masterful. I just found this channel and I love it.
I'm 5 minutes in but i gotta say this: THE NARRATIVE IS FLAWLESS, i don't care about the rest of the fight, but seeing Saitama unphased and thinking silly things about Goku is just perfectly on point. "i'm facing an oponent who changes his hair color" is the most Saitama line ever.

As a huge fan of both characters, this is beyond anything I could’ve ever hoped for in a fan animation. Absolutely unreal talent, mind-boggling that one fan created this. Takes one of the most talked about ‘what-if’ fight scenarios, makes it almost an hour long with god-level animation, AND stays faithful to the actual character’s personalities? Bruh this is a dream come true and then some. Watching this made me feel like a kid again, so fucking hype.
Are you sure you are a fan of both? I am sure Goku personally is completely off. He resembles more Vegeta than Goku. Goku is easy going and happy, he would not approach a fight for sparing with this angry and serious attitude and act as a try hard, also he would be overjoyed about facing a powerful opponent, there is none of that in this animation. Saitama on his end is also easy going and he would feel that Goku is not a bad guy from the start, he is the one that see through people considered villains as being actually good guys, he would perceive one of the most good natured people as being a good guy as well. If anything this animation got theirs personalities completely wrong…

I don't know if the creator of this realizes how special this is to me and others. It's two different generations, with one clearly drawing roots from it's predecessor. One punch man was made with dragtonball in mind. Look at the opening villain form the first scene in the first episode, he looks so much like piccolo. The use of side characters and using the mannerism of the characters in how they would ACTUALLY interact was spot on. I am speechless.

I am absolutely blown away by this! Honestly, I stumbled upon this by chance, but this is the best fan animation I have ever seen in my life. I'm and fan of both series and this fight encompassed the way these men would truly fight and the emotions they would feel. (My only gripe is that the audio cuts out during parts of the fight and not everything is subtitled, but that's it.)

I like the idea that if ever pushed to his limit, Saitama would quickly adapt to the nature of his opponent's fighting style. Saitama doesn't have any blasts, but after being hit so many times by Goku's, eventually created his own version.
This is incredible. I've never seen such a well done Goku vs. Saitama. The animation, the sound effects, even the tone of the dialog and the cut aways. It was just like a DBZ movie from someone who really knew their tropes. The production across all of it is unprecedented.
If I had to point out a single mistake, it would be that Saitama wouldn't be shocked or scared by a stronger opponent. He'd only get exited to finally meet an opponent who could give him a proper fight. His whole character is about being tortured by boredom, and longing for an exciting battle. Edit: P.S. This was regarding his exclamations / short reactions earlier in the fight
there are so many things the creator mistaken about Saitama. First of all, he can't fly, he can only jump really high and launch himself with a fart. Second of all, if you guys have read the manga, he can literally withstand a gamma ray burst. Something that can obliterate all life on Earth. Now I don't know if Goku has taken a gamma ray burst, or something similar, but I don't think being able to literally sneeze away the gas from Jupiter would make a fight this long

I tried to stop them, but the army was too large. Anyways, great work man. I loved when Saitama totally Death Punch Countered Goku and Goku came back alive.
This animation is truly remarkable. I mean, one person (or two if him and his partner animated this together already) put their skills, effort, and literal real life time into making this is truly great. Like the other popular fan-made Dragonball animation, "LEGEND." It's literally awesome to see "non-official" (like ones not in offices, or a legit company) do this with mere animation apps. Especially if this was drawn, the art, effects, POV, FOV are truly amazing. This really was close to look like the style of the *2018 Broly movie* style which was literally cool to see in theaters. Another amazing thing was that he (or they if the partner worked on this aswell) actually didn't make this time-lingering and ongoing. It went quick and steady. Saitama having his knuckleheaded-comedic like personality, Goku with his determined getting stronger and fighting spirit head to head together was truly on-point. Saitama using his raw, gifted somehow earned god-like strength before the fight was really on-point toward the anime, which made Goku factually surprised and as he learned, kept on his toes. Including with Saitama as he never really fought anyone as strong as Goku, and to surpass Saitamas limit made him surprised and shocked aswell. It's honestly great how *Etoilec1* kept it on-going with different styles and moves, not barrages and clashes in the air for like 3 minutes straight, there were some of those but really lasted not even after *20* seconds which is great. Letting Saitama be a comedian and not taking this seriously for the first part is honestly on-point as said, he rekted *Super Saiyan 2, Blue, Blue with Kaioken* due to his already earned strength. However, during Goku's "noob" *Ultra Instinct* Saitama still could almost reach him due to the pure/raw amount of strength, merely cutting some hair off. Of course, most of his attacks being avoided and quickly instinctively counter attacked, he couldn't do anything. Finally facing a opponent stronger, Saitama finally feels what being weaker is like, and ignites a flame to empower him throughout and onward for himself, breaking the instinct of *UI* itself, now able to damage and land hits on Goku is honestly pretty natural to see, and for a final shine, Goku gains the inspirational moment of his close-ones and is empowered by them once again, entering the actual serious phase of *UI* being; *MUI (Mastered Ultra Instinct).* He's faster and more precise which Saitama couldn't and most likely wouldn't stand, as shown in the fabulous animation, is defeated firstly by the sheer-amount of power Goku has earned throughout the hard-work and no breaks. Then, exhausted after the really close-called fight, is amazingly normal to see in Dragonball lol, and any fight like that. Of course, this is all fiction, imagination at it's finest, canon or non-canon any factual out-come can go either ways. But it is still really entertaining to see which could win. 50/50, one fanbase with another arguing over eachother. But I got to admit, this is the best, factual, logical outcome I've seen ever. Throughout the stages in the fight, toward Goku entering "godlike" abilities in-which can avoid damage and do damage at the same time, overwhelms a *really* strong human hero. This animation is truly outstanding, great work, take a nice little break, hope you get that office, and goodluck!
This is astounding. I have not seen a better animation battle since One Punch Man Season 1 by Madhouse, Attack on Titans, Naruto or even DBZ. This has all the modern speed, three dimensional space, perspective with animated foreshortening. Not only that, pure respect to the art styles of both One Punch Man and DBZ in their universes itself. The thought of the power-upping respecting the original characters. Compare that to professional studios that completely fumble and laughably ruin final anime Seasons like One Punch Man Season 2, or like Seven Deadly Sins Season 4. This completely blows it away in all levels; the fight pacing, the effort with the dialog and story, the needed dramatic escalation, slow-motion, the pauses, the environmental explosions, the terrain damage, the light effects, speed lines.... I simply have no words on how epic this level of work is. This 42 min battle went by like flash, and I enjoyed every second of it.
Saitama lost but this is way better than most garbage fan made that Saitama lost to normal ss instead without going deeper on his ability. But at least this is somewhat reasonable Saitama is strong but got no technique, and this was made months ago. So, it doesn't include his ultimate martial art that he got from Garou.
The full production weight and time in took to produce non stop animation for 40 minutes is insane. I am a 3d modeler but I still recognize the sheer effort and patience one must take on traditional 2D. It must've took you many months, probably even a year for full production well it depends on the staff size but if you were a lone wolf then you're insane. Either way, i'm glad your video succeeded in views and I hope it made a substantial amount profit worth 40 minutes of storyboarding, animation, compositing, coloring, editing and rendering etc. You created one heck of a project for your portfolio development, you will go far. I could write paragraphs about what's amazing about this, but the short version: This is absolutely one of the best fan animations I've seen. Perfect balance between fights, great dialogue and the mutual respect between Goku and Saitama really shines. Amazing work, can't wait for part 2

I feel like I want to write an essay for how good this is, and I HATE writing essays 8.7 million views is amazing by most standards but not for this. This is the first fan made that I see that is simply pure visual ecstasy. From all the fanfic battles that people have and can come up with regarding Goku vs Saitama, I believe this one feels like the closest to "reality", as maintaining the real personality of the characters is something that is left out during fan fictions and fan made videos, but when someone actually incorporates it into their work, it is a real pleasure to watch. Not only the quality of the animation was amazing but seeing Saitama's and Goku's personalities added into the mix made this feel as if it was something real. Personally, I have always thought that putting Goku vs other characters is simply pointless as Dragon Ball's power scale is so out of proportion and ridiculous that believing Goku is the strongest among all shonen characters is ridiculous to deny. BUUTTT, the way that this battle portrayed both is just something so amazingly done!! Saitama not having a single scratch at base SS Goku at the beginning, then starting to feel something when he Goku goes Blue, and him needing to activate the Kaioken X10 JUST to start making Saitama bleed it's something I can totally buy and see as canon. And what to say about ultra instinct? Godly, beastly, and a I loved how you displayed the ridiculous speed that Goku gets when he's in that mode. And the cherry on top: Saitama being happy and needing to break his limits.. Both ended up looking really good, kinda on par at times, and gosh, the amount of care and LOVE that this work has is just phenomenal. What an awesome job man, this was a pleasure to watch and it will live in my mind rent-free :)

I loved this animation, because of the fact that Saitama is so strong that he is literally never in a situation where he is borderline/wounded, that seeing him in a universe where his level is equal to someone else's, was a magical experience, i hope this continue
More accurately, he's never been remotely injured or scratched in the slightest way. Not even the slightest reaction to any blow. To be honest it feels kinda weird seeing it, since it no longer feels like the same character. He has no known upper limits, and his core character concept is basically not having them, so any imagined fight that reaches them or makes him struggle, effectively has to bring him down to a point of the fan authors choosing, and hope that the next chapters in OPM don't contradict it.

As a huge fan of both characters, this is beyond anything I could’ve ever hoped for in a fan animation. Absolutely unreal talent, mind-boggling that one fan created this.
Takes one of the most talked about ‘what-if’ fight scenarios, makes it almost an hour long with god-level animation, AND stays faithful to the actual character’s personalities? Bruh this is a dream come true and then some. Watching this made me feel like a kid again, so fucking hype.

Are you sure you are a fan of both? I am sure Goku personally is completely off. He resembles more Vegeta than Goku. Goku is easy going and happy, he would not approach a fight for sparing with this angry and serious attitude and act as a try hard, also he would be overjoyed about facing a powerful opponent, there is none of that in this animation.
Saitama on his end is also easy going and he would feel that Goku is not a bad guy from the start, he is the one that see through people considered villains as being actually good guys, he would perceive one of the most good natured people as being a good guy as well.
If anything this animation got theirs personalities completely wrong…

I don't know if the creator of this realizes how special this is to me and others. It's two different generations, with one clearly drawing roots from it's predecessor. One punch man was made with dragtonball in mind. Look at the opening villain form the first scene in the first episode, he looks so much like piccolo. The use of side characters and using the mannerism of the characters in how they would ACTUALLY interact was spot on. I am speechless.

Honestly, I stumbled upon this by chance, but this is the best fan animation I have ever seen in my life. I'm and fan of both series and this fight encompassed the way these men would truly fight and the emotions they would feel.
(My only gripe is that the audio cuts out during parts of the fight and not everything is subtitled, but that's it.)

I like the idea that if ever pushed to his limit, Saitama would quickly adapt to the nature of his opponent's fighting style. Saitama doesn't have any blasts, but after being hit so many times by Goku's, eventually created his own version.

This is incredible. I've never seen such a well done Goku vs. Saitama. The animation, the sound effects, even the tone of the dialog and the cut aways. It was just like a DBZ movie from someone who really knew their tropes. The production across all of it is unprecedented.
Besides, maybe having better backgrounds on Earth, I felt truly immersed and invested in this one.

If I had to point out a single mistake, it would be that Saitama wouldn't be shocked or scared by a stronger opponent. He'd only get exited to finally meet an opponent who could give him a proper fight. His whole character is about being tortured by boredom, and longing for an exciting battle.

there are so many things the creator mistaken about Saitama. First of all, he can't fly, he can only jump really high and launch himself with a fart. Second of all, if you guys have read the manga, he can literally withstand a gamma ray burst. Something that can obliterate all life on Earth. Now I don't know if Goku has taken a gamma ray burst, or something similar, but I don't think being able to literally sneeze away the gas from Jupiter would make a fight this long

This animation is truly remarkable. I mean, one person (or two if him and his partner animated this together already) put their skills, effort, and literal real life time into making this is truly great. Like the other popular fan-made Dragonball animation, "LEGEND." It's literally awesome to see "non-official" (like ones not in offices, or a legit company) do this with mere animation apps. Especially if this was drawn, the art, effects, POV, FOV are truly amazing. This really was close to look like the style of the *2018 Broly movie* style which was literally cool to see in theaters. Another amazing thing was that he (or they if the partner worked on this aswell) actually didn't make this time-lingering and ongoing. It went quick and steady. Saitama having his knuckleheaded-comedic like personality, Goku with his determined getting stronger and fighting spirit head to head together was truly on-point. Saitama using his raw, gifted somehow earned god-like strength before the fight was really on-point toward the anime, which made Goku factually surprised and as he learned, kept on his toes. Including with Saitama as he never really fought anyone as strong as Goku, and to surpass Saitamas limit made him surprised and shocked aswell. It's honestly great how *Etoilec1* kept it on-going with different styles and moves, not barrages and clashes in the air for like 3 minutes straight, there were some of those but really lasted not even after *20* seconds which is great. Letting Saitama be a comedian and not taking this seriously for the first part is honestly on-point as said, he rekted *Super Saiyan 2, Blue, Blue with Kaioken* due to his already earned strength. However, during Goku's "noob" *Ultra Instinct* Saitama still could almost reach him due to the pure/raw amount of strength, merely cutting some hair off. Of course, most of his attacks being avoided and quickly instinctively counter attacked, he couldn't do anything. Finally facing a opponent stronger, Saitama finally feels what being weaker is like, and ignites a flame to empower him throughout and onward for himself, breaking the instinct of *UI* itself, now able to damage and land hits on Goku is honestly pretty natural to see, and for a final shine, Goku gains the inspirational moment of his close-ones and is empowered by them once again, entering the actual serious phase of *UI* being; *MUI (Mastered Ultra Instinct).* He's faster and more precise which Saitama couldn't and most likely wouldn't stand, as shown in the fabulous animation, is defeated firstly by the sheer-amount of power Goku has earned throughout the hard-work and no breaks. Then, exhausted after the really close-called fight, is amazingly normal to see in Dragonball lol, and any fight like that. Of course, this is all fiction, imagination at it's finest, canon or non-canon any factual out-come can go either ways. But it is still really entertaining to see which could win. 50/50, one fanbase with another arguing over eachother. But I got to admit, this is the best, factual, logical outcome I've seen ever. Throughout the stages in the fight, toward Goku entering "godlike" abilities in-which can avoid damage and do damage at the same time, overwhelms a *really* strong human hero. This animation is truly outstanding, great work, take a nice little break, hope you get that office, and goodluck!

This is astounding. I have not seen a better animation battle since One Punch Man Season 1 by Madhouse, Attack on Titans, Naruto or even DBZ. This has all the modern speed, three dimensional space, perspective with animated foreshortening. Not only that, pure respect to the art styles of both One Punch Man and DBZ in their universes itself. The thought of the power-upping respecting the original characters. Compare that to professional studios that completely fumble and laughably ruin final anime Seasons like One Punch Man Season 2, or like Seven Deadly Sins Season 4. This completely blows it away in all levels; the fight pacing, the effort with the dialog and story, the needed dramatic escalation, slow-motion, the pauses, the environmental explosions, the terrain damage, the light effects, speed lines.... I simply have no words on how epic this level of work is. This 42 min battle went by like flash, and I enjoyed every second of it.

Saitama lost but this is way better than most garbage fan made that Saitama lost to normal ss instead without going deeper on his ability. But at least this is somewhat reasonable Saitama is strong but got no technique, and this was made months ago. So, it doesn't include his ultimate martial art that he got from Garou.

The full production weight and time in took to produce non stop animation for 40 minutes is insane. I am a 3d modeler but I still recognize the sheer effort and patience one must take on traditional 2D. It must've took you many months, probably even a year for full production well it depends on the staff size but if you were a lone wolf then you're insane. Either way, i'm glad your video succeeded in views and I hope it made a substantial amount profit worth 40 minutes of storyboarding, animation, compositing, coloring, editing and rendering etc. You created one heck of a project for your portfolio development, you will go far. I could write paragraphs about what's amazing about this, but the short version: This is absolutely one of the best fan animations I've seen. Perfect balance between fights, great dialogue and the mutual respect between Goku and Saitama really shines. Amazing work, can't wait for part 2

This is a true masterpiece and deserves some kind of reward. Although, at 16:25 I feel Saitama would have probably yelled, "I'M GOING TO BE LATE FOR THE SALE!" or something.

This is the first fan made that I see that is simply pure visual ecstasy. From all the fanfic battles that people have and can come up with regarding Goku vs Saitama, I believe this one feels like the closest to "reality", as maintaining the real personality of the characters is something that is left out during fan fictions and fan made videos, but when someone actually incorporates it into their work, it is a real pleasure to watch.
Not only the quality of the animation was amazing but seeing Saitama's and Goku's personalities added into the mix made this feel as if it was something real.
Personally, I have always thought that putting Goku vs other characters is simply pointless as Dragon Ball's power scale is so out of proportion and ridiculous that believing Goku is the strongest among all shonen characters is ridiculous to deny. BUUTTT, the way that this battle portrayed both is just something so amazingly done!! Saitama not having a single scratch at base SS Goku at the beginning, then starting to feel something when he Goku goes Blue, and him needing to activate the Kaioken X10 JUST to start making Saitama bleed it's something I can totally buy and see as canon. And what to say about ultra instinct? Godly, beastly, and a I loved how you displayed the ridiculous speed that Goku gets when he's in that mode. And the cherry on top: Saitama being happy and needing to break his limits..
Both ended up looking really good, kinda on par at times, and gosh, the amount of care and LOVE that this work has is just phenomenal. What an awesome job man, this was a pleasure to watch and it will live in my mind rent-free :)

This definitly doesn’t take manga saitama because in the manga it is explained that Saitama has an unmatched potential able to rise faster than any other opponent but hey the fight was still great + he has no limit
I loved this animation, because of the fact that Saitama is so strong that he is literally never in a situation where he is borderline/wounded, that seeing him in a universe where his level is equal to someone else's, was a magical experience, i hope this continue
More accurately, he's never been remotely injured or scratched in the slightest way. Not even the slightest reaction to any blow.
To be honest it feels kinda weird seeing it, since it no longer feels like the same character. He has no known upper limits, and his core character concept is basically not having them, so any imagined fight that reaches them or makes him struggle, effectively has to bring him down to a point of the fan authors choosing, and hope that the next chapters in OPM don't contradict it.
This animation is better than all animation in OPM season 2!
