    Awesome - it's always good to see someone that can actually hit jumps with style making reviews, so big props there 🤘
    Would love to hear your take on the Ride Shadowban if you get the chance to review one 🙏

    I bought my first Ultrafear in 2011. Flat kick was awesome for many years but once rocker decks came out I didn't like them as much. Still have a 13/14 I ride when it's crusty or icy.

    This years ultrafear is giving of some serious vibes close to the pondskim champ 2018 ultrafear.
    When are we getting a live chat TJ!?

    Is there a reason why you went with a 153 over a 155? I normally ride a 152 W . I’m around 5’9 160 . You think I could get away with a 151W on this board

    need to get my ultrafear out again! but I believe my 2018 version is flat insert to insert, so its way more playful than this newer version.

      Found it interesting they went camber with this model! I also have the 18' model, love it but I just purchased the 2024 DoA for some more aggressive feel so I can progress my carving.
      The flat profile of the older Ultrafear I feel is holding me back there now. I'm glad there's still a bigger difference between the old Ultrafear and newer Capita boards

    I have a capita pathfinder rev, and I love it in the park, but want more pop on jumps, and when getting onto rails. Would this be a good step up from that board? I’d consider myself more progressing beginner-intermediate in the park (180’s/360’s, basic boardslides, learning skate style rails, etc)

    Thank you for the info. Really like this video. Want to buy something like this board, but still not enough info about how it compares with other park/all-mountain boards from Capita.

      @AlexanderKontsevoy Рік тому +3

      Capita park lineup is pretty straightforward (in RRP/tech load increase order):
      Pathfinder - softer, butter- jib- and flat freestyle friendly (camber or reverse - your choice on that); great choice for learning park and for riders who want a softer board.
      Ultrafear - all around park board, not too aggressive, more versatile for park, less for all mountain; great choice if you ride park most of the time.
      DOA - mid-flexing all mountain freestyle twin, versatile for both park and all mountain use; great choice for most riders.
      Indoor Survival - almost full camber, a touch wider (and for some reason directional twin) mid-flexing all around freestyle board, capable of all mountain use; great choice for most riders.
      The Outsiders - more aggressive, almost full camber, jump-oriented, high-end freestyle board; great choice for advanced riders

      @@bebespurswhat do you think of the board now you’ve had time on it?

    • @bebespurs
      @bebespurs 3 місяці тому +1

      @@JonathanAnimate2 It's on of the best ones. Shame that they don't have 158W option. I like it more than DOA, Indoor, BSOD. It has nice snap, stability, carving abilities, but still likes butters and flat tricks (for those who already can ride). I think, it's a best resort board. I bit more stiff between the legs and confident nose and tail. But I choose Indoor just because it comes in 158W. But it's a bit more bouncy in slush because it's a bit softer between the legs. If you like speed, go with Indoor or Outsiders, more park - Ultrafear. But it all depend of your skill level and what you want from the board.

      @@bebespurs thanks for your feedback! Appreciate it. I’ve already got an all-mountain free ride board, Burton Hometown Hero (also quite freestyle friendly) but it’s pretty stiff and catchy for butters. Awesome for jumps though. Sounds like I should lean towards to ultrafear. Thanks. Capita have so many interesting boards.

    Been riding this board (2023 155W) and I think TJ is spot on. In addition to my Deep Thinker 2022 (for off piste/powder) I experience this one even as a good all mountain (both versatile for tricks and stable on groomers). I also ride a Disaster for easy flat ground tricks but still wondering whether I should get a NS Proto Slinger (in sale) and maybe sell the Utrafear and/or Disaster. Any (much appreciated) insights/advice on this?

    • @Lyuboo
      @Lyuboo Рік тому +1

      Last season i bought the 2022 ultrafear 155 (instead of 153, which was mistake) to replace my salomon huck knife. Long story short I ended buying back the huck knife and selling the ultrafear. IMO you can ride ultrafear on the whole mountain, but it is better to have one midsoft flex park board and one for resort/piste/powder.

      So you don't recommend the Ultrafear? I'm considering it as my park board. My existing board is the Burton Hometown Hero.
