I’m 17 and it’s my first year of cheer and I’m on a level 1 team and I can relate well to this video. Sometimes I’m like upset that I didn’t start cheer at a younger age but I’m also glad that I started! This video made my day. Thanks Brooke 😁
Do you know a team that takes people after 17+ I did cheer last year my junior year and can't now cause my school's team is unfair and COVID but I want to continue after graduating I just don't know where to go
so can you tell me something on how to make the team please because I always wanted to do cheer and every day I would go in a 5,6,7,8 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and I just love cheer and im planning on joining the team next year in 6th grade in my school.
I started cheer when I was 14 years old is well, my tumbling is definitely not the best ahah but its allowed me to be a lot stronger in every thing else
I relate to you ! I started cheer when I was 12 and stopped when I was 17. But i recently started again at 20 years old. I'm the oldest of my team and so out of shape haha but i needed to start again I missed cheer so much ! Age doesn't matter, it's your passion and determination that are important. I love watching your videos ! 💕
This is really inspiring. I am 23 and have two kids now but I miss cheer so much. Ive been thinking of getting back into tumbling and seeing if I pick it back up quickly and maybe do all star again. My 4 year old starting gymnastics and just being in a gym again has got me thinking.
I started Allstar cheer when I was 11 and now I’m 13. I gained all level 1 tumbling skills when I was 11 and all level two when I was 12. I grew almost 3 inches last year and now my tumbling is slower and I’m not getting any new skills. I kinda wish I started allstar at a younger age so I had more time.
I’m 12 and I’m starting cheer and I’ve looked up everything and just want to know what basic things I should know going into it. Ik backbend, roundoff, front walkover, front handspring, cartwheel, and some tumble and my friend showed me how to base. But idk if that’s enough
I'm 17 and I've been wanting to try out sports on a team for the first time. Cheer, soccer and volleyball have been among my top considerations. You've been very inspiring, I hope I can overcome my own mental obstacle and do it this year 😌
I'm 16 and started cheer a couple years ago except I have never done a round in my school's competitive cheer. My old coach never gave me a chance, then we got new coaches and they didn't put new girls in rounds. I love cheer, but I never got the chance to prove myself. I want to join all-star to prove to myself I can, I want to do all-star to get more experience. I am hoping to join all-star at some point and I hope I can.
I have social anxiety but I REALLY want to do cheer but I’m 11 so I don’t want to be with young kids because I don’t want to get embarrassed so I don’t know what to do
Mrs Thicccolishus girl you’re still young there will probably be girls a lot older than you I had social anxiety before starting cheer too but it helped me come out of shell so much
so I’ve been watching a lot of nca videos and now I honestly want to start cheer, I know basic terms, tumbling and jumps but I feel like I’d be too old and I still love gymnastics, any ideas?
I did allstar in 9th grade but stopped and now I'm almost 17 in 11th grade and I'm going to my gym's tumbling class for the first time in 2 years and I'm embarassed. They have a no backhandspring class so now I'm gonna be with a bunch of little kids. Last time I went to tumbling I was working on a bhs and the best thing I have is my walkovers. I'm scared to go back.
this is an older video but this is really helpful im going to start cheer soon and im 14 turning 15 and like i did cheer for about a year when i was younger but i stoped and now im starting again but iv lost all skils so its a bit scary so this video is really good and helpfull
I started cheer when I was 12 Turing 13. I have always been so good at dancing, attitude, facials, jumps, stunting. It had always came easy to me. But tumbling was what set me off. All these girls had all these skills while I had everything but tumbling. I took tumbling classes to better me. The spring of me being thirteen I was still taking tumbling classes. I ended up getting my back tuck, back handspring, front punch, Ariel, front Ariel, and front handspring in just four classes. I was so proud of myself. Then an allstar Rec team came about and me and my best friend decided to tryout for the team because we wanted to cheer but ours moms decided it was better to not have to travel as much. We tried out and ended up both making the same team. We were ecstatic. We had so much fun on that team and ended up getting to go to Disney and winning the whole competition! I miss that team so much because it was the first team that stayed in my heart for many years after that. It was my first allstar reputation and those girls and that team just encouraged me to keep going. They will forever hold a special place in my heart. I’m now 17 and those few cheer awards scattered around my room have became the only thing you can see in my room. I have won over 50 spirit awards that take shape as banners, glasses, bows, frame awards, pins, trophy’s, and medals. I have won over 120 competitions that take shape as trophy’s, medals, rings, frames, pins, banners, shirts, bows, and the crazy amount of team pictures around my room holding up that big number 1. And overall I have won the one thing that means more than any of those awards, I have won a family and happiness because cheer is that one thing that keeps me going in life. It’s that one thing that makes me scream like a kid on a roller coaster. If you are every thinking about starting cheer please do! You won’t regret it. No matter your age or skill level it’s gonna be worth it because cheer will cheer is cheer and it’s the one thing that is beyond Exhilarating.
I started this year (12) and I get soooo jealous when like these 7 year olds get there back handspring and tucks, when I’m working on my back handspring.
@@jaelynp7518 i was in the same boat. i didn’t know much at all but i just went to every clinic and conditioning i could and did my best now i’m starting all star this coming season. pls go for it!!!

I need some advice. This is my first season of competitive cheer and I just turned 14. I absolutely love it! I am on a level 2 team ( My gym is a small Christian gym with only 1-3 teams and a team for 6 year olds ) because I can’t do a back tuck and can almost do a back handspring. I love my team mates and my coaches even though the season just started lol. My problem is that i don’t know what I want to do next year. I would like to just do competitive cheer again but it’s expensive and very stressful with school and hw (I barely have time to finish hw) but I love it so much. My other option is high school cheer which looks fun and I could probably join a competitive version while still doing sideline cheer but it wouldn’t push me as much because the varsity team is doing what my level 2 team does. There’s more too it but I wrote so much lol just anyone who wants to give advice go ahead
The reason why high school cheer is a good option because practices aren’t as long and hard and also I can meet people that actually go to my school + it’s cheaper
I’m a freshman in hs and my first year of cheer(not all star ) I was 12 turning 13 and now this is my second year and I’m 14 I don’t do all star but it is still competitive all though it isn’t school cheer anyone the only tumbling I have is back walkover and front walkover, I’m starting tumbling in a few weeks and I’m sort of scared tbh bc I was just learning my back handspring on spring floor when I did gymnastics in 7th grade so about two years ago and now I lost it and I want to have it by tryouts around like April or May I think but idk if I will be able to do that and make it look clean any tips? And I wish I could start this year but it’s already way to late in the season that was a lot lol

I’m a hater on the Junior age range. 5-14!? Like that’s 9 years, every other age group is 7 or less. I feel like if you want to be a Flyer but you’re to old on a junior team, they should just make a different age range. It should be at least 7-14 or 7-13 because it makes stunts different and it looks not in sync. But all my opinion

I love watching your videos

I’m 11 and I’m afraid I’m to old to start 😂
Ruthieee Medleyyy def not too old!❤️
I’m 14 and I’m worried I’m not as skilled because I can’t do a back handspring. But I really want to do cheer
same!
But all my opinion
is 11 too old????
LeBlanc News nope
Definitely not
no im 11 and strting tmrw
