Right? I love the energy, got legit chills. I've never done cheer or similar team sports but I've done performing arts and I can appreciate the feel. I did a season of winterline and at one competition our sound amplification wouldn't work, but setup is timed so we had to get on with the show despite no sound being able to come out from the pit percussion mics (so super quiet marimbas, I was on xylo which carries but was still quiet, virtually inaudible vibraphone, and no electric guitar or bass). We wound up doing one of our best performances and iirc we won that show. Our show was very heavy metal/rebelliously themed anyway so our bassist went ahead and unplugged and during his silent "solo" he went up to the tarp line and waved one foot over it in the air, the crowd loved that 😆 It was great. This video gave me mad nostalgia for that day, good times
Gabby Loy no, her facial expression was fine.😂👍🏻there was nothing wrong with it. It was just she had a lot of sass which is good in dancing and for cheer 🤟🏼
This makes me almost want to cry thinking about my old cheer career. I'm 31 now so it's been at least 11 years for me. I'm literally calling out ever move while I'm watching and encouraging the fliers that are KILLING it. Lol I was a base and I always flew one girl with spotters because we just had bomb chemistry. She trusted me to catch her and support her and I trusted her to hit every move perfectly with precision and land correctly each time (because I didn't want a broke neck or nose). We worked our assess off and were the biggest showboats on the team too lol serving FACE HAIR LIPS EYES...talking our shit after we landed every stunt, tumble pass, dance routine. Lmao...just unnecessary 😂😂😂♥️
Girrllll...me too. I went back to cheer as an alumni at my high school's Homecoming game this year & was in happy tears before and after. I also got to crown my niece bc I was Homecoming Queen 20 years earlier. Dear Lord... I don't want to be THAT old😭😭. My son cheers competitively and just made the Varsity & Competition squads for his upcoming freshman year of high school. I can't believe my only "baby" will be in high school! When I learned I was having a boy 14 yrs ago, I thought that was the end of cheer...but he's an amazing gymnast and cheer was just a natural next step. They should definitely make competitive cheer for adults a "thing".
I joined an all star team when I was 18! I took many tumbling lessons and was with a bunch of kids but if you want it, you gotta go for it. Cheer taught me a lot in self growth 💕
Life With Meg I’m very proud of you! Please don’t let anything hold you back. It doesn’t matter what level your skills are at; The most important thing is being a good learner and listening to your coaches.
I have always loved cheer. I was never signed up for it bc a girl I was friends with went to a really bad gymnastics place and was hurt almost every week. I also went to an expensive preschool and my mom ran her own business. I know a lot about cheer and wish I could compete. But my friend loves cheer so much and I found a new love helping her practice and cheering her on from the crowd.
Am I the only one that gets chills when watching these. Also this hits home because I remember going to cheer competitions and hearing the crowd roar was the best thing ever. 🥺
One thing I've noticed in this video that I don't see a lot, was the weight and height difference. Where I'm from each team is the same height and extremely close to the same shape of body. This video was amazing
Every single one of those girls are so talented, to have so much faith in performing the stunts and then trust the girls and guys below to catch them is unbelievable, well done for the hard work and dedication you all put into your performances, I applaud each and every one of you 👏 👏 👏 👏
Yo I’m a year late 🤦🏼♀️ I am a competitive cheerleader, and I can tell you, cheer is a really hard sport to do. For anybody thinking about doing cheer... do it! It’s so fun and you make so many new friends!
I have the most respect for them and their amazing talent that is unbelievable complicated for them to master that learn that and be so great kudos to you ladies🙌🏼
Even though there seemed to be one Pitts stunt that didn't stick, just overall they were amazing to watch. The energy in all the tumbles, jumps, and lifts was mesmerizing.
Boys in middle school would say that to my friend and one time I said "4 square is not a sport but you still act like it is. And if you don't stop harassing her, I'll make slapping you across the face a sport so be quiet." Long story short, I scared the crap out of them (bc I'm taller than all of them and can take them out at the knees) and they stopped.
Those bows in their hair almost deceiving, they’re not little bunnies they are athletic beast. Love the sass from all, that little blonde showing her flexibility & strength while yelling & fist pumping was epic!
I'm so impressed with this sport that I only know from american movies (I'm from France). I'm wondering: who are the men in blue shirts in the 2nd routine? Here to catch a girl if she falls / something goes wrong? Are they part of this team or do they help all the teams that day? Is it something usual? I never saw them before, maybe I wasn't paying enough attention ^^
saramilles i forget what they’re called but they often have these extra spots like you said in case something goes wrong.. often for younger levels, and they help out all the teams competing
Oh une française !!! Si tu veux faire du cheer en France il commence à y avoir pas mal de clubs (: Et pour ta question les spotters sont obligatoires dans beaucoup de compétitions.
I honestly like watching these they're fun .....but I am annoyed by how STIFF some of these girls are! And who does their music mixing? Its so freakin chaotic! I'd have a heart attack trying to follow music like that...
@@lindsayebert3565 I've really never witnessed music like that for cheer routines. Mashups and remixes, yes, but that seemed really poorly mixed almost to the point of it didn't really makes sense . Just me I guess.

I feel like movies don't do justice to how hard and incredible cheerleading is like it's really a hard sports not just dancing but gymnastics and lot of this are actually required shout-out to all cheerleaders out there
They are very good! For everyone that thinks that cheer isn't a sport, well you're wrong! My daughter is a cheerleader in G-force Galaxy team and she already made a BFF.
Cheerleading where I live sucks , it either drama or they just don't put the effort in trying with routines yet they have the talent I drop cheerleading because of it..and other reasons but that was the main thing
The crowd helping the Cougars keep count is heartwarming.
It makes it feel like the crowd supports everyone
Omg one time my (and my teams) routine music just turned off and everyone was counting including teams we were up against
@@munsonlover5677 I love competitor support stories. 💖
@@moniquesalazar1678 yeah it made us feel a lot better

I had a comp yesterday our music went out and the crowd yeelled the counts
Yeah… it happens… a lot

This really needed strength,trust,and teamwork
I, agree 100% percent.
Agreed and that teamwork requires choreography, lots and lots of practice. These cheerleaders are phenomenal to say the least.
thank you
Hi girl

The girl at the beginning is a meme right??
Avuzwa Khumalo yea

Never felt so untalented before

At least you still have all your ribs and joints intact.
Well I do cheer so..
When everyone was counting I started crying because even though we are rivals doesn't mean we hate each other
The cougars one made me tear up a bit tbh, it’s amazing to see cheerleaders support cheerleaders considering there are so many rivalries in this sport
This always happens 😊. Just not usual in such a big stage!

ForeverEbony go for it. Really great experience
I love the first face. Her aura personifies the evil glow of a cheerleader. American cornerstone.
Right before every competition I tell everyone that if the music stops keep going and just count out loud.
Everyone should know that already but unless someone had gotten Injured then you stop
