Fantastic work Peter! Despite the router blowout your craftsmanship shows with the results of the completed gutter. Keep up the great work. You're almost at the 30 thousand subscribers mark!!
This show has become the highlight of my sunday watching. Always learn something and always amazed by your work and how well thought out your techniques are . Thank you for the education.
I enjoy seeing how you use what tools you have to get the job done. The gutter and curve on the back are great examples of your thought process. Thanks!!
You are exceedingly creative at problem solving. I was mystified why you didn’t use Saran Wrap to prevent any unwanted bonding. Thanks for all your efforts!
I’ve considered putting brow gutters back on my 1975 Ed Monk Sr Roughwater 35, as some well-intentioned soul removed them at some point in the murky past. This episode was great motivation. Talk about gutter though, your favorite way of getting bungs out: some heat and a screw…😂
Using epoxy is the reason I always have either wax paper or parchment paper in the shop. Plastic sheet works great as well- but only with epoxy. Poly will melt plastic anything
Hi Peter. Your show is my guilty pleasure, my dream is to have a live a board in England, either the canals or my favourite place the NorfolkBroads. Keep up the amazing work.
I always look forward to your new episodes (while I work through the first 400). My gutter-to viewing of the week. That was a bad joke, but I am a dad. I'm sure you'll get to 30,000 this week!
I chuckled today on your comment about mild steel fasteners. I have been fighting that on my boat for the last week or so. Who thought that was a good idea?!?😮
We have started our trip North to Desolation Sound and feel great. I am definitely not feeling like a gutter ball just now. Not quite a strike, but very close to it. Resting up today after some walks and engine "room" maintenance. Onward tomorrow with Gig Harbor or Eagle Harbor for a night plugged in. But as of now, day 3, still at 80% SOC on LrFePo4 battery bank and FULL on FLA house bank 2.
Congratulations on reaching 30k subscribers, very much deserved. Excellent show, great problem solving as usual in the creation of the port side gutter. Enjoy your beer, cheers🍺
The love and happiness is a boy and his dog. Hello Peter, the gutter looks great and the opportunity for the future is always looking forward to the question, 'What these are you working on?'. Cheers
Congratulations Peter on hitting 30K! I have been watching you for a few years now and look forward to every new episode. I don't see the need for the gutter. It seems to me that gutter would be overwhelmed with any rain. I really appreciate the technique you share in maintaining these wooden boats. Best regards.
Damn you are good at that stuff. I have done massive work on my own wood boat, but you have much more sophisticated methods of getting the job done. I wish I could find someone with comparable skills, but they just aren’t out there.
Hi Peter, you always make me laugh when you grunt, grown and sniffle it’s so funny I see and hear an adult doing that anyway it’s pretty entertaining always makes me laugh up the good work always enjoy the videos and your skill with the timber and restoring these old wooden boats from Australia
Peter l have been enjoying watch you and your magic since the airstream telling countless others of your show hopefully you have picked up my wife and myself both really really really love it love it love it have a blessed week be safe and happy
Peter, long, long time subscriber. My attention span tends to wander on my UA-cam subscriptions, but I never loose interest in your episodes. Also wanted to commend you for having such impressive results with very basic tools. Your creativity towards tools is amazing. We don’t need a $100k workshop! Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for inspiration and great entertainment.
there were so many moments in this project that could have gone so wrong... It could have led to some over indulgence in beers of the week which may have led almost inevitably to waking in the GUTTER!!
Thoroughly enjoyed that episode. Great work with the gutter trim rail. Hope all works itself out with the shed but it was certainly necessary and I'm not sure it would have been possible to do what your doing without it.
Sometimes a do-over is a blessing. That technique with the skill saw is a neat trick, I had no idea you could do that. Some good work going on up there this week!
Peter, your way of doing things with what you have is very wholesome to behold! I'm sure there are specialized instruments to produce a gutter like the one you made - but I find this rigged hand saw very satisfying!
I always enjoy watching a craftsman work his magic, but I screamed when I saw you use the router backwards when routing the gutter, been there done that. 😖 The trim turned out beautiful. You and Lady Z must be proud of how beautiful the boat is looking. Stay safe but have fun. 🛥🇺🇸
I really appreciate your craftsmanship.....but I have a question: once you give up the boat shed where are you going to store all your woodworking equipment and supplies??
Ohhhhh Peter I'm so glad you didn't throw a gutter ball on your second attempt and building a beautiful wooden gutter l understand why you didn't buy mv Zephyres it's not very straight is she
I was surprised when you clamped raw wood to a glue joint, just wrapping the pressure boards in plastic would make for an easy remove. I also know the strip is in no way 'structural', but I'm so used to seeing 'Ship Happens' pre-wet the scarfs with straight epoxy before applying the thickened 'glue', I wondered why you prefer not to. It's obvious these rails won't suffer any loads, but will straight thickened epoxy resist delam over time? Not criticizing your preferred method, just curious as to how the mind of an Expert Woodworking Guru works... Oh, and...Yonico 16181 Horizontal Crown Router Bit... 🤔Yay Geordie! 🐕
Why O why you didn't look at the Bible of everything UA-cam. And mount your trimmer/ router onto a plywood board, then you could mount to your work bench and use like a router table instead of balancing your work on edge, then you could have two hands on the work piece and also you won't cut the wrong way and ruin your work. Just an idea....
Packing tape works very well for preventing glues and epoxy from sticking on other pieces of wood
A whole episode with Peter's mind in the gutter. Overheard at the wooden boat show: She's high maintenance, but she's got fair curves. Cheers!
Fantastic work Peter! Despite the router blowout your craftsmanship shows with the results of the completed gutter. Keep up the great work. You're almost at the 30 thousand subscribers mark!!
Loved watching you create the jigs for the gutter.
Peter you Mastery of Wood knows no bounds. 😅 That is just stunning work bar non.😅 Keep at it chap.😅😂
Congratulations on the cove-cut with a handsaw. I shudder when I make them on a table saw!!!
This show has become the highlight of my sunday watching. Always learn something and always amazed by your work and how well thought out your techniques are . Thank you for the education.
Looking forward to the live stream!!
I enjoy seeing how you use what tools you have to get the job done. The gutter and curve on the back are great examples of your thought process.
Thanks!!
Great job Peter, the gutter looks amazing.

Lovely work Peter and I’m GUTTER’ed 😂 the episode was only 43:53 minutes could watch your projects for hours can’t wait till it’s haul out time again
30k congratulations! That gutter looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing your mistakes too. It turned out better because of it.
Holding thumbs that you reach 30K this week!!
Using epoxy is the reason I always have either wax paper or parchment paper in the shop. Plastic sheet works great as well- but only with epoxy. Poly will melt plastic anything
I really enjoy watching you work on such detailed pieces of trim with such ease while my skill level is in the gutter compared to yours. 😊
Very nice on the woodworking. Love how that Mahogany works, too bad it's so hard to get good stock these days.
Hi Peter.
Your show is my guilty pleasure, my dream is to have a live a board in England, either the canals or my favourite place the NorfolkBroads. Keep up the amazing work.
Mine too.
Hi Peter, in the future you can use the grip on your tape measure as an eraser for pencil mark in most cases. Try it.
I always look forward to your new episodes (while I work through the first 400). My gutter-to viewing of the week. That was a bad joke, but I am a dad. I'm sure you'll get to 30,000 this week!
Beautifly done Peter....as uasual👋
I chuckled today on your comment about mild steel fasteners. I have been fighting that on my boat for the last week or so. Who thought that was a good idea?!?😮
I keep a roll of waxed paper in the woodshop to wrap my clamping cauls with, or place under glue-ups.. they never stick to oozed out glue.
Congratulations on a milestone of 30k subs, you deserve a lot more for your great content so you never end up in the gutter..!! ATB
Great video Peter. Interesting gutter work 👏👏

I always thought Geordie was the better looking boat. Peter lady Z’s boat is looking Amazing !! What you have both done is incredible !!
Congratulations on reaching 30k subscribers, very much deserved. Excellent show, great problem solving as usual in the creation of the port side gutter. Enjoy your beer, cheers🍺

masterpiece done by a master of woodworking!
Damn you are good at that stuff. I have done massive work on my own wood boat, but you have much more sophisticated methods of getting the job done. I wish I could find someone with comparable skills, but they just aren’t out there.

Your attention to detail still amazes me. Just beautiful work.

Great craftsmanship showing what can be done with imagination and skills. Your films are fantastic. Many thanks.

🤩🥳 Congratulations on 30k subscribers 🎊 🎉
That new Brow Gutter makes one hell of a difference and its looks great. cheers Peter.
Goodonyas for "gutter" ing it out with everything all at once!
Fantastic work on the sliding saw radius jig .you always find a way to work thru a problem .
UK ,viewer here always look forward to your video
Great work! Congrats on reaching 30k!
Great work Peter, cling wrap (glad wrap) ,works well as a non stick barrier against the apoxy.
What a beautiful gutter, no kidding, that was really something to watch! Thanks Peter!
Thoroughly enjoyed that episode. Great work with the gutter trim rail.
Hope all works itself out with the shed but it was certainly necessary and I'm not sure it would have been possible to do what your doing without it.
Maybe a table mounted router would be more stable .
That was a genius approach for creating the cove. You’re a very resourceful man.
Great job.
OMG! Wood boats are a lot of work!!!
You need to prep some Thai curry to compliment that IPA, not forgetting to use tamarind..
Yeah 30.000 fans, thats fantastic. Gratulation Peter!
Great work as always Peter! And with my roots from back in SW Nova I have to say, 30 Thousand, ah, you got’er ole son! 😜
Congratulations on 30k subs 🥳
Sometimes a do-over is a blessing.
That technique with the skill saw is a neat trick, I had no idea you could do that.
Some good work going on up there this week!
That’s a sweet gutter - impressive skills pulling all of that together!
Peter, you got results that reflect your talents worthy of being appreciated by any sea worthy sort, "AYE"...thxs for sharing
Almost 30k subs!!! Well done Peter. Onwards and upwards
Enjoyed this episode Peter ...many thanks from T.O.
MORE FINE BUSINESS!!! CHEERS from HERE!

Fantastic work Peter, always great entertainment.
Nice work Peter. Making a well fitting gutter is much better than being in the gutter.
Wax paper peter. Wax paper
Nice work Peter !
At 34:35; I thought, your little lady should show up with a cup of coffee? ;-)
Oh, never mind, you just said the ladies are away.
Stay safe and we'll see you next week.
Great job Peter I love it,love it.....
Those are going to be some easy gutters to clean after fall time! Do you have any plans to cruise down to the puget sound?
👍👍👍👍👍
Other people don’t know what they are missing
красота
Gutter'done.....
I really appreciate your craftsmanship.....but I have a question:
once you give up the boat shed where are you going to store all your woodworking equipment and supplies??
Many want to meet Andrea but Peters gutter!
Ohhhhh Peter I'm so glad you didn't throw a gutter ball on your second attempt and building a beautiful wooden gutter l understand why you didn't buy mv Zephyres it's not very straight is she
9:22 Wax paper?

I thought you had a mini Bosch Router Table? That would be the way to make that grove, rather than going with the unstable hand router.
I think supporting and guiding a 17 foot piece of trim past a router bit in a small space is the reason.
Rather than using packing tape to prevent epoxy sticking, you can use a zip-lock bag. This will come off really well and is re-useable.
Why use cedar for guide? Couldn't you use garbage wood? Am I wrong, cedar is cheap?
my gosh Peter. At least clamp your piece to the bench while free handing.
Why not start your own company for teaching wood boat repair.
Trump commercials? Really??
You do not have to explain every little step of your work - You talk too much !
Maybe extractor bits?
