This was fascinating. So much so, that I had to google it to see what exactly was going on.. lol! Needless to say, I’m not confused anymore..
Before I read the landlady and the lamb to the slaughter I never realized how well Ronald Dahl could write a thriller. It’s incredible how he could write so well in different genres besides children’s fiction
His stories are definitely worth creating a film adaptation of..
Great film, you could maybe do your own sequel to this short film. It would be nice to see more short films of The landlady on UA-cam because it's a well written story.
Weaver ignores numerous and obvious warning signs. He’s unbearably naive and trusting!
Slightly rewritten i think but a very good job. The cast is really good, and the score spot on👌 very chilling.
Who else is here for english class?😂
Mee😂
Fantastic! 👏👏👏
Lovely to see my man Connor showing off some of his talents! Also those Crabsquid sound effects from subnautica caught me off guard. I'd recognise those anywhere.
Great short film!
Thanks for the review! Those sounds you mentioned are not actually from what you said. It was sounds and tracks from Audio Network. Although, good pointer.
@@CammysCandyReviews really? Well then they must have got their sounds from the game Subnautica because they are ripped straight from the game. There was even the sound of bubbles from the rebreather helmet.
Fantastic film based on the legend that is Roald Dahl. Total masterpiece by Cameron and the team. Inspiring work right there!
Fantastic camera work and direction 👏
Much appreciated!

Big fan of, Tales of the Unexpected The Landlady. Why didn't you do the ending?
I think personally I feel I couldn’t even execute the original ending. It was so sad simply done yet so powerful. I also wanted viewers who haven’t seen the original episode to have been left on a cliff.
@@CammysCandyReviews Ok... I can get that. But a remake should be done in it's entirety. But that's me. Thanks for replying and good luck on your Film making. I did enjoy it.
@@CammysCandyReviews is they're an ending part which we could see Im very curious about what just has happened to him after that ....😅
@@vivekgowda8020 Yes mate, there was a scene prior to the end scene with The Landlady in her kitchen beside the guestbook and she stares in catatonic and leaves the frame and it cuts to that same door we see halfway in the film with the red light.. assuming Billy is now inside that room
Leave viewers hanging huh? I’m confused😂😂😂😂😂
My school played this lol
That’s great to hear! What country did you view from?
@@CammysCandyReviews United States
