The lines your playing are absolutely Amazing!!!!! They sound very “Thematic” and on purpose. I love this type of playing where one phrase leads to the next like movie scenes 🔥🔥🔥🔥Super “Cinematic”
Brother, there were some ill phrases in there. I vocalize some of my ideas, but it kinda depends on what I'm doing. I have noticed that when I do it too often, I will catch myself holding my breath for certain phrases, and such, and it can actually interfere with my timing, making me subconsciously rush the longer I hold my breath, so I try not to. You asked what folks are up to. I'm trying to learn better control over my C4. I know you already have at least one Source Audio pedal, but if you don't have a C4 yet, you NEED one. Not even joking.
No one starts off good. It's a good skill to develop though because you can more easily connect your melodies and phrases to your mind and what direction your mind wants to take things in. It's a good constraint at first because you have to actually pay attention to everything you play. Eventually though, the goal is to completely connect your playing and muscle memory to your mind and the music you want to create
amazing insight. the "breath" as it relates to phrasing on the instrument is genius

Great video..!! ( I’ve been looking to find a good loop pedal )
Had to do the stank face😖🤌🤌🤌🤌
stank face is also clinically approved for improving phrasing ✨

I think there’s some Bb minor hexatonic stuff in there :)
what brand/model is that sweet sweet bass?
It’s a Ken Smith 😁
Jazz bass or P bass?
I love the sound of both! Using one or the other depends on the song and what the vibe is.
I am never Not vocalizing internal and external
